How you can improve this site and what I am doing as I once again go behind the scenes to work on a few things.
What you can DO
1. Do not engage in political threads unless you have critiques of a specific policy. avoid talking about individuals or political movements as a whole unless you have some critique or analysis of some sort of underlying philosophy. Some examples may be criticizing the liberal assumption of people being blank slates at birth and all differences in the outcome being attributable to environmental factors or criticizing the conservative assumption that meritocracy is possible or desirable.
2. Expand the community outward. Start a blog and link to the blog from here and vice versa. By creating that community outside of this site and then infusing them into this site, you expand the number of intelligent people on this site and help build a debate community, that will still exist if this site disappears tomorrow. preferably the overlap with each other, blog, and VLOG communities, means we just need a few people handy at coding with some free time to rebuild this at any point, or if there is no desire to rebuild this, then you have built yourself a bigger network and strengthened your ability to argue your position and persuade by making debate a part of your broader life. If blogging or Vlogging is not your thing than build a twitter presence and start intertwining this community, with the one you build on Twitter, facebook or truth social even.
3. Another thing I used to do when I was on debate.org, is I would come up with a debate topic and reach out to bloggers. I found a conspiracy blogger and challenged them to a debate on whether the Red Cross had occult origins or not. I also remember a time where I challenged one of the local heads of Mothers against Drunk Driving to a debate on whether drunk driving should be legal or not, so if you ever want a good debate and can't find one here than perhaps go seek out some activist organization. Just keep in mind that people who join things like MADD, usually do so because they lost a loved one to drunk driving or had other personal tragedies, so definitely be tactful in challenging people to debates.
What I am Doing
1. I am slowing down and scaling back my participation here. Mafia will likely consist of 1 or 2 high-quality posts on my days off or 7 shit posts that barely contribute on the days I work. I will vote occasionally on debates but not participate much in the forums
2. I want to make a bunch of low-effort content that expands my circle to intertwine it with this site, like I suggested above. The way to do it, from what I can see from others, is have a unique philosophy that can just be repeated over and over and applied to a wide variety of circumstances. Hoe math has 1 philosophy that he quickly creates a ton of videos with by applying it to differing circumstances. His content is like 10 pages of notes. With a simple 10 page philosophy it can be done and then it is a matter of learning how to edit in some minimalistic way among other things and hopefully the content pisses off enough people where they want to come here and debate it.

So I will often challenge people on the long-term effects of policy on future generations and people have begun to notice. There is a train of thought that policy-making should focus on short-term impacts and that future generations can go fuck themselves.
I don't usually talk about things like long-termism because it's pretty niche and it's one of those ideals that has origins in the lesswrong community. I no longer associate with the community and closely related ones like effective altruism, but their ideals have been very influential on my thinking and approach. Now that we have some famous cults forming from branch off organizations and Sam Bankman Fried being associated with it, I just don't mention or engage with the less wrong community. I also have philosophical differences of belief with them, due to them being retards who actually care about avoiding cognito hazards and encourage a conservative approach to technological advancement.
Anyway, longtermism is popular in these communities and I mention them so you know where to look to engage with thinkers who promote the ideology and to learn more about the ideology itself.
essentially most of us would agree that a trolley heading towards 5 people and we have the option to throw a fat guy over a bridge to stop the trolley from killing the 5 people, we would agree that is a good thing.
Well there is more future people on the planet than current people. We have like what? 7 billion, well there are trillions of future people and when making a policy position it is more ethical to make a decision that positively effects those 10 trillion people than to in the short term care about the effects on a mere 7 billion or so.
Peter Thiel I believe understands longtermism and so does JD Vance as an associate of Theil's which is why you will occasionally see him slip and talk about how those with children will normally support better policies, all else being equal. This belief comes from the belief that we should be willing to make some sacrifices in this generation if it makes the lives of trillions of future people better.

Yesterday, as I'm sure you heard, Kamala Harris announced her running mate for president, and the media got their talking points. Like the Operation Mockingbird assets that they are, they mindlessly repeated them...... "Kamala Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. What does Walz bring to this? He's described as cuddly. I think she went for maybe a little more of a cuddly choice. Tell us more about the texture of the man; he seems to almost have a twinkle in his eye. Tim Walz is the opposite of weird. He sounds like a football coach, a hunter you could visit with at the hardware store. If you had "weird" and "anti-weird" in the dictionary, you'd have Tim Walz's picture there. I bet he knows how to make a good hot dish casserole. It's his authenticity, an authentic communicator. The word joy comes up a lot. He's joyful, he seems happy. Oh, he's happy, alright—happy to push the most leftist agenda that the Marxist Democrats could possibly imagine, including giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens.

When I'm having a tough day or I'm out on mile five of my run and feeling down, I think, Ilhan Omar is a congresswoman, and it just brightens you up. So thank you. Since all the world is a stage and politics is one gigantic reality show, the Democrats staged this cringeworthy phone call between Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, informing him that he was the pick.

"Listen, I want you to do this with me. Let's do this together. Would you be my running mate and let's get this thing on the road?"

Look at him, just a normal Midwestern guy wearing a t-shirt and his hunter's cap, who’s putting tampons in boys' bathrooms. Then he joined Kamala on stage in Philadelphia, and he is quite talented at reading the teleprompter—you’ve got to give him that.
"When it was Republicans who were talking about freedom, it turns out now what they meant was the government should be free to invade your doctor's office."
He's talking about abortions, of course. "In Minnesota, we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make, even if we wouldn't make the same choice for ourselves. There’s a golden rule: mind your own damn business."
That's interesting because in 2020, during the COVID pandemic, he created a hotline for people to call and snitch on their neighbors and businesses that were violating the stay-at-home orders. So the decision in November is quite clear: it's cackling Kamala and Tampon Tim or Donald Trump and JD Vance. This is a guy who's proposed shipping more manufacturing jobs to China, who wants to make the American people more reliant on garbage energy instead of good American energy, and who has proposed defunding the police just as Kamala Harris does. They make an interesting tag team because Tim Walz allowed rioters to burn down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020, and then the few who got caught, Kamala Harris helped bail them out of jail. It says a lot about Kamala Harris that she doesn't care about the border, she doesn't care about crime, she doesn't care about American energy, and most importantly, she doesn't care about the Americans who have been made to suffer under those policies. We’re now just 90 days from the election, so buckle up because things are going to start accelerating and getting more intense and strange. There’s going to be more disinformation because there’s nothing the Democrats and Marxists won’t do to try to stop Donald Trump and JD Vance from winning.

According to some reports. Joe Biden is dead and the Whitehouse is waiting to announce it until after the DNC.
Got a weird lead on a story that people should look into. I got a call from a source close to Las Vegas Metro. The official story was that Joe Biden's trip was cut short last week due to COVID. However, according to this source, US Secret Service informed LV Metro that there was an emergency situation involving Joe Biden and to close necessary streets so that POTUS could be transported immediately to University Medical, which they began to do in earnest. Then, mysteriously, there was a stand down order and the USSS informed local Vegas PD that they were going to "medivac" POTUS to Johns Hopkins, which they presumed meant fly him back east ASAP. Apparently the rumor mill in the police department was that Joe Biden was dying or possibly already dead.
I didn't think too much about this lead, seemed too wild to be true, but given that Joe Biden has been out of public sight for days and dropped out of the race via an X post, and his brother James indicated health was a factor, I'm beginning to grow more curious if COVID or something else has been more serious than reported. If anyone with LV Metro has information, please email [email protected]. I want to hear if there is more to the official story than what they're telling us.
