Then the Democrat party will officially be the the cause of the end of democracy as they install Kamala without a primary vote. It's over for real this time.

Yeah, they should have free elections like people in Russia and North Korea have.
Lol

@Best.Korea
At least they pretend to have elections. DNC didn't even put up that much effort to install Kamala.
-->
@Best.Korea
also, Lol.
As of Monday afternoon, Harris had already secured the endorsement of 1,1152 of the 1,986 delegates she would need to win the nomination.

@FLRW
Without democratic elections. Thank you for agreeing with the OP.

@FLRW
Vote Kamala! Oppress MAGA!
Also, GreyParrot, if you want free elections, you should move to Russia.
Lol
Wasn't the act of voting for Biden the same as tacitly consenting to Harris as the nominee if Biden dropped out? Since, you know, she was his running mate?

Yes, this way at least they have the same ticket. I do think they knew Biden was dropping out. Vivek Ramaswamy said he was in a debate 6 months before it happened and Newsome was being debated because desantis knew Biden was not the front runner.
If he is dropping out after the primaries the most fair way to do it, is to have kamala lead the ticket, but he absolutely should have dropped out prior to the primaries

When voters had an actual democratic choice between Biden and Harris in 2019, she lost big time. It's unreasonable to think a vote for Biden was a vote for Harris. It's also unreasonable considering that Harris scored lower than any woman running in the democratic elections of 2019 dropping out before the Iowa caucus to make room for Warren and Klobuchar. Regardless, the pubic got the worst kind of bait and switch, and that is far from democratic. But nothing unexpected from the party that politically censored Bernie Sanders for being too popular.

let me get this straight, if the democrats put up a candidate for an election, that's the end of democracy? The republican candidate tried to overthrow an election through violence, but it's kamela harris that is ending democracy? That is straight up delusional.

And Trump is saving democracy. He even sacrificed his ear.

@Best.Korea
And Trump is saving democracy.
oh yes, the only way to save democracy is to seize power by force and prevent the winner of the election from taking office. That's the trump way.

@HistoryBuff
Thats how they saved democracy in North Korea.

@Greyparrot
What upsets you more about Kamala: Her being a woman or her being black? I know, back in your days, only white men could be presidents.

Lack of primary elections should upset every democracy lover.

Show us on the doll where Kamala oppressed you.

Column: Is replacing President Biden as his party’s nominee an attack on democracy? Hardly

Obama adopted an identical stance four years ago when Biden’s aides pressured him to endorse early in the Democratic primaries before Sen. Bernie Sanders dropped out. (Obama’s favored phrase back then was “I don’t want to thumb the scale.”) Endorsing too early now would also be a political mistake — fueling criticism that Harris’ nomination, should it come, was a coronation rather than the best possible consensus under rushed circumstances, they said.

They have nice elections in Russia. You can flee there from Kamala's oppression. Its really over for MAGA now, since Kamala abolished democracy. Lol

No it was consenting to Harris if Biden became unfit to serve after winning the election.
You can't consent to what you are being deceived about. The NPCs are easily fooled and believed Biden was actually being considered for leader instead of a partially mobile figurehead.
They told them "Biden is an honest genius", people with honesty said he was a crooked dementia patient.
By pulling Biden they are tacitly admitting he's a dementia patient. The only reason they would do it now instead of before the primaries is to prevent the democratic party as a whole from democratically choosing their nominee.
It's no different than if Trump choose Alex Jones to be his VP (now, after the primary) and then dropped out to play golf. A party nomination is not a wildcard to be used at the whim of the nominee and anyone who treats it like that doesn't think too highly of democracy.

Primaries do have benefits. They can help vet general election candidates by giving the media and political rivals opportunities to expose their weaknesses before it’s too late. One reason many Democratic insiders are worried about the prospect of nominating Harris is that she hasn’t won a truly competitive election in recent years. Others say she’s the best choice partly because she was tested (with mixed results) in the 2020 Democratic primary campaign.
But I have yet to meet an informed Democratic insider who thinks Harris is the best candidate to run against Donald Trump. She might be the best possible candidate given the calendar, campaign finance rules and political considerations, but that’s a different argument. Given that Biden and Harris are the most unpopular president and vice president in the history of modern polling, party elders might have chosen to deny both of them the nominations if they could have.
Nice article.

They have good primaries in Russia.

"How dare they pick Kamala? Cant they see that she is a woman?"

@Greyparrot
Its not like Trump will ever win the popular vote. If it was up to democratic vote, Republican party wouldnt even exist.
We need to get rid of the Electoral Vote. Go back to the popular vote. The United States has been the only democracy in the 21st century that still uses an electoral college to select its executive president. The other democracies that used an electoral college for these elections switched to direct elections in the 19th or 20th century.

That's why the party is in shambles. She was a DEI pick according to Biden.
