Speedrace- You are George Carlin. Carlin was one of the greats in comedy. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind both politically and philosophically during a comedy set. Even if the audience was completely silent during one of his rants, he never let it bother him, and never skipped a beat. He had a magical way of captivating his audience despite talking about things that were very controversial, in a time where most comedians were still using slap-stick humor. Carlin was a gem in his time, and when he passed, there was no replacing him. Unfortunately there are very few comedians as raw and authentic these days as Carlin was. Though many try to follow in his footsteps, we will never have another like him. You are the 1x Janitor. One time in the game you can janitor a player. You will receive their character and role, but it will be hidden from the rest of the town in the graveyard. Just like Carlin, that player will not be replaceable. You win with the mafia. Wylted- You are Dave Chappelle! Dave Chappelle has been around for a while, even had his own T.V. show. After a long Hiatus, he returned with a banger Netflix special that put him back into relevancy. Chappelle is constantly tracking what’s going on in the news, politics, and social issues and isn’t afraid to talk about hot button issues. Because you keep track of what’s going on in the world and aren’t just absorbed into the comedy scene, you are the tracker! Each night you can track a player to see who they visit. Drlebronski- You are Louis CK! Louis CK was an amazing comedian, arguably one of the best since Carlin. Your humor, while often self deprecating, was relatable and absolutely hilarious. However after the media broke out with a story about you masterbating in front of women privately, you basically dis-appeared from the world and had a movie you were directing get cancelled.You have had minor appearances since then for local comedy clubs but will likely never be as big as you once were. This will be a 9 player game. The game is specifically designed around that player count, so I cannot adapt for more or less. So hopefully this fills up.

As someone whose old DDO account "TUF" was literally made in honor of the show, I'd say I am a pretty big fan of it. There was no cooler feeling then watching Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar throw hands in the season 1 finale. I don't know about you guys, but I feel like the UFC as an organization doesn't put a big enough spotlight on the show. Edson Barboza is a great fighter, but tbh I am not watching the fights tonight for him. I am going to watch it because I saw Ricky Turcios, Brady Hiestand, Bryan Battle, and Tresean Gore battle their asses off over the last couple months on TUF season 29. I feel like I've seen very little advertising or hype over this event though, and I feel like the UFC misses out big time by not promoting the TUF finale's like they used to. Which feels wierd to me, considering how many UFC champs have come from being contestants on the show, hell Kamaru Usman was a TUF fighter. I had no idea Tresean Gore wasn't going to be fighting this weekend, for eample until I google'd it last week. I have all the MMA news apps, and none of them headlined his knee injury. That's literally insane, because there wasn't a fight I wanted to see more than Bryan Battle and Tresean Gore. Like WTF UFC?! 

Why put all that time, money and effort into the show just to put like 0 effort into advertising your TUF finale's? Not to sound like a boomer, but "Back in my day" TUF finales got just as much hype as the major UFC events. Hell, they were major UFC events. I have friends who are barely aware or interested in TUF anymore. I feel like that's a culmination of the show just not being a major focus of the UFC's marketing team, and I don't actually know why they are letting something that could be a big cash cow go to waste like that. 

That said, I am excited to see the fights this weekend.

My prediction is Battle wins Gurbina, Turcios wins Hiestand based on the fights on the show. Actually really happy to see Gillmore fight Petroski, since both lost to submissions on the show and didn't get to showcase their skills. Also Gillmore seems excited to be there, and given how easily he dropped everything to be a replacement on the show he definitely deserves this. I am sure that's why Dana put him on the card. I don't really have a prediction for this fight, but am interested nonetheless. 

No money really to be made from this card unfortunately, so probably won't be betting. The guys I think are likely to win are already vegas favorites lol.

After that impressive win over Derrick Lewis last night, I think fans are more excited than ever to see these two go at it. How do you see this fight going? It's been almost 3 years since Ngannou has had a fight go past round 1 or 2, does it matter after seeing Ciryl Gane looking fresh af in the third round after TKO'ing Lewis? Is the Muy Thai, the crazy conditioning and atheletism Gane have enough to take out Ngannou? 

TBH I think Gane wins but I would love to see this fight happen soon. What are your thoughts?

GG's to all who played. Whiteflame and supa worked really well together and made a high risk high reward play with using the redirector on lebron instead of blocking him. if he had tracked white or supa it would have worked against them.

Welcome to day phase 1 of my game called TUF Villains!

There are no third parties in this game. The setup will be 2 mafia vs 8 town. Mafia were not provided with fake claims nor do they know the theme split. I will once again be open that in my opinion, this is not a complex theme split. While I don't like games being broken by theme, I feel like too many mods over complicate the theme split or provide mafia with fake claims so often that theme can often be irrelevant. I want it to be a tool for those who want to invest the effort in to help them, but at the end of the day the game is always more about behavior.

Welcome to my game "The Ultimate Fighter Villains"!

This was a show up I grew up watching, being a huge UFC fan since I was 16. Dana White (the CEO of UFC) created this show as a competition for up and comers to prove their worth in a bracket style MMA competition. The winner of the competition earns a 6 figure UFC contract, and the coaches of both teams fight at the end of the show. The show was popularized during the surge of reality TV shows. All events that happen are real on the show, and with a bunch of testerone filled MMA fighters, the show runners knew there was bound to be drama. We are now 29 seasons into the show.

This theme was the basis of my DDO username, and it's long overdue for me to do a theme related to this. That said I do like to make my games friendly to people who aren't familiar with my themes. The theme split in this game will not be complicated. Mafia will be given no fake claims either. I want to start my games in a direction that encourages some theme research, and with non complex theme splits I think it isn't too damaging. 

By villains, I mean "people who were controversial or deemed to be bullies in the competition".

Hi, I am making this forum in hopes that (was it Michael?) the owner of the website can see this and answer some questions. 

I think you have a great idea with the website, and the patreon is also a good idea. I have donated myself a few times to the patreon, but have stopped because it seems like the sole purpose of the patreon is to just float hosting costs. How interested would you be in making useful updates to the website based on member suggestions? If this was the case I would be a lot more willing to donate more consistently to the site if I thought something was being done to improve the site rather than just maintain it's existence. I can't speak for others but I'd guess you would get more people willing to donate to the patreon. 

One update I would like to see and feel like wouldn't be crazy expensive or hard to implement would be group messages, among other things.

Anyways, I just wanted to put it out there that I think you could probably not only make money for server costs but also make a little extra on the side if you were to implement community suggestions once in a while with the patreon page. Let me know what you think.

You better believe me, because I am a great big deal!” This book is about a woman who escapes her abusive husband and starts a new life. You are the hider! Each night you may choose a person to hide behind. If that person is targeted for the night kill you will die to. Otherwise you will be unaffected by night actions. You win with the town. Bullish- You are Misery! This book is about an ex nurse, who kidnaps her favorite author whilst pretending to help him. Annie Wilkes is soon found out to be psychotic and ends up helping and harming her patient equally. You are the Jailkeeper! Each night you can protect a player. Protecting them will also roleblock them in the night phase. You win with the town. (Killed NP4)

Speedrace- You are The Shining, easily one of King’s most known books. This book is honestly pretty terrifying, and has one of the scariest scenes I’ve ever read when Danny enters a tunnel in a frozen playground. Since the hotel basically possesses people, you are the 1x amnesiac. You may select a person in the graveyard and inherit their role. You win with the town. (Lynched DP3)

Elminster- You are the Regulators! This is an intense and rather crazy book filled with constant death and a feeling of inescapable relentlessness from a murderous bunch roaming a previously peaceful neighborhood and mowing down the residents in drive by’s from differently colored vans. It is later revealed that the occurrences are happening from the mind of a young boy named who’s been possessed by a demon named Tak. Tak uses Seth’s favorite T.V. Show “The Regulators” to his advantage by creating real life MotoKops to kill the innocents anytime they attempt to leave their home. You are the Roleblocker, and can prevent a player from using their role each night. You win with the mafia. (Lynched DP2)

iLikePie5- You are Doctor Sleep! This movie is about a nurse with a dark past who helps the elderly pass peacefully. He befriends a young girl named Abra through telepathic powers and assists her in escaping some life sucking vampires called the “True Knot”. You are the doctor, and can protect a person from dying in the night phase. You win with the town. (Killed NP2)

I know Wylted has always been controversial, and a bit trollish. Dude probably has a bunch of mental issues as well, and I've seen him being offensive. I could almost buy many of the other reasons to ban wylted temporarily (within context to how strict moderators here are, and I've come to accept that isn't going to change). Misterchris said he did something unforgivable, and I got it from warren that he "catfished" a 14 year old or something. That sounds bad on paper, until iLikePie just linked me to the thread. Not only was he clearly non-serious, he was acting like a 13 year to make a point. There was nothing pedophiley about that exchange unless you were already looking for an excuse to ban him again, which, let's be honest, you probably were. If you get on the mods bad side, it seems like they will take any excuse to ban you lol. To be clear I thought the allegations against bsh1 for pedophilia were pretty dumb as well, but I bet most the mods here took bsh's side on that one too lol.

Sorry the game was so quick. Town was stacked. Mafia had counters to everything but there was not a ton in the way of confirmable roles they could claim, but drafter did well with what he had I thought. Wanted to start experimenting with not giving fake claims, to harden mafia mindsets but I kind of expected it to hurt here, but still drafter and chris picked up on the split pretty early.

Drafter chose to sacrifice the narccisist role for the mafia seer prior to np1.

You retaliated with the Red Wedding, which was seen as a betrayal by the north, but let’s be honest, who betrayed who here first? Joining the Lannisters was only natural at this point. Speedrace- You are the Hyenas, from The Lion King. King Mufasa banished you into the elephant graveyard to starve, just for being different. I mean do the lions who also eat other animals and justify their survival as “the circle of life” really have a high horse to sit on when judging other animals who eat for survival? No wonder all it took for Scar to win you over was offering you food. While the hyenas put on a fierce predator face, they prove to be relatively harmless in almost every scenario in the movie, not even able to take on a warthog and a meerkat. You are a vanilla, and can influence the game with your voice and vote. You win with the town. (Killed np3)

MisterChris-You are Batman from DC comics. You seem to have moral qualms with killing bad guys, but are perfectly okay with brutalizing people and leaving them with injuries that should be paralyzing or torturously leaving them in pain. It would be a mercy to kill them after the way you handle people. But nooo, not good old Batman. You allow yourself to sleep at night by not killing them, even though most of them would probably rather die than remain a cripple for life. As Batman has a bunch of gadgets that give him a variety of abilities, you are the JOAT. You have the following abilities and you can choose one each night: Janitor, Ninja, Lawyer, Framer, Strongman, Scout, and Lookout. You win with the mafia. 

(Seriously, how is the guy in 2:40-2:45 not fucking dead? Not to mention the grenade scene like 15 seconds earlier. "I dOnT kIlL pEoPlE")

Elminster- You are the Wicked Witch of the West. Or so they call you. Seriously, what's up with this “wicked” adjective they have to put in your name? After some young girl enters your realm and brutally murders your beloved sister with her house, all you want to do is mourn. The last collectable possession of your dearly departed sister are her shoes. Not only does the murdering bitch Dorothy kill your sister, she has to take your only memento you have of her and wear them. That’s some serious serial killer vibes there, some Ed Gein type of stuff. Well you aren’t just gonna stand there and let her get away with that! Luckily you have some tools at your disposal you find this heathen. On odd nights you are the watcher, and can use your gazing ball to watch a player and see who visits them in the night. On even nights, you are the tracker, and can send your flying monkeys to track the whereabouts of another player. You win with the town.

He made some good calls with the tailor role, which was a huge gamble given how many power roles town had this game, but it paid off well. Manipulated town into thinking there was more scum than there really were and forcing lynches.

The cop targets were amazing, and the way they played it was brilliant. 2 Guilties in a row were stellar, and mafia were pretty confused as to who the cop was until POE absolutely forced it down. 

Balance thoughts? I expect to hear a bit about how tailor is pretty OP. I do agree with that sentiment. However the way I designed this game was that scum had to leave themselves extremely vulnerable anytime they used it. It was a big gamble as that JOAT was their only protection against investigation roles. They basically had no roleblock, redirect, anything when they would use it. Also town had a ton of confirmable roles (though this was also designed to build skepticism and lead mislynches among the town, as well as to balance mafia's super JOAT role that basically counters everything). Town would have had a very good chance of winning this had the bomb mishap not happened DP1. Town besides maybe two town players who knows who they are, played pretty well this game but were met with the unfortunate circumstances with greyparrot's bomb.

BTW as soon as I did the roles and saw GP rolled bomb I had the temptation to switch him with someone else because I had a feeling he would do what he did. But I also kinda thought it would be funny to see how it played out. It definitely was, but yeah I would be pissed if I was on his team lol.

8/10 of the last games are town wins. My question is: What's up with this? I remember multiple complaints on Debate.org all the time how town rarely won, mafia tended to go on huge win streaks. Looking at the general balance I'd say most of these games were pretty fair and balanced, with maybe slight variables, or arguments that some are swingy, but in general I don't think those aspects would effect mafia skill all that much. I have my own theories and ideas for what's going on, but I am genuinely curious what some of your thoughts are on this trend.
