Well recently at work, we have a new GM who looks just like a perfect gnome. I haven't seen such a perfect gnome looking woman in years.

How the Presidential Election Will work

1. The Dart presidential election will be held on December 14th of this year. It is a process necessary to give a single voice to the community. A place where we can have a voice that can either work against or with the site administration to improve this place. This is very necessary given the general incompetence of the mods appointed for god knows what reasons. 

2. Only Candidates involved in an official Party will be able to run for office. The party will work among themselves to figure out how to decide a candidate to represent them. In order for a Party to be officially declared it needs 10 party members registered. You can start a political party by creating a thread and declaring one, and then getting 10 people on board.

3. You can only sign up for one party and switching parties is not allowed. Ever. Do not join a party unless you are sure you want to stay in that party. 

4. I will personally be moderating the election to make sure things run smoothly on December 14th.

5. Site administration will be disqualified from voting in the election. They already have a voice.

6. Prior to the election, a member of the site (with my approval) may be considered toxic and put on trial. If they lose the trial, they will not be allowed to vote. We don't need toxic members having a voice in the direction of this site. 

7. A presidential term will last 1 year. 

I am putting together my report on the events not only surrounding the possible collusion and obstruction in the Hall of Fame election, but on the mass bannings that took place around that time. I have reached out to upwards of 20 members, but I may have missed possible witnesses and others who have information. I can't tell the difference between illusion and reality. The holding cell I was sitting in seemed real. The rough looking black guy beside me was being confronted by a female officer. She talked to him in a harsh tone.

Too me the guy seemed weak, scared timid in that situation. There are many ways to make debating pay. The site is already hosted in some shithole country beyond the reach of the American government to shut it down as a gambling site. We should be able to make live wagers on debates.

It is important for the early users of a site to establish an appropriate culture. I at first assumed that the culture from DDO would carry over, or that a common sense naturally arising one would occur, but it has not and will not. It is up to the more experienced debate site users to impose a culture, so we can ensure a suitable atmosphere to come to. 

Some people have done a great job of imposing an appropriate culture as it is. BSH1 has created voting guides that should be read by every person who has not read them.

Ramshutu is surprisingly (To me anyway), doing a great job of modding votes on debates. Ragnar is leaving comments on debates and interacting with new users in a way that pressures them to create better debates as well as leave better votes. I think we can all apply more peer pressure in this regard though. Ads work, if we could make our profile page advertisements for appropriate behavior by posting bsh1's guides and other useful information it would be helpful at imposing the correct culture. If we interact with and teach users the correct ways to do things, it will help impose the correct culture by applying peer pressure. 

I'm sure I will be leaving out some people here, and I am sorry, but others have done a good job of imposing the correct cultural mentality on this site as well. The group known as the Deplorable's, have fought against overzealous moderation, and the current moderation team has respected this push. I'm sure many other culture wars will happen in the future of this site, but our side must win, if this site is to remain usable. 

The reason we need to worry, is because I see another culture starting to fight the correct culture for dominance. There are 3 main values (that I want to focus on) that the correct culture has, that this new culture does not. I will label the correct mentality as DART elite mentality.

The other culture that we need to declare war on is more of a Reddit mentality. They value;

I call it a Reddit mentality, because like redditors, instead of caring about the quality of content, they just care to promote content that appeals to their biases.

The bias could be overcome. I could argue better than my opponent on DDO and with such a controversial position, win 50% of the time I out argued my opponent by a small margin. However on DART, because of the influx of Reddit mentality, I must win by a large margin. If I win by a small margin on a controversial position, I will always lose. This is because of the Reddit mentality, of voting for content you agree with and against content you disagree with. I am going to say it. On this site, at this time "Confirmation Bias cannot be overcome". 

Here is what you can do to help.

1. Go out of your way to cast fair votes on controversial debates.

2. Post BSH1's voting guides to your profile wall so they get more exposure

3. Talk a lot about the culture of the site to new users.

The Redditors on this site are fond of teamwork. You can see it when one of our less popular irrational not sane members, post about bullying, perceiving everyone and everything as an oppressor. They are defending others, (or themselves with the ruse of defending others) because they do not understand that the site is about learning to defend your ideals against heavy scrutiny. It is about toughening people up. If we want the world to be open to discussing various ideals, if we want people to come out of their shells so they can contribute to society through the spread of their ideals, than we need to stop defending people and to allow them to grow a set of balls, so that they as individuals can make the world a better place, instead of depending on you to do it for them.

Here is how you can help

1. Don't defend anybody who is feeling attacked, and if they are legitimately being attacked just report it to a mod.

2. Don't defend anybody, even if you agree with them. Allow their conversation to happen so they can defend their own ideals.

3. If somebody defends a person you are talking to, do not engage, Ignore them and continue attacking their points.

The Redditors can be seen at the top of the leader board. On DDO the leaderboard was occupied almost exclusively by scary debaters, because most debaters were not scared to make debates they stood a good chance of losing. This is not to dismiss all people near the top of the current leaderboard. Oromagi is legitimately tough as an opponent, but most near the top are not as tough as him. People should be mocked for taking easy wins, they should be confronted so they know, we know, they are cowards. If you see somebody who is exclusively padding their record with easy debates, try to snipe them, if you see an opportunity. If they place a debate, and you see a way to take it off topic, because they fucked up the resolution, than do so. Hopefully judges are sympathetic to what you are attempting to do.

It's honestly not even a challenge to debate blacks and if you are black do not accept a debate with me, because I don't feel like wasting my time debating somebody with an IQ of 85, just to get to the foregone conclusion. I am one of the lowest ranked debaters here, but sadly still undefeated against the negroid population.

I am the lowest ranked DART debater (type 1 is banned so technically I am lowest). I am page 7 of the leaderboards. Ask me any advice on my strategies and for any tips debating in this format.

I've changed my mind about activist judges. The justice system is broke and instead of discourafing activist judges from counteracting a fucked up system we would be better served by demanding they counter act it until it is replaced with a system that is perfect. The fact that we have an autistic user literally threatening every member of the plastics and even the loose outliers of the group, who are not official members of it, but more like honorary members, is ridiculous. Anyone who is aware of the mods Recusing themselves of dealing with you, please let me know below, and your theories for why. There are many problems with this practice though originally I thought it was a a good ideal. You are supposed to pick a well respected member of the site who has a history of and is not afraid of butting heads with you to take the role. It seems that this time the person chosen was not chosen for these traits, but merely chosen for their ability to be a puppet and to create plausible deniability for the mod team. 

The mod's Recusing themselves is just a way to deal with members they label as toxic, without having to take responsibility for their decisions. Right now, I ask BSH1 to be a man, learn real leadership, stop creating layers of plausible deniability and take responsibility for his decisions. If you can't be a fair mod to somebody don't recuse yourself from modding them, recuse yourself from modding altogether so somebody who can mod EVERYONE fairly , can step in and take the job. I have 40 subordinates at work. I haven't reused myself of dealing with any of them. It's bad leadership and a cowardly way to insulate yourself from criticism in how that individual is dealt with.

How is this even relevant. If I see child porn posted on a debate I just have to ignore it now, instead of reporting it, I have not abused the report function. This is unfair and unjust.

I am about to be banned 3 days because Castin said if I do not apologize I will be banned. For all anybody knows all PM screen shots of my interactions with bsh1 have been faked by him, so no evidence against me that is believable is out against me. I did tell him and virtuosa I lied about bsh1 in the debate, but for all they know I merely did that to defend his reputation to a couple of people close to him, and that my original allegation was honest.

I have very little time to make my case as I assume I will be banned shortly, but my philosophy is that in the debate, and as long as these things do not have provable repercussions outside of a debate that any arguments made should be permissable given the tabula Rasa method most judges should be using. That means if I need to lie about an opponents behind the scene manners to win, it is permissable.

In short, it can not be proven I lied about bsh1, screen shots can be and often are faked, if I did lie it is permissable to lie to win a debate, and if not permissable than the punishment does not fit the crime.

As an example. After I ran against BSH1 the first time I ran as president. I saw a nasty side of him behind the scenes. A side I didn't think existed. I won't go into details but I'm sure many of you are aware of a tad bit of that. A few days ago I was  reading through old DDO PMs and reading through a few I have with him reminded of this. Reading through those PMs brought back some feelings I had at the time. I was wondering if that nasty side of BSH1 was him showing his true self, or if it was something else.

I have very few friends, but the friends I do have are fiercely loyal to me, as I am to them. I'd kill for them, and them for me. I don't have many friends because I usually am betrayed at some point, in some way. I always assume those monor betrayels are them showing their true self. Perhaps it is because my public image is so carefully curated (offline) that I feel like those cracks are just the real person showing through, but is it something different?
