However, he had never seen glory in the military, with one of his biggest accomplishments overthrown by Pompey because the latter took credit. As such he decided to take non-Senate approved legions to take the riches of Parthia who had long been a thorn in the side of Romans. When they say money doesn’t buy everything, it definitely was true for Crassus. Rather than going through Armenia, a friend of Rome, Crassus decided to go through the deserts of Mesopotamia. He reached flat ground where the Parthian horse archers had superiority against the legionnaires who had the burden of their armor and weapons. As such, the Parthian peppered the Romans with arrows all day. When the Romans formed a testudo, Parthian cataphracts would crash into the Romans causing even more losses. The Roman army simply could not move with horse archers surrounding the square box Crassus had formed. Crassus and his son were killed, and Caesar was assassinated days before leaving for Parthia to avenge Crassus. You are the 2x Roleblocker. Each night you may select a player. Hannibal's superior tactics, namely his positioning of cavalry and infantry and Rome’s vices such as elitism and poor generalship led to the destruction of Roman forces leaving the doors to Rome wide open for the Carthaginians. First, the Roman Noble Cavalry did not enjoy the company of the Auxiliary Cavalry, thinking them inferior, leading to non-equal numbers on the wings. Hannibal positioned his strongest and highly numbered cavalry against the Nobles who quickly broke and ran. Meanwhile the heavy Iberian infantry under Hannibal collapsed in a semicircle around the advancing Romans who thought they were winning, thus sealing the deal. Because of Hannibal using his advantages for tactical superiority and not facing defeat from a superior numbered Roman force, you are the 2x Strengthener. Each night you may select a player. That player's actions that night will also be immune to interference (i.e. they cannot be blocked, redirected or protected against, etc). You win with the Town.

Lunatic - Battle of Watling Street - Boudicca, Boudicca, Boudicca. Queen of the Iceni, she led the revolt against the Roman occupation of Brittania burning Camulodunum and Londinium to the ground. The governor of the area, Gaius Suetonius Paulinus was not in the eastern part of Brittania where the revolt had occurred, campaigning in the west instead. Upon hearing news, he rushed over to face the incoming threat. With 10,000 toppers, he faced around 100,000 Britons with their chariots and warriors led by Boudicca herself on a chariot. He could’ve had another legion, but the commander he had left in the south did not send any reinforcements, likely hoping to take advantage of Paulinus' death. Nevertheless, Paulinus chose his position well, protecting both sides from the flank, with a jungle to his back. He energized his troops calling the enemy uncivilized and prone to the might of Rome. In the end, the Romans easily won, with the legions suffering only around 1,000 casualties, while the Britons lost 100,000. This battle proved that when the Romans could select their battlefield, they were unstoppable. You are the 1x Commuter. One night you may decide to commute. This will make you immune from any and all actions for that night. You win with the Town.

Wylted - Battle of Teutoburg Forest - You are one of the worst Roman military defeats and show the easiest way to defeat the normally unstoppable Roman legions. Arminius, a Germanic tribesman originally but educated by Romans, knowing Roman tactics, purposefully led the Romans into a trap. Governor and commander of the XVII, XVIII, and XIX legions, Publius Quinctilius Varus mistrusted Arminius and didn’t conduct any recon within the area. Within the Teutoburg Forest the legions had to walk 1-2 men side by side negating their formation because of the thick woods. Furthermore, because of the rain that fell that day, the Roman equipment became extremely heavy unlike the Germans who wore little to no armor while ambushing the Romans. The Roman line was so long that the vanguard and the front could not be heard or seen, allowing the Germans to cut apart the Romans piece by piece. With this defeat, the expansion under Emperor Augustus finally ended, leading to the Rhine as a de facto border. You are the 2x Redirector. Oromagi - Battle of Alesia - One of Gaius Julius Caesar’s greatest victories, you were the last major conflict of Caesar’s Gallic Wars. After Vercingetorix’s scorched earth tactics, he was forced to occupy Alesia at the request of his commanders. Caesar in hot pursuit laid siege to Alesia building a massive wall around the outskirts of the city to protect his troops in case the Gauls sallied out. But Vercingetorix proved to be a formidable adversary, with the Gauls assembling a force multiple times the size of Caesar’s to break the siege. In response, Caesar built another wall locking his troops in the middle. One to keep the outsiders out and the other to keep the insiders in. Furthermore, when the Gauls in Alesia ran out of food, they sent their women and children out for Caesar to feed. As the leader, he chose to save the food for his own legionaries rather than his enemy, protecting them from hunger. These tactics proved fateful in finally ending the Gallic resistance leading to the Roman Civil War. You are the Doctor. Each night you may select a player or yourself. MAFIA WIN
Town in this game was disastrous. Three No Lynches in a row should never happen especially if it’s not MYLO. I don’t understand how there was not a lynch between Oro or Supa cause it was obvious one of them was scum. Role Cops should immediately be suspicious especially if there’s a Cop counterclaiming.
The second issue was the fact that if y’all didn’t even consider that if you lynched Grey, there wouldn’t be a town protective role in this game especially with a Judge and a Mafia NK present. Grey didn’t defend himself either which just hurt town, but the entire situation could be avoided if we lynched people earlier.
A third thing was that no one asked for justifications and there wasn’t any analysis into them either. Speed’s justification was so bad that I’m disappointed the political junkies in the game didn’t call it out right away. What Senator implement[s] the systems that track down domestic terrorists. That’s the job of the Department of Homeland Security, not a Senator. Committees are in charge of oversight, not implementing systems.
Overall Town was extremely lazy and so inactive that they deserved to lose this game. Even after the 3 No Lynches, they had an opportunity to win but it failed to materialize.
The theme was the two youngest senators vs everyone else. I was sad that there wasn’t more thematic analysis in the game cause that surely would’ve let to criticism of justifications and Grey’s role being justified.
In terms of balance, I thought this was pretty well balanced. In hindsight though I’d tweak the Gladiator role a bit to reset the time clock by a period of time like 36 hours or something.

Supa - You are Josh Hawley from The Show Me State, also known as Missouri. As the junior senator, you easily defeated corrupt Claire McCaskill 5.8%. Now with the retirement of Roy Blunt, you will become the senior senator from Missouri after the 2022 Senate Election. Prior to being the Senator, you were elected as the Attorney General of Missouri in 2016 by a landslide margin against Teresa Hensley, while Roy Blunt only won by like 3% against probably my favorite Democrat, Jason Kander. Throughout your tenure as the Attorney General, you were the leader of numerous investigations to determine the roles of different actors such as Big Tech, Former Governor Eric Greitens, and Opiod Manufactures in possible crimes against the people. You are the MAFIA STALKER. Each night you may visit another player. You will learn the role of that player. You win with the Mafia.

Your primary job is to vet AG nominees and judicial nominees selected by the President to ensure they haven’t committed any shenanigans.You are the ODD-NIGHT COP. Each odd night you may investigate a player and will learn whether they are innocent or guilty. You win with the Town.
Lunatic - You are Cory Booker from The Garden State, also known as New Jersey. You are the junior senator, even though you should be the senior one cause Menéndez should’ve lost. In 2020, you ran for President, but were utterly defeated in the primaries, but luckily you were up for reelection and won against Rik Mehta by 16% in a landslide. You’re pretty much the male version of Kamala Harris, not just cause you’re black and young, but policy wise y’all have a lot in common too. Maybe it’s cause you had your Spartacus moment during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing that you didn’t get the nomination for President, who knows? You are the 1X GLADIATOR. Once per game you can publicly announce that you are challenging a certain player, which will cause only you and that player to be votable on that day. Greyparrot - You are Susan Collins from The Pine Tree State, also known as Maine. As the senior senator, you are quite literally one of the most impressive politicians I’ve ever seen, even though I think you’re a RINO. Literally everyone thought you’d lose to Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon (well, except me), but you pulled off the victory by 9% avoiding ranked choice. Not a single poll showed you ahead of Gideon, but you destroyed her. It was mainly due to your bipartisanship, which I have to commend you for, but you’re still a RINO. I hate indecisive people, so pick a freakin side. You’re always the key vote, maybe you’re just an attention seeker. You are the 2x MEDIATOR. Each night you may target another player and choose to either protect or roleblock that person, provided that you did not have a standing vote against anyone at the end of the preceding day phase. MisterChris - You are Rand Paul from The Bluegrass State, also known as Kentucky. As the junior senator, you are the shine of the GOP, while your colleague Cocaine Mitch represents the rot in the GOP. You’re pretty libertarian, but always support your principles regardless of which party supports it, which I deeply admire. You were first elected during the 2010 amidst the Tea Party wave and still hold to their tenet of fiscal conservatism. If Donald Trump weren’t on the stage, I’d have supported you 100%, just based on a stance that you get from your father Ron Paul, who also ran for President previously. Wow this was such a great game! Probably one of the most suspenseful games I’ve created. I think the balance was a tad bit scum sided; in hindsight I would have made the Tracker a JOAT with a Watcher or just a 2x Tracker.
Bullish actually got the theme DP3 I think, which I think is the first time someone figured out the theme in one of my games. Kudos to him! The theme was the 3 most senior members (served the most number of terms) of the House of Representatives vs everyone else.

Crafted by a master swordsmith, you will never break no matter how many times you are used against the minions of Ganondorf. You are the 1x WEREWOLF. Below is a list of roles that are in this game. One night, you may choose one of those roles and visit another player. If the player you visit has the chosen role, you will kill them and become LYNCH PROOF the following Day Phase. If they do not have the chosen role, the player will survive and your identity and role will be revealed to the Town the following Day Phase. You win if you are the last player alive. Master Sword - The bane of evil, the only way to stop the killing of evil is to put the King of Evil himself down, thus ending the game. Through the course of the game, Link kills hundreds of Ganondorf’s minions without remorse using you freeing the six sages from their slumber. Because you are the item used most throughout the game almost solely to kill, you are the Serial Killer. Each night you may visit another player. That player will die. You win if you are the last person alive, thus ending the game. (NOT REVEALED UNTIL MAFIA DIE).

Danielle - Ocarina of Time - You are literally what the game was named after. The most priceless possession of the Royal Family of Hyrule, you were entrusted to Link by Princess Zelda to keep Ganondorf from claiming the Triforce. Every song that you learned throughout your journey has various powers and uses and can be played using the Ocarina of Time. You are the DREAMING GOD. As an active night action: you must play one of the following songs: Zelda’s Lullaby, Sun Song, Saria’s Song, Epona’s Song, Song of Storms, Song of Time, Prelude of Light, Minuet of Forest, Bolero of Fire, Serenade of Water, Nocturne of Shadow, and Requiem of Spirit. You may choose each song only once, and will not know what the song does until you use it. You win with the Town.

For some reason you hate enemies that dance and false doors too, but that doesn’t compare to helping Link protect the Goron race. You are the AVENGER. Each night you may visit another player. If that player dies the night you visit them, you will receive a gun to use that night. You win with the Town.
BearMan/That - Eye of Truth - The best thing about you is that you can spot hidden doors and entrances. As a matter of fact, you are required to complete the Shadow Temple: a place full of death and sorrow. Keep in mind though that Link can only see the truth when he looks through you. Blind spots can result in zombies and the undead coming out of nowhere to attack and possibly kill Link You are the 2x COP. For two nights you may visit another player. You will receive a report of "Innocent" or "Guilty." You win with the Town.
Crocodile - Hylian Shield - The shield of the defenders of the Kingdom of Hyrule, your prominence is well known throughout Hyrule. Even an ordinary foot soldier can get a discount for you through some connections at the town bazaar. Reflecting projectiles is a specialty of yours, which has saved Link in numerous sticky situations, but be careful of the Like Likes! You are the GHOUL. Each night you may choose another player. If you would be targeted by a killing action, that action is instead redirected to your target. You may only successfully redirect a kill once per game. You win with the Town.
Greyparrot - Kokiri Tunic - Who could ever forget you. Keeping Link warm even in the cold is probably your best use in my opinion, although you aren’t fire resistance nor water resistance like the other tunics. Either way, the green helps you blend into the landscape in Hyrule Field and in the Lost Woods. Not to mention it makes you look like a Kokiri, even though you’re not, which helped Navi track you down. Adventure began in the green and ended in green from each thing you found to the end. You are the TRACKER. Each night you may visit another player. You will receive a report of all of the players your target visited. You win with the Town.
WaterPhoenix - Golden Scale - Eh, to be honest you aren’t really needed unless the player wants to complete 100% of the game. Your precursor is the Silver Scale which can be won after playing a minigame in Zora’s Domain. After obtaining this from the fisherman, you can dive even deeper than when you had before with the Silver Scale, allowing Link to obtain a heart piece. You are the STRENGTHENER. Each night, you may target a person: that player's actions that night will be immune to interference (i.e. they cannot be blocked, redirected or protected against). You win with the Town.
Intelligence - Empty Bottle - The most useful item in the game. Capturing a fairy in you can give Link full health if he is defeated. Unfortunately in the process, you wither away into nothing. Furthermore, you can hold various other potions and even creatures of terrors called Poes. The first bottle Link finds is with a note though asking to be saved, so do as you please. You are the 2x JAILKEEPER. For two nights you may visit another player. They may not be targeted by other players and cannot target other players themselves. You win with the Town.
Ayyantu - Nayru’s Love - Named after one of the three ancient goddesses, you're not accessible until late in the game. Not to mention you’re found in the middle of the desert, and the goddess you were named after ascended to heaven to create the Triforce. You have great use in reducing the damage Link suffers, but unfortunately you cannot stop Link from dying at the hands of enemies. You are the ASCETIC. You cannot be targeted by non-lethal actions.You win with the Town.

SirAnonymous - Boomerang - Discovered inside Lord Jabu Jabu, you are one of the most useful items in the entire game. From killing and retrieving Gold Skulltulas to slamming the butt of a giant Octorok, you always come back Link, no matter how far away you go. Killing bubbles and hitting tails is also one of your favorite past times. Following your target is your job and you do it magnificently. You are the MAFIA STALKER. Each night you may visit another player. You will learn the role of that player. You win with the Mafia.

The theme revolves around weapons/tools. Those that could be used only as Adult Link were Third Party, those as both Adult and Child Link were Town, and only as Child Link were Mafia.
Town should’ve easily won this game as soon as they lynched The Godfather. Speed claimed Seer which outted him instantly if any of y’all bothered to check the role lists. His description of the role wasn’t even close to what the actual role does.
I personally thought the game was pretty balanced but as always I am open to criticism of any sort for future games.

Mharman - You are Major General James Ewell Brown Stuart. Arguably the best cavalry commander during the Civil War, your unit was known as the “eyes and ears” of Lee’s army. However, at the onset of the Battle of Gettysburg, you were nowhere to be found choosing to capture Union supply wagons and threaten Washington D.C. instead of linking up with General Ewell. Because you weren’t where you were supposed to be, you are the 1x Commuter. On one night of your choosing, you will leave the village and won’t be able to be targeted by any action (lethal or non-lethal). You win with the Town.
BearMan - You are Major General Lewis Wallace. You were the man who single handedly saved the Union from defeat on the verge of victory. As a last ditch effort, General Lee had sent General Early to threaten Washington D.C. with 15,000 men in hopes of relieving pressure in Virginia. Although you lost at the Battle of Monocacy, your delay of the Confederate advance by one day with the 5,800 men from the VIII Corps, allowed for reinforcements to arrive in time to defend the capital. For this reason, you are the Physician. Each night you may visit a player (or yourself). You will prevent any actions that would kill your target (unless they explicitly bypass protective roles). You win with the Town.
SirAnonymous - You are Major General Henry Halleck, commonly known as “Old Brains.” You served as the General-in-Chief of the Union army until you were replaced by General Grant. Under your command, you believed in preparations and defensive fortifications rather than straight force. For this reason many of your subordinates routinely ignored your instructions, but later as Chief of Staff of the Military you were placed where you belonged - preparing and equipping the Union Army for offensives into the Shenandoah Valley and Virginia as a whole. For this reason, you are the Bookie. Each night, you may guess who will be eliminated the following day (or that no player will be eliminated the following day). If you guess correctly, you may kill someone the following night, in addition to your normal ability. You win with the Town.
TNBinc - You are Major General George Henry Thomas, known as the “Rock of Chickamauga.” At the Battle of Chickamauga, you gathered your troops and stood your ground at Horseshoe Ridge to prevent a Union defeat from becoming a complete and utter defeat. Facing the onslaught of General Bragg’s troops, you were ordered to retreat per the orders of General Rosecrans, your superior, but you stayed to ensure the Army’s safe retreat. Later at the Battle of Chattanooga, your troops stormed the Confederate line at Missionary Ridge helping to consolidate the Western Frontier. For this reason, you are the 1x Bulletproof. You have a vest that will protect you from one bullet, and when hit, you will be notified. You win with the Town.
SupaDudz - You are Major General George B. McClellan. As a top General, you led the Yankees during the Peninsula Campaign in Southeastern Virginia with over 100,000 men but you still couldn’t capture Richmond. Always a man of caution, you were surprised to see General Jackson’s forces in the East which led you to estimate Confederate forces at around 200,000 - an overestimate by a mile. You were replaced by General Pope but eventually came back because of his loss at Second Bull Run. Because of your lack of aggression and abundance of caution in determining vital intelligence, you are the Detective. Each night you may visit another player. You will learn the role of that player. You win with the Town.
Speedrace - You are Lieutenant General Jubal Early, known as “Old Jubilee” to your troops. During the Civil War, you were pretty much everywhere ranging from Gettysburg in the North, to Shenandoah Valley, to the Seven Days Battles in Southeastern Virginia. Your reinforcements helped General Hill at Second Bull Run and General Jackson at Cedar Hill. The best command came at the Battle of Fredericksburg where your 9000 men defended Marye’s Heights against General Sedgewick’s four divisions. You never wanted to stop fighting and were known for your profanity. Thus, you are the Soldier. If at any point, you are the last surviving Town member, the Town wins. You win with the Town.
Oromagi - You are General Albert Sidney Johnston. A great friend to Confederate President Jefferson Davis, you were given command of the rebel forces in the Western Theater. After initial defeats at Fort Henry and Fort Donelson, you staged a surprise attack against the forces of General Grant before he could link up with reinforcements coming under General Buell. You succeeded in the surprise attack but were shot in the leg. Earlier you had sent your physician to help injured Confederates causing you to die by bleeding and your second in command General Beauregard calling off the attack with the arrival of General Buell at night. For this reason you are the Bleeder. If you were to be killed at night, your death is instead delayed until the end of the following Day Phase. If shot you will be notified. You win with the Town.
Greyparrot - You are Lieutenant General James Longstreet. At the Battle of Gettysburg, you gave the final order to launch Pickett’s Charge even after knowing it would fail. Prior to this, you had talked to General Lee, but he was adamant on the course of action and as a subordinate you were forced to obey. Your reputation suffered because you have the final order causing many leaders to lose faith in you even though you came up with a substantial victory at Chickamauga after being transferred to the Western Theater. For this reason you are the Hated Townie. You require one less vote than normal to be lynched. You win with the Town.
Croc - You are Major General John Magruder. Your actions protected the Confederate capital from the forces of General McClellan by predicting his movements in the Eastern Peninsula of Virginia. Furthermore you recaptured the Port of Galveston from the Confederates disrupting at least for a while the famous Anaconda Plan which sought to destroy the Southern Economy. As a commander, you had great insight and held onto your position until General Joe Johnston could come relieve. You saw a bunch of action from the two far points of the Confederacy. Thus you are the 1x Voyeur. Once in the game, you may target a player. You will learn what actions were performed on them but not who targeted them. You win with the Town.
MAFIA
MisterChris - You are Major General Joseph Hooker, known as “Fighting Joe.” As the commander of the Army of the Potomac at the Battle of Chancellorsville which was possibly the worst Union defeat throughout the war because of incompetent inferiors. Eventually however, your actions in the Western Theater with the XI and XII Corps of the Army of the Potomac helped General Grant tremendously. Unfortunately your actions were overshadowed by your friend William Tecumseh Sherman and eventually you were disgusted by the appointment of General Howard to command the Army of Tennessee even though you had seniority. Time and time you were prevented from what you wanted. Thus you are the Mafia Hooker. Each night you may visit another player. They will not be allowed to take any actions. You win with the Mafia.

Sadly your death was caused by friendly fire, but with you at Gettysburg, things may have been entirely different. Your presence was noticed from the defense of Washington D.C. to Fredericksburg to Chancellorsville. The themes as you all know in my games are very vague because I don’t believe in all that good vs evil. That being said the theme this game was also rather vague. It had to do with the III Corp in general from the Union Side and Confederate side along with the Battle of Chancellorsville. Joesph Hooker was a part of the III Corp and later was commander of it. Whipple was also a part of the III Corp and died at Chancellorsville while Joseph Hooker was the overall commander of the army. After the death of Thomas Jackson at Chancellorsville, the III Corp on the Confederate side was created by Robert E. Lee.
Now for my commentary. This game was pretty balanced in my opinion. Drafterman oversaw it. Mafia just made unforced errors because of inexperience and Lunatic was too lazy to lead 3 mislynches even though I think it would’ve been fairly easy for him to do so. The strongest thing I can stress to both That1User and MisterChris is patience. Carefully plan it out. Wait for approval from your scum teammates because you never know when you can overlook something. Even the smallest things you should always seek approval. Supa did a good job by selecting That1User and TNBinc for a noob did pretty well from my opinion with regards to activity. His thought processes are also developing which is good to see. Everyone else if you’d like commentaries with regards to your play just tag me and I’ll be happy to respond.

The thing distinguishing the mafia was the fact that the three had sort of a love triangle going on with Jessica liking Diego and Justin; the dudes were obviously jealous so they got into fights and stuff as well. Now for my personal analysis. This game was definitely balanced towards the town. No question about it. I apologize to the mafia team for making it so. My thought process was that 1 NK should be free hence the Ninja. Second should be lucky with the Actress used to lynch the person who has that role and the 3rd and 4th to be skill based because of the Lookout. To counter this I had a Virgin which in retrospect shouldn’t have been there. Tracker for Actress and Cop/Doctor. Roleblocker should’ve been 1 or 2 shot for balance in my opinion. Obviously I still have work to do on balancing so any advice or thoughts on how you would balance would be appreciated.
With that being said. Mafia could have won this game. Mafia was plagued with inactivity from Cookie and BearMan. If Croc was lynched DP1 then it would’ve been easier for scum. RM took some serious gambits. Some worked, some didn’t. There was no reason to NK Croc because he was going to be lynched sooner or later. A better option would’ve been Oro for example because he was a more experienced player. The NK on Simply also didn’t make sense to me. The whole point of an Actress is to get the person with the same role lynched. If you kill him then yes he’s dead but anyone who supports him lives. Even after this, someone could’ve claimed a 1x Vigilante on the Mafia side or something. The thought process was spearheaded by RM, but it was all over the place. Mafia need to have patience early on. Play safe until you need to gambit. A lot can happen in one night that ruins your plans. Town, save for User and Croc did a great job finding the rest of the mafia.
***On a side note. Normally I would’ve modkilled User for C/P but because of the fact that he had CCed RM would’ve essentially modconfirmed User and led to RM’s lynching. A 1 for 1 trade is harmful to mafia so I didn’t comment on the issue. I asked some people for advice and they agreed with my call on this issue, but id like to know yalls opinion as well

The thematical divide was members killed by Los Pepes and those that were not. That being said. Town play was horracious this game. From the onset with the two Millers. If you know anything about me, I’m a stickler for roles and CCs. At the very least one of DD and Lunatic should’ve been a policy, more likely Lunatic, not Virt. NP1, I have no clue why Grey refused to send a message to some. Anyone. Then comes DP2 where Supa decides that he doesn’t want to read his role and gets lynched because of that. NP2, Water decides to investigate a claimed Miller which is beyond stupid. DP3 was the brightest spot because of the VTNL. To DP4, if any town member bothered to read Water’s PM, he had a vigilante power as well. DP4 should’ve resulted in Drafterman being lynched. Zero excuses here. Mafia took some unnecessary risks as well with the Miller claim and Role Cop claim but they played their hand perfectly. Town play was atrocious. With that being said, I personally think the balance was really well made. Only thing that could be considered OP was the Ninja, but even then, a Cop and a Doctor were available. That being said, I’m still striving to learn, so any feedback would be much appreciated.
