It seems common sense to state that stress is something which is negative. After all, we tend to avoid stressful situations, and being under stress isn't something we naturally enjoy.

However, there are actually several ways in which the body can respond to stressful circumstances, and some of them might be surprisingly useful. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal posits the idea that if you feel challenged when stress takes hold, it can actually help you shift into a state wherein the body has increased blood-flow to both your muscles and brain. This, in turn, allows the brain to pay better attention to everything in your environment, which is better than the tunnel vision experienced in a fight or flight response. To be terse, you're basically smarter with a challenge response to stress.

So, in the future, don't become anxious when you see your sweat, and don't try to calm down when your heart beats faster. View your stress as a resources, see the stressful event as a challenge, and you will enter a state which is superior.

Supreme Court Allows Health Plans to Limit Dialysis Benefits
September 14, 2022, Report#: LSB10819
By Jennifer A. Staman, Legislative Attorney

"This past term, the Supreme Court issued a variety of impactful decisions in the health care arena, including some that affect coverage and reimbursement for health care services under federal programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid. Among these decisions is Marietta Memorial Hospital Employee Benefit Plan v. DaVita, a case about the intersection of Medicare and employment-based health benefits for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). In DaVita, the Court held that an employer-sponsored health plan could limit benefits for kidney dialysis services without running afoul of the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) statute, a provision designed to reduce Medicare spending by moving health care costs from the Medicare program to private payment sources. This Legal Sidebar provides background on the MSP statute, discusses the Court’s decision in DaVita, and concludes with selected legal considerations for Congress."

To avoid this being labelled a callout thread, I will specify that this is attacking an idea, not a certain individual who keeps using the idea.

The idea is exacerbated due to Covid targetting the obese harsher in its symptoms and lethality, similar to the elderly and those with lung and heart conditions (actually heart conditions and obesity are closely linked but can be independent).

In Japan, South Korea and many 'western' social democracies today, you will notice something extremely shocking when you compare it with the general people's body proportions in a nation like the US or the upper class in less developed nations; there are becoming less 'fat' people amongst the wealthy in these nations.

Why is that? It is perhaps, if extremely cynical, to do with campaigns and policies of 'taxing sugar' etc that certain governments carried out over recent years to help (according to skeptics who propose this idea) to reduce costs on the socialised or partially-socialised healthcare. If that's true, why don't proponents of this idea support the US doing that then?

As in, why don't proponents of the idea that obese people would drain the economy too much if healthcare were socialised, instead support information programs and policies on fast food (the same meal name in Europe is around only 60% as unhealthy as the same meal in the US, I am not exaggerating, this is due to strict EU policy regarding 'how unhealthy a single meal can be' in Europe which is a law that simply doesn't even exist in US), Japan and South Korea also healthier but that is more cultural (if it was purely oily and greasy fast food there, they'd not visit it much as they have much healthier 'fast food' outlets, focused on strips of meat and/or fish with decent amount of vegetables and only easy-to-digest starch formats like rice, etc).

If you would observe what a culture can do if it begins to positively (not negatively or abusively) pressure the obese to make healthier life decisions, as one whole society (rather than individuals teasing and having spite for one another) you would see a much more exponential transition towards a healthier populace. You can call it Orwellian, even I was not a fan of the sugar tax (I love sugary treats now and again and am a slim guy myself) but ultimately it's about the 'greater good'.

If more people end up less draining on society and happier+healthier, these policies can be optimal for the society. It's all based around that metric. Stop screaming 'freedom' and then going 'oh no not everyone uses their freedom so wisely'. You don't matter enough on your own for your 'good life decisions' to outweigh the bad ones others can/will make without guidelines and restrictions. You're not the only citizen of your nation.

Crystals that when worn help with diseases like blood pressure control.liver problems heart failure etc. There has been no study that disproves it or proves it that i know of. I sure there are study's that say it does not work. While others that say it does work. Lore wise the reason why these rocks can heal cancer and stuff is because they have magical powers.I am considering this because There are health benefits in plants. Eating grass  can help with brain function and detoxify the liver. That's the same thing if a rock can cure cancer.

According to a 2003 animal study, lemongrass may help in cleansing and flushing harmful toxic wastes from the body, as a result of its diuretic properties. Detoxification helps in the regulation of various organs of the body, including the liver
Citral is a powerful antioxidant and cancer-fighting agent that detoxifies and aids in brain function.

Every culture on the planet said that god put medicine in plants magically. Science has confirmed that plants heal us. The logical reason why there are medical properties in plants is   God put it in there magically.

saying a bunch of grass

can do this

Studies have proven that lemongrass can improve digestion, lower cholesterol and reduce stress. It also helps to cure infections, boost immunity and improve brain function.
Is the same as saying wearing crystals can cure cancer

Since it is true though that grass can help with the stuff above. Then how did it come to be that way. I am putting my money on God. Its the only reason that makes sence

if plants do this could not rocks do the same???? any thoughts

Whenever I heard someone bloviate about the power of positive thinking, that "just being happy" was all that you needed, I rolled my eyes and thought 'here we go, another instance of mindless platitudes making people think they know the deeper mechanics of human psychology'.

However, there appears to be sufficient research to suggest that merely being optimistic, even when there is no reason to be, should be encouraged in life, as this article reads:

"The study found that women who were optimistic had a significantly reduced risk of dying from several major causes of death — including cancer, heart disease, stroke, respiratory disease, and infection — over an eight-year period, compared with women who were less optimistic."

...

"The most optimistic women (the top quartile) had a nearly 30 percent lower risk of dying from any of the diseases analyzed in the study compared with the least optimistic (the bottom quartile), the study found. The most optimistic women had a 16 percent lower risk of dying from cancer; 38 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease; 39 percent lower risk of dying from stroke; 38 percent lower risk of dying from respiratory disease; and 52 percent lower risk of dying from infection."

It is conceivable that the optimistic women are the ones who are not experiencing life's hardships, hence why they are optimistic. It is also possible that this is a matter of correlation, rather than any significant causation.

Nonetheless, it is nothing short of fascinating that being a mindless, smiling drone, unable to ponder the complex, often terrifying facets of life, has a better chance of survival than a well-educated realist.

MY THEORY

I have this theory. I believe the brain reroutes power to other sections of the brain when part of the brain is broken. For example

  • talking part of brain 20 Volts of power.
  • learning part of brain 20 Volts of power
  • critical thinking part of brain 20 Volts of power
  • mathematical part of brain 20 g of power

This is an average brain. But lets say someone gets beat up and there talking part of the brain is not working. I believe that the power that was being used for the talking part of the brain would get rerouted to other parts of the brain that are working.  Because talking part does not work.

SO now the brain would look like this after the power from the broken talking part is rerouted

  • Talking part of the brain 0 power
  • learning part of the brain 25 power
  • critical thinking part of the brain 25
  • mathematical part of the brain 30

Now that is my theory on why we have socially weird geniuses.

It would explain stuff like this

..."An Israeli Company Is Combining Mushrooms with Marijuana to Treat Illnesses"...

..."So far, it seems like Cannabotech is looking to stick to non-psychedelic mushrooms for its cannabis blends, but a growing body of research is proving that psilocybin can be as effective a medicine as medical marijuana.

...Recent studies have found that psilocybin can help patients overcome treatment-resistant depression, alcoholism, or anxiety, and current trials are exploring how this psychedelic fungi can treat anorexia or even snap patients out of comas. The US Food and Drug Administration is now conducting clinical trials that could lead to the legalization of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy within the next few years."..

Reishi mushrooms has been shown to lengthen your lifespan when consumed.

In  ancient times those seeking immortality used to eat these mushrooms. Is there a connection. It seems they knew that it lengthens lifespan because people who sought immortality ate the herb. Its funny how i am the only one who seems to care about the importance of herbs and plants. People use to mistake the medicine god put in plants as magic. But in reality these mushrooms are not magic. The health benefits God put in plants is just mistaken for magic. That is how significant this is.Gods wonderful medicine is so great it is thought to be magic. 70 percent of modern medicine in drugs is derived from plants

lol people thought gods medicine that lengthens lifespan. was a magical mushroom that made you immortal

I remember reading an article wear a bunch of ancient kings  believe ginseng increased wisdom.

Here is 8 wonderful thing ginseng does to your brain. People literally though gods medicine was a smart drug that increases IQ points. like in the movie Lucy. the stupid movie where they created a smart drug. this is a smart drug but created by god

turmeric reverses damage done by schizophrenic medication. So threatening that big pharma has started a campaign against the herb to discredit it. It just so happens to be worth more than gold in the days of Jesus. Your brain literally changes when you eat turmeric. Gods medicine so wonderful.Big pharma want to destroy your health

Ty Bollinger: Wow! That’s very interesting. Now one of the things that I heard you say earlier in your lecture was that the gold, frankincense, and myrrh in the Bible… the gold could have been turmeric?

Dr. Sunil Pai: Yes. From what we’re looking at historically the gold may be referenced as turmeric. Turmeric or curcumin specifically − the part of the turmeric. Turmeric was sold and cost more than gold at the time.

Remember it was the curcumin that was worth more then gold and it is the curcumin antioxidant that reverses damage done by schizophrenic medication. People believe that the gold the wise men gave to Jesus was actually tumeric
Additionally, turmeric’s antioxidants have been found to reverse the effects of damage caused by pharmaceuticals, particularly in the treatment of schizophrenia. Commonly-prescribed antipsychotics often cause involuntary muscle movements and severe behavioral changes. One study found that when treated with curcumin, the effects of the motor disorder tardive dyskinesia were reversed (3).

big pharma is so evil
Horny goat weed.

Like all legends, the story may contain a grain of truth.
Goatherds noted that their animals were much more sexually active after consuming these plants. The goatherds then tried consuming the herb themselves and evidently, the herb has been used ever since to improve sexual performance in both men and women.
There is some truth to this horny goat weeds effects are not magical. it is just god medicine being mistaken for magic. But it is absolute fact that horny goat weed helps you in those areas.

helps with ed

helps with premature ej

boost testosterone

helps with female stuff

herbs today have the same problem as the fish in the sea. From supposed pollution there is a lot of lead and mercury in plants nowadays. just like how tuna has mercury. Most fruits and vegetables and herbs have lead and mercury. be careful

for most places (if not all) medication samples are a thing of the past.  it's good and bad like most things.  they often were given to people who couldn't afford them or had high co-pays.  I like the idea of try it before you buy it, but since nothing was free they calculated the cost of the samples in what was actually sold.  did stopping the samples decrease the medication costs?  I doubt it.  I don't believe it had any real effect on what was prescribed either, not in my experience anyway.
was stopping the samples have more positives and negatives?

His cure is relatively simple, or at least relatively simple to acquire – all the ingredients are available in pharmacies, or online.
To prevent the hangover, Bishop-Stall will quaff – after drinking but before sleep – milk thistle, for the liver; the amino acid and immune system aid N-acetylcysteine; vitamins B1, B6 and B12, which boost metabolism; and that famous gift to Jesus, frankincense – an anti-inflammatory.
So no more sickness, no more pain. No more bothering doctors. But one thing Bishop-Stall still hasn’t managed to crack is “the tiredness, lethargy and grouchiness” that has more to do with a lack of deep sleep than the booze itself.

Peeing with a boner is more difficult than giving birth. Giving birth is definitely more painful, but pain by itself does not make something difficult. For example, putting my hand in a fire is not difficult, but it would hurt a lot. In order for something to be difficult, there has to be some chance of failure due to lack of skill, practice, or technique. Peeing with a boner often requires creative problem solving skills, especially in small spaces. There is no creative problem solving aspect of giving birth. Additionally, the way humans have evolved for these two actions supports my point. Giving birth is a natural process, which humans have evolved to be able to do. The female body is literally designed so that it can give birth with the lowest possible chance of error. The only real error that can happen is a miscarriage, which is also a natural occurrence, not a failure that occurs due to a lack of skill in giving birth. The male body, on the other hand, has evolved specifically so that peeing with a boner is very difficult. The only purpose for having a boner is to impregnate a woman, so the male body evolved to prevent urination during sex. On top of the difficulty in simply getting the pee to flow, there's the issue of actually positioning yourself so that the boner is pointing into the toilet bowl (urinals are much easier, but not always an option). In the past, I have had to give up and wait until my boner goes away because it was simply too difficult to actually pee in the toilet. There has never been a case where a woman has tried to give birth after being pregnant for nine months, not been able to do it, and said "fuck it" and waited 3 more months to try again because it would be easier the second try. Giving birth happens, every single time, because it's a natural process - peeing with a boner is the  opposite.

In conclusion, peeing with a boner is hard.

I hear:

- By the time you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated; thirst isn't a reliable indicator of dehydration.
- You need eight glasses of water a day. (Though this is supposed to include the water in your food.)
- If your urine is dark it means you're dehydrated.

These were things my high school nurse and health teacher told me.

I now hear people saying they're rumors spread by Big Sports Drink. So how much truth do they have to them?

"Fruits build our immunity
Fruits can nurse us back to health
Fruits keep our weight in check
Fruits perk up body's energy level"

"Health Benefits of Fruit
Eating Fruit Provides Health Benefits"

"The only factor that seemed to predict which species had larger brains was whether their diets were primarily leaves or fruit"
"Primates that eat leaves have to lie around for hours, with all their energy going toward digestion. Eating fruit, on the other hand, offers an animal a jolt of calories in an easy-to-digest package. In primates, the main beneficiary of all that newly available energy is the brain."

Is man an omnivore or is he a frugivore/vegetarian?

Is it possible man is a frugivore and not an omnivore or carnivore? for the sake of argument lets say "vegetarian" which would include frugivores and raw foodists as well. Now, to answer that question first think back before the time when man began to cook its food over fires, and was forced to look for alternative foods like killing animals to survive. If you take a close examination of a carnivores/meat eaters anatomy you see quite clearly that it is designed to quickly eliminate meat products and therefore less worry of putrefaction. Did you know meat eaters, true carnivores sleep many hours of a days period? Big cats can sleep up to 20 hours out of a 24 hour period.
A cats anatomy is equipped to kill, and tolerate a high protein diet but they pay a price for that diet too, forcing them, to digest and sleep many hours out of a day even with a digestive system meant to handle it.On the other end of the spectrum look at the energy and stamina and power of apes, horses, elephants, gorillas and vegetarian frugivore species. Look at the intelligence levels in primates, they are primarily frugivores and vegetarian eaters. They are all also very active, way more than true carnivores, keeping in ind bears account for omnivores not carnivores. Actually a bears diet is high in berries first, then vegetation and then meat lastly unless its the grizzlies before hibernation of course to put on fat layer. Take a look at this chart below...
https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pVwGffIYzsk/WGPbPxUVPzI/AAAAAAAAG8E/aBUglNY3inwfddJjVk9uYLj_ZoK2AeojwCLcB/s1600/Claudia+Sutton+-+Humans+Are+Frugivores+Comparative+Anatomy+-+Carnivore+Omnivore+Herbivore+Frugivore.jpg

Fruits are also associated with brain size and intelligence, if you look at the delicacy of a humans form they are meant to "pick and eat", not attack and kill and eat flesh. Humans also flourish on raw fruit and vegetarian diets rather than meat and starch based diets. Islander diet- "Islander foods are nutrient-dense, the meals are prepared in healthy ways and oils are used sparingly. The high-fibre, low-fat nature of these diets reduces the risk of heart disease, hypertension, stroke, diabetes, obesity and certain forms of cancer."Raw Food diet-"Raw foodism (or following a raw food diet) is the dietary practice of eating only uncooked, unprocessed foods. Depending on the exact philosophy or type of lifestyle and results desired, raw food diets may include a selection of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs, fish, meat and dairy products."We know man had to adapt to harsher climates and is considered an "omnivore" that's not the question, what do you think man is more suited for naturally and health wise? keeping in mind most human meat eaters aren't just consuming a little piece of dead meat here and there, most meat eaters eat meat three times a day perhaps more.
