It's many fold. I think they are trying to be all woke bc kids started vaping, so they are def. trying to scare people. If anyone used a little common sense, you'd realize that this has to be something new, at the very least. Since vaping THC is relatively new, i'd start there. But even there, people have been doing it, and this is a sudden thing... so, the main culprit in my opinion is illegal or off the street THC pens. Bc dealers will try to dilute it or make it themselves to sell... you don't know what you're getting.
People have been vaping e-cigs at least 10 years now without a problem. Sure, it take time to see effects but most of these cases are teens or young adults. With a little bit of critical thinking, one should start with the illegal street stuff, especially THC products. Apart from that... the media is trying to scare people... is that big tobaccos fault or that they're salty teens are vaping... maybe a little of both.
Vaping bad
At the end of the day, tobacco is tobacco, no matter what you do it's bad

@billbatard
I am very knowledgeable about the topic of vaping and what it is and I have analyzed all cases.
The deaths/sickness have been related to overusage of nicotene and the inhaling of THC pens that have no been fully FDA approved yet.
E-cigarettes (juul, stig, etc.) are the issue people are concerned with. Vaping is harmless. Vapor consists of nicotene, 2 harmless preservatives, and water vapor. All healthy. Nicotene is an ADDICTION drug. it is only bad when you mix it with chemicals and other bad things... E Cigarettes are the relatively worse ones
Let me also say on the matter, the people who died/sick, smoked one and a half pods in a day (equivalent to a pack of cigarettes). This is an UNHEALTHY way of life to live. If you ever try it, moderation is key. Set limits. If a pod drains in 1 day, you overused it
Also--->all cases were linked to THC. E-Cigs and vapes do not contain THC, which means someone hit a THC pen.
I'm not vouching for vaping, but the media is exaggerating its effect. If you moderately pace yourself and be safe, you will be fine. I can talk from research, irl encounters, and etc

@Outplayz
Most vapes/e-cigs do not contain THC
-->
@Dr.Franklin
There is no tobacco in vapes/e-cigs. They sell tobacco flavored pods, but they use tobacco extract, which is different from tobacco itself
-->
@Vader
I agree, but it's a bad habit and habits shape you're character, character shapes you're destiny.........Remember that
-->
@Vader
Then what is it?
-->
@Dr.Franklin
It is not a bad habit, nor is it a good habit either. And that statement is simply not true for vaping. I know people who are heavy vapers that are some of my closest friends. They don't pressure me to do anything and let me live my life.I agree, but it's a bad habit and habits shape you're character, character shapes you're destiny.........Remember that
Then what is it?
Electronic cigarettes have the same feelings as a cigarette smoking, but it does not use tobacco and uses flavoring and nicotine to make their pods.
You can debate the chemicals inside e-cigs are bad, that is a whole different convo, but saying it contains tobacco is simply a fallacy
-->
@Vader
Yes it is a bad habit, Vaping is addictive and will drive you crazy, it's better to let off of it
What chemicals?
Yes it is a bad habit, Vaping is addictive and will drive you crazy, it's better to let off of it
Smoking e-cigarettes is a bad habit. It is only addictive once you make it addictive. It is not a good habit, but it is not evilly bad
What chemicals?
Honest answer, idk

@Vader
I never said they did. "Vaping" encompasses all products used to vape. I am almost positive this "lung issue" that randomly just happens to pop up now is either THC vape pens sold on the black market or some other black market product. They already found that 85% of them used THC vape pens... i bet the rest of the percentage likely withheld that info... i would put my bet on this being illegal products sold on the black market... namely, THC products.Most vapes/e-cigs do not contain THC
-->
@Outplayz
Agreed. All of these cases were linked to excessive vaping + THC vapors
-->
@Vader
It doesn't say anything about excessive vaping as far as i've seen... and since i vape - ecigs - i'm following this really closely. Bottom line, it's worrisome since i'm puffing this stuff.. but i buy from a reputable dealer from reputable vape juice companies. I'm okay paying extra for good stuff. I vape everyday... actually, any serious vaper that went from cigs to vaping "excessively" vapes... no problem for the last ten years in that regard. I've only heard good things from people, including myself, that switched. So... i do not think this has to to with anything other than a product that was either tainted or people trying to dilute THC to sell more of it on the black market. Yet... the news is using it to scare people... Yet... a REPUBLICAN president just asked the FDA to ban flavored juices... e-cig companies don't have large lobbies... big tobacco does... and people only read headlines and are ignorant. If this crap passes... imma be pissed. People didn't learn anything from reefer madness, it's sad.linked to excessive vaping
-->
@Vader
I just noticed the "+" THC ... even that i'm not sure... these cases seem to be acute. But you could be right. It can be chronic smoking of black market THC pens.excessive vaping + THC vapors
-->
@Outplayz
Yes. The case I studied was this
The person smoke one and 1/2 juul pod that day and normally
He then had a rip of a THC pen
It was a excessive vaping + THC.
If you smoke a pack a day, usually nothing happens. When you add THC from pens that are not store bought or second hand sell, you have a chance of it happening
-->
@Vader
When you add THC from pens that are not store bought or second hand sell
I think this is the most important fact in all these. But if you remember, show me where you read that. I've never smoked Juul products so i'm not too worried... but i'm curious how they spun those into it. That's the misinformation that's really getting on my nerves.
Vaping is more ridiculous than smoking.
what do you think about banning flavors? its seems silly nicotine is still legal, a few years back someone put cafiene and alcohol in the same drink and some college kids died, from being wide awake when they reach alcohol toxicity. they banned the drink, booze still legal cafeine still legal i will have a rum and coke still legal
-->
@Outplayz
The man that was extremely sick smoked a pod and 1/2 of juul pods a day and he got sick after doing 1 1/2 pods and a THC pen
-->
@billbatard
Extremely stupid
Nicotene doesn't people. People abuse it and they get killed
-->
@billbatard
Why would a socialist worry about government control?
52 days later
Smoking is honestly a really shit habit. I am so fucking happy to see the world finally having a generation of teens and young adults that think it's a bad thing and not cool at all.
You're a douchebag if you vape, and good luck getting popcorn lungs and dying at 25 years old
cigars better, change my mind
-->
@Wylted
THC Vapes are atrociously shit and will kill you once you get hooked. If you ever wan't to do marijuana, you do it from the plant itself
-->
@Vader
Fiance brought back some edibles from vegas. Now I never take marijuana but was bored and was like fuck it. Dude this was not like the highs I experienced at 16. An hour took like 5 hours to pass, I was paranoid as fuck and could see objects fall in slow motion to the ground. Apparently it is better to take one edible than to eat the shit like candy. Lesson learned
-->
@Wylted
No shit what the fuck were u thinking I knew that at 16 and I don't even smoke
