DOGE is about revenge and disruption, Trump blathering about a balanced budget is just a distraction/

The Republican Congress has approved Trump's budget that calls for raising the debt limit by 4 trillion dollars and $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for the rich.

He and his mentor Musk are fleecing the working class so they can put trillions in the pockets of his ruling Oligarchs.

No wonder he said he loves the poorly educated, MAGA is stupid enough to believe his long con.

Just last week Trump fired the heads of TSA and recklessly gutted the Aviation Safety Advisory, typically, Trump is tampering with aviation matters he doesn’t understand.

Within days of taking office, Trump immediately fired the heads of the TSA and fired every committee member of the federal Aviation Security Advisory Committee, with no thought of the consequences.  The Trump administration could provide no reason for the dismissal of the committee, other than to issue the customary response that "the committee didn’t align with Trump’s agenda".  At the time of the plane crash, the FAA was also without a chief because Michael Whitaker resigned because Trump's handler, Elon Musk had attacked Whitaker and demanded his resignation. Instead of prioritizing a replacement for Whitaker, Trump focused on gutting advisory committees and firing TSA heads as the FAA struggled with dangerous staff shortages.

After last night's tragic airplane accident, Trump blamed DEI.

First, it's a violation of the Constitution because the power to spend is in the hands of Congress, not the Executive branch

Second, does this mean his supporters won't get their food stamps this month?

They didn't even try to pretend that it was a "campaign" rally, they weren't going for votes, they were inciting people with violent and vulgar rhetoric, identifying the enemy and increasing anger and outrage. it had nothing to do with getting them to vote, it was preparing people to do something else, something by force.

It was not a campaign rally, it was not an effort to win an election, it was something else completely, and it will be violent.

In the end they'll lose, they always lose, it's who they are, losers, but it will be ugly.

Mental health professionals have been issuing these warnings about Trump for years, and he's clearly deteriorating fast, it's pathetic.

I'd like to see them analyze what is wrong with Trump's supporters.

Why do they worship him?  It's got to be a deep pathology of some kind.

They accuse anyone that doesn't worship him as suffering from TDS.

Trumpism is clearly a mental illness of some sort.

All you need to do is read their rants on here to know that they are whack job delusional.

Buy the book, praise the lord.

During the presidency of President Donald Trump, it became evident to me that the prophecies about the Son of Man, as predicted by Jesus in the Bible were, to a significant extent, fulfilled at the hands of Mr Trump. The Bible speaks about two different Christs-or Messiahs. Jesus, the Son of God is the one Christ, whereas the Son of Man is the other. Jesus always referred to the Son of Man in the third person. The greatest distinction or significance between the Son of Man and the Son of God (the Lamb) is their respective positions at the throne of God. There are numerous differences between the Son of God and the Son of Man, but overall, people read these scriptures and they do not realize that the Son of God (the Lamb) stands in front of the throne of God, whereas the Son of Man, is positioned on the right hand of God. Jesus spoke about two different killings in the four gospels of the New Testament. People read these scriptures and are unaware that Jesus (the Son of God) predicted his own killing in the first person, as opposed to the several prophecies that He made in respects to the Son of Man who will be crucified. The New Testament speaks about "two Kings;" Jesus, the Son of God, is the "King of the Jews," whereas the Son of Man is the "King of Kings" who will be a world-ruler, and He will rule all the nations (the tribes) of the earth with a rod of iron. This book will explain in depth how "Donald John Trump's" full name literally means: "The Ruler of the World, graced by Yahweh (the LORD) and a descendant of a Drummer." Upon reading this book, the reader will be captivated when they realize how President Donald John Trump fulfilled most of the prophecies as the Son of Man. It speaks about End Time Prophecies and Biblical revelations regarding "President Donald J. Trump, the Son of Man. The Christ."

Trump’s interview with the National Association of BlackJournalists was a disaster, he openly demonstrated that he is astoundinglyracist, utterly unhinged, and completely unfit for public service.

It’s clearthat Trump’s advanced age, dementia, and rapidly deteriorating physical andmental health have rendered him unable to continue, to avoid furtherembarrassment, and for the sake of America, he should drop out.

It is time for JD Vance to demand that Trump be replaced atthe top of the ticket.

Don't believe the fake news, don't believe the lies, don't let the deep state control you, the real truth will set you free.

Thomas Matthew Crooks is a true patriot and a great American hero; he gave his life defending his country.

He was just exercising his first amendment right to free speech, it was a peaceful protest, and they killed him so the truth would not get out.

There will be statues in the town squares, monuments in Washington DC, and his birthday will be a national holiday.

If you don't believe me, just ask yourself this question, what was Ted Cruz doing on the grassy knoll that day.

The truth is right there in front of you, you just have to look, and you will see it.

Australia doesn’t really exist, it was the name of a fictional continent invented by Plato, but it was allegorical, an imagined country that had unbridled growth until it engulfed an entire continent.   The giant sharks, giant pythons, spiders, huge flies, poisonous centipedes, wallabies, flying foxes, dingoes, giant crocodiles, it was all just a metaphor for the horrors of a big government growing out of control.

Despite its completely metaphorical nature in Plato’s work, it has maintained itself in the public imagination for centuries, having considerable impact on literature, art, music, and especially film makers and Internet tricksters.  Because of this, many people have come to believe it is a real place, but that is only due to the tendency for gullible people to literalize legends, metaphor, and myth, causing them to engage in pseudoscientific speculation and fantasy. If you investigate it seriously, you find that nobody is really from Australia, but many people claim to “know a guy” or “have a friend” that either visited or lived there, but nobody has actually been there themselves. Over the years it’s become one of the most popular forms of modern folklore, having its existence in urban legends, wives tales, and “put ons” for gullible people’s benefit, much like the legendary Snipe, Jackalope, and Big Foot. Today the so called “existence” of Australia is all in good fun and most people are glad to “play along” with a nod and a wink.

Trump's latest campaign ad features his humble nature:

So, what do you think, can we put the blame on God?

Evangelical Christians are the target audience, don't they also think God made Hitler?

If they think God made Trump, do they also think God made Biden President?

I wasn't sure if this post should go in the "Politics" forum or the "Religion" forum.  untill they come up with a "Fucked Up Shit" forum I guess it should go in "Politics".

I suppose "Politics" and "Fucked Up Shit" forums would be redundant anyway.

"When a man unprincipled in private life, desperate in his fortune, bold in his temper, (possessed of considerable talents, having the advantage of military habits), despotic in his ordinary demeanor, known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty, when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity, to join in the cry of danger to liberty, to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion, to flatter and fall in with all the nonsense of the zealots of the day, It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may ‘ride the storm and direct the whirlwind"  - Alexander Hamilton (in a letter to George Washington in 1792)

It seems the far right has seized on the word “woke” as asymbol of everything they don’t like, the way it is used it appears to be anumbrella term designating the “them” of their “us/them” thinking.  “Florida is where woke goes to die”, wtf doesthat even mean?

Those of you who talk about how terrible "woke" is,please clarify, how do you define “woke”, explicitly, what does “woke” mean to you?

We all know tonight is the Superbowl, one of the most televised events in the world, kick off is 6:30, so arounf 6:25 the National Anthem will be televised to well over a hundred million people.

Consider what could happen, and the terrible risk we are taking.

If a white football player takes a knee during the National Anthem tonight, meh....but what if a black plyaer does so?  OMG, the horror, the horror.

Fox news would erupt like a volcano spewing racism lava throughout the world and covering the major cities with conspiracy theory ash, Republicans would spontaneously combust, and the remaining people would choose to be gay and start destroying gas stoves and Doctor Seuss books, children would all start playing with Mr. Transvestite Potatohead, and soon, mankind would die out in a blaze of tolerance.

For the future of civilization, let's all pray that tonight we can make it through the National Anthem without incident,  our lives depend on it.

The Republican House went from hating Nancy Pelosi to getting the majority, and then hating Kevin McCrathy. He had to cut so many deals to get elected, going forward he has to get Matt Gaetz seventeen year old girls, and make Marjorie Taylor Greene's tin foil hats, and most critically, he agreed to a rule change that says any congressman can call for a no-confidence referendum if they don’t like how he’s doing his job.

So, how long do you think he will last, I think there's no way he makes it past 6 Scaramuccis.

Trump dials up the hate, during a time of increasing political violence he invites violence on Mitch McConnel and his wife.  At the same time this racist, insurrectionist, defamation machine that can hardly speak without flinging defamatory remarks at anyone who opposes him, hypocritically sues CNN for using word like “racist” and “insurrectionist” to refer to him.

Is this dangerous lunatic simply desperate for attention or what? I expect that next he will go after Desantis for stealing his spotlight.
He bragged that his base thinks murder is OK, and to them five dead is a peaceful protest, if one of his many crazies kills McConnel, should he be held accountable?

Trump's violent rhetoric conjures chilling echoes as midterms loom | CNN Politics
The former President dialed up the hate another notch last week with a social media post that accused Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, with whom he has a strained relationship, of having a “death wish” and flung racism at his wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao. In another escalation, Trump recently slammed FBI agents as “vicious monsters” over the lawful search of his Florida home.

Anyone who has tried to have a rational conversation with a Trump supporter recognizes that the problem with the obdurate and dogmatic closed mindedness of Trump supporters is that everything is one dimensional, there's no depth, nothing at all below a surface level understanding. Allow me to try to explain this phenomenon in the context of the evolutionary approach of science.

Paul MacLean’s "triune brain" thought process posits three distinct groupings of the human brain’s various autonomous structures that from an evolutionary point of view developed sequentially in time, and is roughly associated with the emergence of reptiles, mammals, and humans.  The brain structures that evolved over time on the way to making a human brain are the “R-Complex” or reptilian brain, the limbic system or “paleomammalian complex”, and the neocortex or “neomammalian complex”. As we evolved each sequential brain development necessarily built upon and was added to the preceding structures and result in the general behavioral characteristics typical of the reptiles, mammals, and primates that sequentially emerged and have the added new brain complex in addition to the ones that had previously evolved. MacLean’s central idea is that human thought is a complex interplay of separate behaviors characteristic of our evolutionary development that developed sequentially as these brain groupings were added, this model allows us to learn more about human behavior by examining and relating the behavior of the associated three classes of animals.

Anatomical brain research, particularly changes observed after selective damage to cortical regions and brain mapping techniques, have since demonstrated a strong correlation between the behavior described and the brain structures described in the model. While MacLean’s model is not perfect, a great deal of understanding resulted and to this day, most brain researchers think along these lines.  The brain did evolve in an additive way and specific types of behavior did emerge sequentially, and there is clearly a spectrum of behavior that ranges from the lowest level reptilian “brain”, strongly associated with the ritualistic displays, territoriality, and aggression of reptiles, to the last general brain structure to evolve, the prefrontal cortex which exploded in size during hominid evolution and in a fully developed form, is considered to be what makes us human.  The prefrontal cortex is associated with planning, complex problem solving, regulation of emotion, and spirituality.

The aforementioned obdurate and dogmatic closed mindedness of Trump supporters is a comprehension problem that stems from an "R-Complex" (lizard brain) dominance, which is behaviorally characterized by stereotypically reptilian ritualistic displays and the typical instincts of dominance, territoriality, and aggression associated with Reptilia class conduct. R-Complex dominance results in a limitation to the range of logical or rational responses as reptile typical automatic and irrational behavioral responses supersede the higher level processes of logical thought and rational behavior.  The ability for abstract thought is compromised, and the individual becomes trapped in a surface level understanding, making it difficult or impossible to comprehend symbolism, metaphor, and meaning. The reason such close minded individuals are so dogmatic is that the irrational reptilian instinct of territoriality becomes attached to ideas and opinions which are then aggressively defended as a matter of self-preservation.  The associated constant and illogical repetition of dogmatic assertions is the reptilian phenomena of ritualism making an irrational attempt to socially delineate a hierarchical position of territorial dominance in the realm of ideas and opinions.

In R-complex dominance reptilian behaviors are amplified and the emotional and thinking brains are down-regulated, so for instance, attempts at logical, rational, and socially acceptable interaction trigger reptilian territoriality and aggression and ritualistic displays instead of logical consideration of the other person’s point of view followed by a reasoned response. The R-Complex dominance will desensitize limbic system characteristics such as altruistic behavior and the capacity for intellectual empathy are subordinated to the reptilian instinctual behaviors of aggression and territoriality, and the mammalian functions that allow an individual to distinguish between what is socially acceptable or unacceptable is compromised as the individual becomes desensitized to other people’s thoughts and ideas in favor of repetitive ritualistic displays and the species typical reptilian behaviors of aggression and territoriality.  Social ineptness can result in societal isolation and an associated resentment because the reptilian lack of abstract reasoning and the related reptilian inability to comprehend or respect the affective states of others downgrades logical thought and results in a reptile typical and completely territorial attack approach to discussing other people’s ideas.

I think it’s common for young children to see the Bible as a story book and to have a childish understanding of God as an invisible man in the sky that grants wishes to those who pray.  Of course, as children age and mature their conception of God and their understanding of faith develops and matures beyond such childish ways of understanding things.

But apparently, that isn’t always the case. There seems to be a group of very vocal Atheists whose conception of God and faith did not mature as they got older and who spend a lot of time ranting about how much more intelligent, rational, and mature they are than people of faith because they now reject this childish idea of God. They apparently don’t understand that no adult Theist believes in the God they don’t believe in and yet, they really seem thrilled with themselves for their intellectual achievement  It just seems that they are using the faith discussion to brag about how they are all grown up now and so they don’t believe in the invisible man in the sky anymore, and when I read those posts I can’t help but recall the image of a little child I saw on vacation a few years back who was clinging to the wall of the hotel pool kicking his legs and yelling “Mommy, mommy, look at me, I’m swimming in the deep end just like a grown up”.

I’m sorry, but this type of Atheism just doesn’t appear to be all that grown up to me, and clinging to such childish ideas about God and faith isn’t what I’d call “deep”.

What do you think, does this explain a lot of the behavior we see on these boards?
