Before modern medicine women alone determine whether or not their pregnancy went to full-term.  And then modern medicine stepped in to make it more efficient. Because of that women have been subjugated to second class when deciding what happens with their bodies and their pregnancy. With things like the morning after pill and the abortion pill eventually these things will be done in the home privately without any need to leave the house or go to a doctor. What a glorious day that will be.

As someone who's worked in the criminal justice system for 22 years there most certainly is institutional racism within the criminal justice system. You can't have racist in the system and not have a racist system. Criminal justice covers police officers, probation officers, parole officers, judges,prosecutors, defense attorneys and any system or service that a criminal will come into for. So now you're looking at rehabs, day programs, halfway houses things of that nature. A lot of those systems work on certain areas of town or bad, the names of certain families are bad, the police often work on there's no such thing as rehab or rehabilitation and will target people and considering that whites have been in position to hold these jobs over the years African Americans are targeted. And that doesn't even address the problems of these systems protecting their own when they screw up to protect their image so now you have a system where if you don't want racism or problems you still cover those up because you don't want to look bad.

Here's a prime example of s***** moderation. At least three people on this page should be told to knock their crap off and nobody will. It's why this forum's a joke.

I don't know why we even address changing these rules every now and then because when it comes down to it this debate site at its core is liberals versus conservatives. Don't believe me read every single post in this thread. It's why certain people are allowed to talk all they want to and certain people get banned on a regular basis. The religion forum is a great example. It's supposed to be about religion but almost every post ends up being liberal versus conservative. An absolutely nothing is done about it because as long as the mods agree politically with someone the other person is always going to be the loser or banned. 

People seem to find the pagan gods without anybody intervening pretty easy. Wonder what Jesus problem is that he can't get people to come to him on his own.

The atheist personality demands that they be as different from everyone else as possible. Therefore their views beliefs and actions are often as counter to what might be considered the norm. There are more theist than atheists so therefore they are anti-theists it's just the way it works with them. As far as why do people get bent out of shape if I walked into your house and I told you I hated the color of your walls, I hated your curtains, your floor pattern that you picked out looks like you're probably mentally ill and you're obviously too stupid to buy furniture you would be upset too. They insult one of the very core parts of our being and something that's important to us on a daily basis and the fact that you can't figure that out makes me wonder exactly how your life works if nothing in your life is important enough to you you can understand the concept.

I'm sure part of the problem too is I was in the hospital for viral meningitis and basically the whole week and a half is gone can't tell you anything that happened from the time I got out of the ambulance until they shocked me and I woke up on the table. I still have lots of memory issues from it and it's been 15 years.

When the hospital overdosed me on fentanyl and I had to be revived I have no recall of what happened in that time. That said when I woke up from having been shocked back and I looked around the room because my entire family had been called in because they we're not sure I could be revived. As soon as I looked at the pastor and his wife the first thing that went through my head was they'll be very upset when they find out I don't believe in god anymore. From that point on I transition from Christian to nothing to witchcraft to paganism. Still this day have no idea what I might have experienced it led me in that direction but something did.

Nothing in the Bible is fact it's myth you're the one stating that the Bible is an errant and therefore can't be interpreted anyway but yours.

Again because there isn't some paragraph written in the Bible saying and God said unto Mary Jesus will suffer a horrible and painful death it must have never been discussed with her ahead of time. Obviously if God comes to you and impregnates you without you having sex there's pretty much anything you're probably going to accept from God. Because you know that your son was immaculately conceived and is not going to die no matter how he physically dies and since Christ knew how he was going to die well beforehand there's a good chance he discussed it with her. But again Stephen assumes if there isn't a specific paragraph saying this was discussed then he implies it was never addressed in any way shape or form because he is a Bible literalist just like a fundamentalist.

I don't believe in banning any speech unless it would cause immediate harm like yelling fire in a crowded theater. I do however do not think they should be able to block access to a clinic or intimidate people going into a clinic. That is actually trying to restrict or intimidate people from seeking a service that is legal.

Any practice that allows you to focus in on exercising what you believe on a spiritual level. Meditation, reiki, spell work, ritual work, prayer, certain types of craftsmanship like blacksmithing and spending and weaving done as a way of honoring other your ancestors or certain gods or goddesses. Things of that nature. This might also include practices that you engage in to help yourself and others in the form of tarot, healing, mediumship, or psychic practices.

I'd rather be murdered than raped or tortured. But that's my perspective as a woman and someone who lived through child abuse.

No this thread is quoting Jewish text that was transferred to the Bible and calling Christians out for it while avoiding calling Jews and Muslims out for it. It's a hate post targeting Christian members of the forum.

The problem with the term atheist is that I know plenty of people that are involved in spirituality in witchcraft that will tell you their atheist. This tells me or they will say to you I don't believe in gods or I don't work with gods. That is a completely different scenario than the atheist that post here at this site. They believe in nothing spiritual. They do not believe in a soul, they do not believe in spiritual practices like meditation, they do not believe in the practices involved in witchcraft. There needs to be something that describes a full on atheist that believes in nothing other than themselves and the atheist that also has a spiritual practice because they are in no way shape or form the same animal.
