RNG Mafia (RESTARTED) DP1

My reading  of those two posts by Earth makes way more sense. If Earth knows I'm town, why is he so ready to get the lynch off me? Town has 2 ML's. That's way too ballsy play. 

I'd actually rather lynch Supa here, but I don't like WF's last post either. He's basically refusing to play the game. He made plenty of good reads last game before any character claim was made. I don't know what this new philosophy is about, maybe he's not liking this themeless game, but I have also always found it a scumtell that mafia attribute randomness to their lynching. That way it's less of a loss. A townie on the other hand would cry foul about town idiocy or scummy behaviour. Still, there's a couple ways to read it. 

I would actually really really like to lynch Supa here. 

This is not too difficult to understand, and really is a good way to read the game. Most of this game is loss mitigation rather than actually playing for a win. You'll see people lynched for being "anti-town". You'll see it written that this person is either scum or stupid. People don't play to win, they play to lose less. It makes sense, we're all feeling around in the dark. If you can lynch someone and put the loss on them if you're wrong, you're only ever winning. But those two examples are the townie side of it. What WF's doing is the mafia side. Putting it all down to randomness or fluke is mafia's loss mitigation. But then he has framed it in this idea of themeless games suck, which is honestly not unbelievable but a bit sad. 

Also I'm never going to scumtell by being inactive. Nor is Wylted, probably not Mikal either. It's a mafia game. I'd sooner believe Wylted was actually arrested for assaulting some dude that tried to tow is car than that he was afraid to post in the forums because of a mafia game. 

I'm not saying it's not a scumtell. For whatever reason, something looking like the freeze-fight-flight instinct does find itself in mafia games. But I think the read should be more judiciously applied. 

Honestly your play reminds me of what you were like in Anime Waifu mafia where you just sort of gave up when I CC'd you.

...Yeah, you want to look at the last game when my Magistrate was redirected? I recognized that I was the likely lynch and said it was pretty unlikely that I could argue my way out of it. At the beginning of this DP, I said that any claims anyone could make would probably do little to dissuade a lynch because scum have basically been given a list that is basically a grab bag of fake claims with only a small degree of uncertainty, and that they can always claim vanilla because most of town is likely vanilla. Given that, what, precisely, do you think I should do in the face of being sussed? Claiming won't help me, and I can't argue my way out of being behaviorally sussed. 

That is, quite literally, what I said in my very first post in this DP.

At the time that I last posted before I responded to you, there weren't a lot of posts to go off of behaviorally. I can give you some reads now because there are more posts to work with, though they're weak reads, as were the reads I had in the first DP of the last game. Right now, based on what I've read from both of you, I'm reading both you and Badger as town. The type of scum hunting I'm seeing from both of you plays into your metas. Earth is a tougher read and seems to just be rolling with what other people are saying, but he has a history of bandwagoning, so it's hard to call it. I'd put Pie in the slightly town pile, though his contributions are minimal. Oro would also lean town. GP is null because he's just doing what he always does. Mikal is null because he's completely inactive.

Little bit curious you failed to mention Supa there.

Anyway, an easy read here is that WF and DD are not on a scum team together, because these replies to DD are straight up scornful lol. 

I want to lynch Supa. 

I am looking for a replacement for Mikal.

I’m in the middle of my workday and I forgot to cover everyone.

Supa does seem to be a bit more agreeable this game and contributing rather minimally, but the latter isn’t unusual. I’d say he’s null to me.

Just so you all know, NL'ing here reduces town winchance significantly. Even lynching a townie is better. 

Let's just lynch someone (preferably Supa).

He was forced to. Oro voted for Mikal. Pretty much the definition of a bandwagon with the fact that he joined WF’s lynch after you and Disc were on it.

Let’s lynch Earth. His behavior is noticeably different. He just hops on other people’s reasoning + the reasons I mentioned earlier
