If there is one truism in DART mafia it is that Oro is always town.  If there are two, they are that lol is Pie's scum tell and Oro is always town.

By design, there's not much to go on.

  • I'm fine with lynching you for promising to be absent unless some better reason comes along.
  • Right now, wylted and Mikal's total no-show since Thursday seems like a better reason.  Those long absences are very common scum tells and really need to be tested.

Pick someone active and try to flesh out their point of view. Like Earth for example. Wants to pressure for claims, then writes to me, "Given you have two votes on you, please claim". Doesn't want it in the danger zone, only wants to see some claims. Does that seem mafia to you? Does it seem fabricated? Or does it seem town?

Scumtells aren't really a thing. There are a few. But towntells are huge. It's the things townies don't say that make them town. Townies have a real point of view influencing their posts. It's a rare mafia that fabricates that.

Post 63 seems out of character for oro. Not much to go on "by design"? What, because there are probably a lot of vanillas? I would expect something like that from pie or supa but not oro.

Same with whiteflame. Making a single post that basically amounts to "Not role madness, guess we just vote people that have not posted yet". Like, if you start complaining about inactivity less than 24 hours in and on the first page then don't post at all afterwards I feel like you are kinda asking for it so VTL whiteflame

I'm not really sure what you're expecting from me, tbh. My post also included points about how pushing for a claim wouldn't be very effective in this DP without more activity. I don't see a reason why I should change who I'm VTLing, given his complete lack of participation up until now, and the last 24 hours have largely involved me preparing for Valentine's Day and having a heavy work day today. That being said, if you think it's scummy of me to post as I did, then there's little I can do to dissuade you at this stage. We're all speculating based on minimal behavioral information at this point, and like Pie said early in the DP, I think it's going to come down to a relatively random choice regardless. If I'm that choice, then so be it.

Alright so after rereading, I want to lynch Earth for a couple of reasons:

This is Earth in post 34: “I support randomly pressing for claims.”

This is Earth in post 38: “Given that you have 2 votes on you, please claim.


These two statements don’t go to together. Wagon on Badger wasn’t “random” by any means. He willingly joined the wagon meaning he knew Badger’s affiliation.

The second reason kinda fits along with the first one. He’s bandwagoning WF now, which doesn’t at all fit with the randomness that he proposed. Also it’s extremely odd that he’s this lynch-happy.

The third reason also kinda fits with the other two. The aggression is extremely different from him. I don’t think I’ve seen him outright ask for a claim ever, especially with only 2 votes on someone. Very odd to me.

1. Whiteflame - Null - I can never read Whiteflame this early in the game. It’s why I investigated him 2 games ago. There’s not really a scum meta vs a town meta for him that I’ve noticed. Maybe I’m just lazy idk

2. Disc - Lean Town - I’ll give him props for bringing activity, but mainly just a gut feeling

3. Supadudz - Null - Inactive

4. Oromagi - Lean Town - He’s done something that fits his town meta from what I remember + his observation on Badger screams town to me 

5. Mikal - Null - Inactive

6. Pie - Confirmed Town

7. Earth - Scum - Reasons I mentioned in the prior post

8. Badger - Null - I still don’t like the excuse he gave for his inactivity, but he has been active and engaging so far

9. Greyparrot - Lean Town - Fits the meta so far with his immediate claim, though he’s the weakest town read I have atm

Claims? Why should I care about 'getting claims'? people could lie and say they have a town role.
 I don't see a reason why I should change who I'm VTLing, given his complete lack of participation up until now
I feel like if you were town you would read the DP to try to figure out who is town and who is scum. The fact that you are not seems odd.

I can't remember playing with Earth as scum and have not played with him much as town either. Very little experience playing with him, if your insight into his meta is based on experience with him then I am open to taking a closer look at his posts.
