I didn't target anyone. The role would have given me the opportunity to force scum to block for me against the NK, but as soon as Savant was lynched and confirmed guilty, it just became a way for me to survive the NK at the cost of another townie. I didn't see a reason to potentially sacrifice someone so I could become Vanilla.

I tactically disagree with your choice to not protect yourself. Anyone might be scum, and getting them to kill themselves would be epic.
Austin you are absolutely insane if you interpreted what I said as me scum reading you lol. At best I said it made me reconsider town confirming you and was a compliment to your skill and ability as a player, and allowing myself not to be completely blind sided by you if your behavior changes in the future… kind of like what it’s doing now ;-)

I've read through them and I agree he's stretching. He also seems to be hedging a lot in that analysis. I'll have to re-read his and your thoughts before I post mine in full, though.
You should definitely re read it. It’s not “stretching” at all. It was literally me acknowledging that scum are capable of bussing and that if anyone is capable of pulling off a bus it’s Austin after he fooled me in pies last game. None of this was a scum read on him, and I acknowledged the logic with savant phrasing was literally only something that made me second guess that he could be being coached by him based on the wording, and I even acknowledged that I would still treat Austin as if he was town until his behavior shifted.
So what, if anything, do you dis-agree with here? Because you jumped on board with Austin’s logic extremely fast when he also inaccurately jumped to the conclusion that I was scum reading him.

Have you even tried considering any town reason why not revealing information about my role is beneficial here? Because it seems like you are blatantly ignoring any reason for me to withhold information here. I have given you everything you as town would ever need to know here. I told you I am functionally a weaker doctor. My role is not named doctor, but essentially does the same thing. Revealing the weakness of my role does not benefit town in the slightest.
I guess you can have the justification, which is that my character is well skilled in the art of Ayurveda, and my expertise extends beyond human medicine ranging to animals like horses which were crucial for transportation during wartime. But yeah not giving you any more information about my role. Period.

Behavioral reasons why Austin is likely scum here:
The behavior shift here is actually astronomical. Austin tried to establish town cred by what I am now assuming is a bus on savant. Look at the reasons I mentioned earlier, about the wording of savant's role. Is it not super convenient that Savant claims a role with a description modifier that matches the exact phrasing style that Austin uses? It is clear that he is being coached by someone experienced. I didn't even say this person was austin initially. All I said was that because of the way it was phrased, and none of the recent games he researched even specify that role "Non-consecutive doctor" that austin could be an option. Watch how he then IMMEDIATELY flips on me, the confirmed doctor who counter claimed savant when the only other claimed protective role is an actual body guard style role lol. Austin then goes super hard on the "let's one v one" manipulation thinking I won't call his bluff. What happened to the benevolent townie leading that was happening just last day phase? This shows that is was likely a ruse all along. I think austin was hoping for town cred and he did get it. But the second I revoke "town-confirming" him he acts
like I was FOSing him and immediately goes to OMGUS. He even knows what he is doing is OMGUS which is why he tried to call it out before hand in post 74 (which is a manipulation tactic as well).

Now he's trying to butter up to joebob and moozer who are now is "Biggest town reads" and also the people who are newer to the game and he probably feels most easy to manipulate. Notice, as scum, buttering up to people is the number one way to manipulate them. I did the same shit to pie all last game. Now he's trying to do it here. Ultimately the vote for himself and threat to one v one me is the hardest selling point here on why austin is scum here, because town do not vote for themselves. I've seen mafia do it alot, and they try to scare town and manipulate them away from voting them with this "repercussion" logic. But nothing Austin is doing here is pro town. And if he is town doing it, he needs to be tought NOT to do it. So we should be lynching austin today, and I hope someone with a non impactful role to town would be willing to place the final vote. However like I said if no one is willing to take one for the team, I'll happily do it if it means winning the game.
Worst come worse, if we are both town, you have less wifom arguments to deal with since there is one scum down. Two town plus a night kill leaves 4 players remaining, a ton of POE, and another night of results. And if you don't get results, you can always vtnl dp3, take it to three players for a final LYLO. At this point neither me or austin will ever trust each other the rest of the game until we know how the other flips. And if were both town we can take the argument on who was right to the endgame, but I'd rather get this nonsense one v one out of the game now so we don't leave any questions for the lylo phase, while we can afford it. Us doing this isn't even that harmful if both town if you look at the numbers given we got that day phase one lynch. And you can scratch the worry of austin (an up and coming protegy) and myself (a vet) off the table where you don't have to worry about being fooled by one of us.

Who says this as town? The fact that I am willing to call his bluff shows that I have less to risk here than he does. This is all or nothing for him. He hedged all his bets on people buying into his town cred from the savant bus. If that doesn't work, at least he saves himself a lot of time and effort of having to manipulate everyone after I put it out there that he isn't town confirmed. He was really banking on being town confirmed, and wants to shut the narrative that he isn't down, and hopes by intimidating me and getting me to back down he will accomplish that further, and if I do back down, still get lynched, he can play it off as "Look lunatic was just being anti town by not giving information blah blah" and manipulate the rest of you blindly for the rest of the game. Yeah the fact that I am not doing that should tell you what this is pretty blatantly.
I have less to risk than he does by doing this and he knows it. This is a win win for him, because if he is scum he doesn't have to waste him time after this point if don't back down. And If I do he gets a mislynch he feels he can justify out of it.
That's why I say let's just cut out all this nonsense and fucking do it. Town is literally in a spot where they can afford to do it, it gets two major players off the field for you to worry about in the backs of your minds, and I trust the rest of town to be able to figure out who the last scum is if it isn't austin, as you essentially will still have to extra phases to do it if you VTNL after results are passed next phase.
