I wanna take back my earlier words on Austin being town locked. I think I got excited about the last lynch and am getting carried away. Austin is an extremely good player, completely capable of bussing. He's extremely good. I didn't even suspect him when he was scum in pie's last game. Well I did initally but had back tracked the read by the end of the day phase. 

The only reason I am backtracking here is the way savant claimed. 

Fine. I'm non-self-targeting doctor.

Who else has received a role like that? Austin has a unique way of naming roles when he mods, for example in the robots mafia game when I was doctor, I was the "Nonconsecutive Doctor." Not just the Doctor who happens to not be able to use his action on consecutive nights, the way other mods probably frame this role. 

Look at some of the roles he's used before. "Doctor-Strengthener."  "Flipped-Tracker", "Donation-dependent innocent child", "odd-night stalker" "Even-night roleblocker" "Even-Night Commuter" 

Where I feel like most mods would say something along the lines of "You are the doctor! (Insert role justification here) You may not target your self. You win with the town." 

The clarification is made in the role pm, or when asked by the player. Austin has a tendency to include his flavor names in his roles. He very easily could have helped Savant with that claim, and I've been paranoid about the way it was phrased in the back of my head, but didn't realize it until now what was bothering me about it.

This isn't hard evidence that austin is scum by any means, and I know he might have just picked up the wording from watching an austin game. Or another experienced player helped him with it. This being a bus is not completely off the table. I will treat austin as if he is town regardless, but I am not going to excuse anti-town behavior in the future is all I am saying, just because he was on the correct lynch. He could have been hoping to bus his partner and ride this out for the long game. We should treat him as any other player for now. 

Also I am a little curious of him for trying to press me for more information on my character/role and putting me as a priority for claiming. I don't see how me further claiming details on my protective role helps town at all at this point. I CC'ed the doctor who was guilty. Sure you could argue I was bussing, but how does my character or role matter? And then you have to buy no town protective roles, etc. Idk seemed weird to me.

I am most skeptical of Barney and joebob right now. Joebob because I can't google his character having anything to do with Mahabharata, that and I keep running into articles saying Vasudev calls himself Krishna as a pseudonym, so I am just really confused on that one, but some other familiar character names have come up in those same wiki links so idk.

Barney because there is no way his role isn't some revenge based killing role, or killing role in general. It's not a boring enough character to meet the role. I read all about his character, and he does NOT seem like the type of character to just not have a role other than to visit people and do nothing else. And it's convienent who he targeted, like hes trying to cover himself in case of potential tracker/watcher results. 

Very very sus.

I already knew our tracker targeted Vader. That made it much safer to name anyone besides Earth. Of course town has such a lead, that I don’t mind if I’m mislynched today.

And I’m the decoy because my character got revenge by standing there doing nothing but distracting Bhishma (who couldn’t kill me because of a vow against killing women, which for no sensible reason applied to me as a man), allowing Arjuna to kill him.

Yeah, I'm not really liking this.

For starters, it's bizarre to sus me for the way Savant claimed his role. I mod using Mafiascum flavor roles. I don't have access to the wiki at school right now, but I'm pretty sure that a protective role that can't target itself is simply called Macho, or Non-personal. I've never heard of a Non-Self-Targeting modifier.

Like... if this is the best evidence he can come up with against me, it gives me vibes of a player who's going to get pinned down by POE and needs to minimize cleared town players as fast as possible.

I pressed Luna for info on claiming because there was the least chance of scum adapting their roles based on his, so the reasons were pragmatic, not behavioral. And I don't really think he gets towncred for CCing Savant, considering Savant was going down anyway.

Same story for pushing Joebob. Joebob is cleared by virtue of being town's unCC's investigative role. Again, it reeks of a player trying desperately to escape POE.

Sorry about the delay, guys. I've been slammed with work all morning. If anyone's familiar with microbiology, I've just been sitting at my desk counting plates for the last 3 hours straight, so I'm having trouble focusing my eyes enough to see the screen atm.

In any case, I'm Arjuna. As the favored student of Drona and one of the few surviving commanders of the Kurukshetra War, I am the VIP. I can target someone and they effectively become by BG for the night until said BG dies, then I lose my ability.

I just realized that Earth's role PM basically mod-confirms my role lol.

 If that player dies sometime before the next night phase, they will be revealed as any other currently living player (randomly chosen at the time of death). This can only happen once in the game. You win with the Town.
Why would Pie refer to a generic death, rather than a lynch? This only makes sense if there is some other type of day death.

Alright, I'm going to work on a set of reads to post later (probably after work at this rate), but I don't really buy that my role is even a quasi-CC on Luna. Mine is self-protective, whereas his role seems to have something to do with protecting others.

I didn't target anyone. The role would have given me the opportunity to force scum to block for me against the NK, but as soon as Savant was lynched and confirmed guilty, it just became a way for me to survive the NK at the cost of another townie. I didn't see a reason to potentially sacrifice someone so I could become Vanilla.

I've read through them and I agree he's stretching. He also seems to be hedging a lot in that analysis. I'll have to re-read his and your thoughts before I post mine in full, though.

I don't buy that logic at all. It's more likely to be much like if someone dies in the night instead of specifying how, not proving the existence of a vigilante; It's just easy phrasing on Pie's part.
