Why liberals support criminals and criminality
-->
@WyIted
The law defines criminality.

Whether or not people either agree or abide by such definitions is another matter.

As far as we are able to know there is no greater authority that can define human behaviour, in terms of right and wrong.

"Liberals support criminals and criminality" is conservative rhetoric.

Conservatives are criminals, would be the liberal approach.

In my opinion...A peaceable opposition of principles is the best alternative.

Another option is Russia, where opposition is either imprisoned or gunned down on the streets.

Far Eastern systems of enforced subservience through education, perhaps have their merits.

Though all that we can infer, is that a global society of intelligent organisms is enhancing material evolution, either for a greater  purpose or for no greater purpose.

And I still tend to run with the former, rather than  the nihilistic alternative.

And all systems of people management seem to be working in this respect.

Anyone who ever scratched their chin and considered something, was a scientist.

And so people got together in Chicago in 1893 and got all gooey over mystical Boy Gods who go ohmmmmmmmmmm a lot.

Did  a Buddhist ever go to the Moon?

Yep I know, on another plane in another existence.

Nope, I'm no more impressed by Buddhist BS than I am by Catholic BS.

Other than for tourism purposes.

Though Rome is an overpriced, over populated nightmare. (Mind you, so is London)

And I'm sure that the Dalai Lama is a very nice chap, who says excitingly profound things.

And so if eminent World Atheists convened in Chicago next week and concluded that all religion was bollocks, would you believe them?

I doubt it.

Well, one might suggest that there is a marked difference between internal squabbles over transport infrastructure, and international squabbles over territory.

Russia and Ukraine certainly preferred the bullet and bomb option over the coffee and a chat option.

It's all it takes Herr Franklin, it's all it takes.

So we could indeed be distant Anglo Saxon cousins.

And prior to that who knows.

Roman influences for sure.

Maybe a sprinkling of Viking.

And all manner of influences radiating out from the Mediterranean, into North Africa, Central Europe and the Middle East.

In fact, it is thought that the origins of the Celt was Indo-European.

And of course, originally we all started somewhere 2 million or more years ago.

So I start my family tree back then and refer to myself an Earthling.

And you prefer to start yours a few hundred years ago and refer to yourself as Irish-American.

No worries Bro.

Top of the morning to ya Doc.

@Dr.Franklin
Franklin is very much Anglo Saxon and comes from the Germanic Frankel.

So if you are in fact related to any Franklins you will inevitably have a smaller or larger percentage of relevant DNA.

Britain and Ireland and also the USA for that matter, are undeniably mongrel nations.

Based upon names only, I would probably have Germanic-English, Scottish, Irish and even Jewish connections.

As things stand for one generation, you are an American mongrel breed and I am a British one.

Though if we start our ancestral clock 2 million years ago, we would undoubtedly have common ancestors.

Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, we prefer to start the clock later rather than earlier Doc.

For sure.

One can simultaneously refer to oneself as both a Buddhist and a scientist.

Similarly one can refer to oneself as both a peach and a pear...Though this doesn't necessarily infer the existence of a tin of fruit salad.

A Muslim grocer would be better placed to prophesize the existence of canned food products.

Western people tend to get all gooey over Buddhism because it's all ace, mystically eastern with prayer wheels, flags and Kung-fu...And overlook the importance of Archimedes.

In fact Franklin, is an anglicized Germanic name given to an Anglo Saxon freeman.

Some authors say what some authors want to say.

Though in this instance, I would say that you have conflated your question erroneously.

As I stated previously, religions are, and do not need scientific approval.

And as I also suggested, Buddhism is not  a religion in the typical deistic sense.

Which religion is most scientifically proven?

Well, all religions are, so require no scientific approval.

And science has never proven the existence of a specific deity or specific deities.

Though old style theocracies (and modern ones I suppose), were/are the chief sponsors of scientific research.

That aside, I would suggest that Buddhism is not a deistic religion, but promotes a ritual adherence to a sort of naive sociological fantasy philosophy, based upon the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, a sort of South Asian Jesus type mystic.

So, I'm not sure that such lifestyle choices require scientific approval, or that the Buddha sought to scientifically prove their basis.

Though material and astrological sciences seem to be a human evolutionary requisite, irrespective of non-scientific theological or philosophical ideology.

Yep, the biblical character that certain Middle Eastern style deists refer to as Jesus, presented as male.

A male who sought the company of other men.

No offspring or sexually significant female acquaintances recorded, so putting two and two together.

Knowledge is what we know.

So we only know that there is human life on one planet.

Other than that.

It's 21.599999999 recurring, so I guess that FLRW was just rounding up.

Though I'm guessing also that 22 stars just went supernova destroying 72 planets, 3 humanoid civilisations and 14 billion non-humanoid species.

Out of those 14billion species, 2 were intelligent non-humanoid.

One of which escaped and was heading this way.

They can be identified by their peculiar hairstyle, orange skin colour, delicate hands and mushroom like appendages.

Approach with caution.

It was men who generally had the last say on stuff like creation and existence hypotheses...So they chose a man.

Not taking into account, that women give birth and men fuck things up.

GOD was perhaps a hermaphroditic reptile out cruising the universe.

Or whatever.

Though experience informs us that some of our top theists will orientate in any direction, irrespective of gender or age.

Well, the phrase "not that unique" is a contradiction in terms.

Something is either unique or not.

It can't be sort of unique almost but not quite just a little bit marginally similar but not that much so as to make it not quite special enough but sort of different though inconclusively unspectacular  but reasonably extraordinary in an indifferent sort of way type thing almost.
