How is admitting that we don't know arrogant?
No what was said.

Since when is a sincere question an argument?
Calling someone ignorant not an argument.
Calling someone arrogant an argument.
Like I said.

Don't really need to say more. You made your opinion on the matter clear. You not liking my being the same sign as your crush is on you.

You are quite blatantly not a Libra in many ways so how can you believe in star signs? Do you seriously think you have a Libra personality?
You poor thing. There is more to a sign then the day you were born. There is the year and time. And the internet is not real life. You know nothing about me.

Has anyone watched this? It's about Jack Parsons, who was a rocket scientist and involved in Thelema. Never heard of him and I guess the show really dives into the ritual work of the OTO. He has ties to L Ron Hubbard too? Hubbard married his ex and they stole money from him. Crazy.

Divorce was rare because it killed you monetarily and socially. In the US people don't do arraigned marriages anymore. Women are no longer property.

There are 12 houses in a horoscope. These are cheesy sun sign stuff that isn't as accurate as it can be. Year and time of day effect the outcome.
Created:

@RationalMadman
Just your sun sign is silly and not actually very accurate. You need a whole natal chart done. It is way more detailed and usually included generational influences.

Jesus called him Father. He is called the Father of Israel in the Old Testament. I think there is a duality to God. Father and Holy Spirit. Holy Sprint being feminine.

Thank you.
Your welcome. None of them are scholarly. It's more folk tales. I don't think many do any research outside Biblical lore.

I think all sources have a bias one way or another. Fox and CNN are both untrustworthy in general. Even internet sites usually favor one side or another. When you look back people will say Walter Cronkite was neutral but it turns out he wasn't. He was very liberal and paid for demonstrations and then reported on them appearing to be neutral. Now media sources don't hide their stances. It doesn't help most are run by rich guys and companies who use them to lobby public opinion. Doesn't matter. Things work the way they are supposed to. Read or watch enough you start to get bits of truth.

Out of curiosity would you say that Loki or Hel is more analogous to the Satan of Christian doctrine or is there even an analogous figure in Norse myth?
I don't think either really covers what he represents but if I had to pick one Loki. Lucifer does not care for the dead or rule an underworld like Hel does but he is representative of submitting to ones whims. Loki is playful and chaotic. My impression is Lucifer is very serious. Personally I don't think Lucifer is a fallen angel. I think he represents paganism and living for selfish desire. I do think demons are a race of beings and he is one but it's not like the Bible portrays them as they interfere with a believer gong to God for the things they might do for a person. Some claim he is the consort of Diana and the Father if her daughter who is Queen of Witches. Which is why he works with them so readily.

Do you believe in the devil? If so who or what is the devil? What effects does this being have on our world? What makes this being objectively evil, if indeed it is inherently evil?Would this being mind, do you think, if we call it Stan for the purposes of this discussion?
Yes
A demon
He works with people same as other spiritual beings.
No
Not sure what being disrespectful is going to accomplish.

Microbiology and the study of deadly diseases therein wasn't even an existent concept. This is absurd attribution of intention to that which such intention was not even rationally possible at the time because there was no knowledge of things like germs, natural immunities, etc.
So it's your opinion even thought it's a fact that people didn't know small pox was contagious and it killed Native Americans who has contracted it and giving blankets used by people with it wouldn't spread. Cause you think they had to be that stupid. It's not the plague or the Middle Ages.

no not at all, I think the U.S. shouldn't be paying the lions share so all the other countries can benefit from our taxes and citizen's money.
We benefit from our taxes and money. I don't complain about taxes when I have roads and water and a toilet. I don't complain about drug prices when I get state of the art treatment and not lines. I don't want to rely on the interest of other nations to do research OR NOT. Which would be the case.

Because they were not the ones turning the gas on for one. Same as politicians who send kids to war or the guy who thought to give small pox blankets Native Americans. You honestly have to view those people as not human. How they do that I don't know. Those types of people are always around. They just don't have the ability to be more out in the open as those guys did.

Nice. Well... for me, i already know i will reincarnate into another mortal experience. But this time it will have magic and powers and be more exciting. That's for now however. I believe i will go where ever i am thinking of before i die. Could be a vampire reality, or if i am over that, a harry potter type reality... or something new i like before i die. To me, it all exists, so i basically see it as you do plus some extra's. I feel we are building our next character/reality everyday we are here.
Could be. I think this is why animism was around for a long time before gods. And why those "creatures" appear in shamanic travel.

I've done this several times not knowing I was burning poison ivy, it spread all over my head and neck and everywhere but thankfully not in my lungs even though I'm sure I inhaled smoke from it.I actually never knew this, be careful....
One July 4th the uncles drug wood out of the fire. Next day all of the family was at the Dr. It's a small town and when he walked out and say all of us (seven aunt with kids) he chuckled. We all got shots that day, lol.

In your belief, what do you think happens to you in the afterlife? I ask bc you believe these gods are all true. Does that mean there is a heaven and there is also Valhalla? But in either case where do you go?
It think it depends on your choices. I think Christians go to Heaven or Hell, unless I die in battle I would be looking at Helheim. Those that believe in reincarnation go right back. There are choices for those unaffiliated. I don't know specifics but I don't see why if the gods are there that their places to live in the afterlife are not. Hela, the goddess of the dead in Norse/Germanic myth, is willing to take in all dead. Some who work with her will tell you she takes Christians not allowed into Heaven which I would love to know more about. Perhaps that is Hell really, Just wondering loose in the universe. Obviously, spirits can still come to Earth and do stuff. In theosophy there is a great Akashic library you can go and read in. It contains all the past, present and future of all humanity. Imagine that if you are a reader or history buff.

My Christ vision would be called a dream by most but it wasn't. I would have wavered on that at the time but now I know better. I don't think every thing that happens when we sleep is dreaming per se. But whole different topic.

I agree. But, i don't know if you read the 2 experiences i shared, but experiences like that give you no choice but to consider there might be something going on. Some people are swayed more easy... for instance an experience would be a mere revelation or something small. For me, it had to be as big as the experiences i've had. Even those i am still agnostic over bc you know... i can still say coincidence. But they are profound enough to not have me be confident to say i am an atheist and/or i believe in nothing. I just wonder why... why is it that i have had these experiences but others don't? I sometimes think i could have momentarily gone insane, but then the second experience i shared defies that bc i have proof it happened in that my other friend was there it too. It just makes things kinda weird. I always tell atheists be happy you don't have experiences bc it really does mess with your mind. Have you had any experiences btw?
Yes I read them. Mine were not as what I would call intense as yours but they changed my way of thinking. I have always believed in an afterlife from about age six on. We had an active spirit in the house I grew up in with others seeing it as well. God or gods was another matter. I had a vision of Christ at 17 and a salvation experience at 19. I was not raised in any religion but both grandmothers were Christian. After a NDE I lost all faith in God and Jesus. Then had several experiences with the Germanic/ Norse gods I work with now. I think not only experiences but worshiping deities is not the happy go lucky life that most atheists seem to claim theists get into theism for.

Sexual attraction is often hardwired for child birth. No kidding most people are the most attractive when young. I am almost 50 and honestly don't give a crap. My husband and I have a great sex life and our desire hasn't waned in the least. If not for having to work around kids we would have sex daily. Once your past birthing kids there are all kinds of reasons to find a person attractive. Sex is not something tied just to reproduction.

you are spot on about that. So now the new thing is giving babies peanut butter early on so they don't develop an allergy to it. Not sure if you ever watched the soybean documentary about monsanto, think it was on prime, don't remember the name, sorry, but it was informative and crazy imo. We are so ill informed when it comes to food. They talk about a disease that will end humanity, if it does it was man made.there's a reason why farm steads and "prep" have become popular, if my circumstances would allow for it, I'd do it too.
Mansanto is a criminal enterprise as far as I am concerned. I know my son's diet can completely effect how he functions being autistic. He can't do Red Dye or dairy. He doesn't seem to have the gluten issue. He has major skin sensitivity too. So we make most of our skin products like lotion, soaps and after shave.

there's already egg substitutes, they can probably do the same thing with those that they can with tissue, someday, in a Star Trek kind of future. i'm just saying many of the food animals only exist because of humans who want to eat them, if that no longer exists those animals will probably not exist any longer.. Not a judgement thing, just the possibility, probability I see.but to your point, while I think this technology is interesting etc, I'd prefer more attention to promoting good animal welfare, local farmers and the best ethical standards that we can implement.
I have some issues with genetically modified food and subbing soy for everything animal based. There are already unethical companies operating in the food industry that are not meat related. I also feel, not science to it, that there is a reason that there are now sensitivities to gluten and dairy, especially in those with autism. And Red dye 40 drives some kids crazy. We sometimes don't think about what we ingest just assuming it's ok but I think nature or natural is always better.

I think you have a point. But, personally.. i am a contradiction to that. I was atheist until a couple profound experiences have changed my views. I am far from religious... but, bc of these experiences, i have imagined a spiritual platform that can explain them. I became spiritual due to experience(s). I doubt i am the only one too. But i get what you are saying too... if people are religious minded they will probably have more experiences or prone to them. However, in the very beginning when no one was religious or had a spiritual view... i imagine spiritual experiences are what started the speculations.
All people, even if raised in a religion are atheist until they have an experience. They are just cultural believers until they see it for themselves.

Very true in Aus. Many of the christians I know are agnostic, and don't know or care about the existence of God. Conversely, I have atheist friends who attend church for no other reason than the social aspect.
Then they are not Christians.

I see no reason why not, unless some parents started bitching about it and turned it into a liability headache for the school. So long as the teacher is a qualified carrier, it could even avert disaster. But I think many teachers are not going to want a gun brought into their classroom, a choice I would also have to respect.
Probably not. In area I work probation has the option to carry or not. Of the 2 of the 7 carry. They don't like coming across as law enforcement and most probationers are not aggressive. When you have one that might be you just see them with another officer. It think it would depend on how safe the teacher feels. Some might love to and those probably carry already.

agreed, and good for you, I'm enviousImagine if you will no need for chickens because of the process, wouldn't chickens eventually cease to exist? There is a need for them and a purpose w/o that other than in books there would be no need for them, it's not like are wild animals.
What about eggs?
