Why does man believe more in himself than in God?

@sadolite
So you don't ever believe you'll do something or won't do something?

@Double_R
Ok well as long as you agree with that, very good. See I don't have to argue when I find agreement.

Very good.

"Your question is incoherent - If the story is false it cannot also be true."

My point exactly. You indirectly answered the question even with just trying to critique it.

An example of what you said, the so called flying spaghetti monster.

"But in writing this you inadvertently made my point. You assumed at the outset that the story you were making up was in fact false without any evidence and despite the fact that any story one can make up is possible (unless it's internally contradictory)."

i.e. , the flying spaghetti monster.

But to bring it back to my main point. Things exist regardless if they have been proven to me .

I don't know. We're talking two different lanes. You're in the logic science, I'm talking what was before all that existed yes.

You're not the only one who has to have patience, join the club. You should expect this in debates, even in discussions. Not everyone has the same worldview so expect misunderstandings, explanations, nothing new comrade.

I have patience and I don't have to demean and be condescending with it at the same time.

I just simply asked what caused women to be stronger than men. You made the statement, I'd figure you know that much.

I use the words gender and sex alternately as synonymous is what I'm saying preferentially.

But I understand you use the term as meaning a social construct.

You have to have faith that you'll being going anywhere tomorrow. Why?

You have absolutely no evidence that you'll even wake up tomorrow. Now people don't like the idea that somethings you're just going to have to believe in. Just the way it is. Nothing wrong with having hope when it keeps you going on the right path.

Would we not believe in ourselves if we had the choice to do so?

Do you say yes or no to this?

If I was to get a tattoo what would come to mind is the design like you said. Then I think about where that ink is going to go.

It's going on my colored skin. I know I have skin with a color, I've seen it. So of course the image of the skin comes to mind. It's how what is decided of what looks good on it in combination with the selected ink art.

@Double_R
"They were rhetorical questions, that was obvious."

I understand the apprehension in actually getting an individual's answer instead.

"Takes care of what? It sounds like you're saying that because atheists made up a monster, that monster therefore is proven to not exist. Which does not logically follow, unless you are simply saying that you accept as your default position until such time as evidence can be shown to the contrary, that it doesn't exist."

So you mean to tell me that I can make up a FALSE story and a true replicant of it could actually exist in the world somewhere.

Are you chalking it up to possible coincidence scenarios?

I don't believe any other type of belief exists. Meaning you believe in something because of evidence, no. You just know something exists based on it.

So belief and faith based without evidence, that's goes without saying.

No I don't. Do you understand what a thing is?

Let me be more specific than that. A physical thing.

Saying God is everything, you're talking about pantheism.

I thought I specifically mentioned the spirit of God.

You want a woman to live . That very woman is a wife you want to obey her husband that tells her to get out of the way of that moving vehicle about to strike her down.

"Do you pray to Zeus? Thor? The Flying Spaghetti Monster? I'm guessing you don't. If not why not? Have you proven they don't exist?"

Simple answer off the top is I never looked into those first two figures. The third one I understand is made up by atheists themselves so that takes care of that.

That is my answer. You asked me a question then answered for me.

No my answer is since you asked,I never looked into those first two figures. The third one I understand is made up by atheists

Why have more faith in yourself than God when you're going to disappoint your own self in life time and time again? When you're going to do things you regret and possibly hate yourself for. Do you follow?

When man says he's going to do something tomorrow and doesn't do it. Either because he made excuses, quit, chickened out or worse, didn't even wake up.

You don't have faith in God but have faith you're going to wake up the next morning. Besides that, to possibly not deliver on your own promises(prayers).

I guess you may think it's fair to say that society is geared for women to be just as dominant regardless of nature. So we have discussions about equality, men and women sports, making certain job roles more gender neutral.

Job roles such as stewardess to flight attendant, waitress to server, secretary to administrative assistant.

For the longest I didn't know about that last one. I believe the word "actress" has been abandoned and they're all called actors alike.

That default position is fallacious. To say nothing exists until proven is false. There are many things that exist, have existed long before proven to me.

They're not meant to prove God. According to biblical scripture, God in the son said himself blessed are those who believe and have not seen.

Why do you think people troll?
Why do you think people troll ?

Is it because you personally offended them on a sensitive subject?

Why do you think people ad hominem attack in a debate?

When you try to be peaceful, civil, mature and reason with them, that's when they troll harder.

Anyone experience that, chime in everybody, trolls, kids included.

"You said sexual orientation was achoice, I find that very interesting, it was not a choice for me, I don’t thinkyou realize what a curiosity you are."

Please quote exactly where I said " sexual orientation was achoice". Word for word , not paraphrased but in exact wording please.

"I wouldn’t know, does it havesomething to do with decorating, accessorizing, maybe flamboyance?   "

Let's go over the definition of gay or gayness. At least when I use the terms. Maybe you use them differently. It's having the an attraction sexually between to males and or engaging in the act of sexual activity between the two. Having some affiliation with that.

So yes that is how it is acted out .

"I think I understand, you havehomosexual desires, but you choose to not act on them, and that is what makesit a choice for you, is that it?"

Do you actually want a serious dialogue or are you looking to just ad hominem attack?

I'm not here to attack anybody. Take no offense please.

The rest of what you had to say was getting personal. I understand if this subject is sensitive but let us not get personal.

Why is a gay person a heterophobe?

What makes them that?

Lesbianism. "Ism" is usually a system of something. Are you referring to a working system, network of females having sexual desires and relationships in society?

I don't think I have any views on a system of it unless we're talking about its effect on society.
