Well, at least you can't claim that you weren't an entirely willful participant in your own misinformation.

The claim was made by Viktor Shokin, not lawyers.
  • Shokin starts: " I make this statement at the request of lawyers acting for Dmitry Firtash ("DF"), for use in legal proceedings in Austria."\
FIrtash is a Mob Godfather- Putin's man in Kyiv.  Why would any honest Prosecutor freely claim to be acting at the request of one of the most famous criminals in his home town?

  • Why are those same two lawyers working for Giuliani?  Because Putin and Trump both want dirt on Biden.  This is two weeks after the Trump-Zelensky whistleblower made his accusations.  This is just over two weeks before Trump's first impeachment.  Trump is tweeting and talking about Hunter Biden every day at this point.  Why wouldn't any honest lawyer working for Trump stay well the fuck away from any lawyers working for Russian mobsters in Kyiv- wouldn't that be the last thing Trump needs?
A couple of weeks later, just as the impeachment trial begins, Solomon is writing articles in the hill quoting Shokin but neglecting to disclose that the lawyers mentioned in the first sentence are also Giuliani's lawyers and are also his lawyers for many years.  Why would he disguise this essential fact except to make Giuliani's manufactured claim seem more credible?

In any case, this source is compromised.   People working for both Trump and Putin are obviously not objective sources for discovering whether Shokin was honestly investigating Biden when claimed.  The fact that Zelensky's investigation and Shokin's co-workers say that he had dropped Burisma entirely by that time seem far more credible than some testimony manufactured by Giuliani years later.

Ah, the good ole' genetic fallacy. I suppose I should have cited CNN or MSNBC, which is anti-trump and therefore a reliable source on news concerning President Trump, somehow.

I'm surprised you didnt bother to click on the links. Because one of them was based on an interview with Trump's lawyer, who was present at the raid, another one was based on the Director of the DOJ's public statement about the raid, and the third link was Trump's lawyer present at the raid talking about the raid.

I cited those Epoch Times links specifically because they relied on primary source material from the people who were there at the raid and also were in charge of setting the raid in motion.

They contained primary source documents and testimonials from the people directly involved, or were based heavily on their accounts.

The next time you question a source, at least bother to go view what the source said or even is. Even the Associated Press and Reuters have been caught being wrong, and both are decidedly just as biased as The Epoch Times. It is the content, not the person who said it, that matters.

As for Falun Gong. You clearly did not do your research, as the good people over at NTD once gave me a job interview and I was one of their final choices for a news writer. They aren't a bunch of people walled off from society, or else they would not have given me a phone call. In fact Falun Gong is nothing like how you described at all. I don't practice it. I believe it has false teaching in it, but it certainly isn't any more of a cult than Buddhism, Catholicism, or Islam would be.

Here is a reputable primary-source about Falum Gong. It is written by one of the most respected members of the Falun Gong teaching community and is widely accepted as one of the two main source books concerning Falin Gong teaching by members of the Falun Gong community:

Once again, I do not believe Falun Gong. I do not practice it. But you don't have to believe something to be informed about it or speak accurately concerning it.

The police and the FBI are not the same thing.  After all the Govt has done in an attempt to smear Trump and came up with nothing, if the FBI doesn't have hard felony level convictable evidence to throw Trump in jail, the FBI and the white house will lose all credibility. That is all.  Oh ya Don't hold your breath on that felony conviction and Trump goin g to jail. He will be the next President of the US. You heard it here first just like last time.

ADOL: The claim was made by Viktor Shokin, not lawyers.
oromagi: Shokin starts: " I make this statement at the request of lawyers acting for Dmitry Firtash ("DF"), for use in legal proceedings in Austria."\
This is perhaps the best example to date of where your point is defeated, but you just ignore it and keep talking with implicitly moved goalposts.

oromagi: Obviously, the fact that the claim was made by lawyers working for Putin discredits the claim.
That was false, but you won't admit you were wrong; that makes you a "willful participant in your own misinformation".

For the record the claim was made my Shokin. I'm not engaging in your fallacious red herrings about who solicited it because they are fallacious red herrings. If a prosecutor asks a witness a question you don't get to say "objection, the prosecutor is biased". THE PROSECUTOR WAS ASKING NOT ANSWERING.

The fact that Zelensky's investigation and Shokin's co-workers say that he had dropped Burisma entirely by that time seem far more credible than some testimony manufactured by Giuliani years later.
Back to claiming Shokin didn't say that? That's what "manufactured" means. Well since you feel comfortable dismissing statements based on who might have called for them so do I. Therefore the investigation by the replaced state prosecutor is dismissed because clearly he was the deep state approved plant. I'll dismiss your anonymous blogger reports on "coworkers" too because clearly if they were asking the question the answer is tainted.

You can't make a case under your own rules because those rules are ridiculous. It's a double standard pure and simple.

I didn't say that. Though, to be completely fair, they did violate a longstanding precedent on presidential records.

But what I did say was, just as Watergate may have been justified, it was still morally reprehensible. You just don't conduct FBI raids on your political opponents without providing the justification if you want people to believe you live in a Democracy. That was my point.

Trump could have done it to Hillary and Joe Biden but he didn't. He could have done it to Nancy Pelosi for her public financial ties to China, but he didn't. The closest Trump ever came was a State Department investigation that was under the radar and was strong armed by the DOJ and FBI despite there being ample evidence (the laptop, Nancy Pelosi's financial records being public, and the Ukrainian and Russian governments both blatantly talking about the quid pro quo going on with their governments and our elected officials).

In a democracy, you don't just lock up your political enemies or unleash the intelligence community on them without serious reason to. Like outright treason or high crimes and misdemeanors. Even with Joe Biden's and Hillary's cases, in my opinion, it would be acceptable, but this is why we have nationwide elections. The Declaration of Independence says government serves us. And Biden going after a political opponent who was complying 100% with both the FBI and National Archives is not democratic nor anything the United States stands for.

He will be the next President of the US. You heard it here first just like last time.
Did you also predict he would be impeached twice, be a one term President, have the highest turnover of any administration, have the largest National deficits, and instigate a riot at the Capital as he tried to cling to power?

It is obvious that Trump is not the only idiot in USA.  60 million idiots voted for him. Sad :--( lack of some moral and some intellectual integrity

And what did he get for it? This, and probably more. I wouldn't be surprised to see a perp walk.

Somebody was probably telling him that "Mr. President you can't do that, that would be seen as tyrannical". Where are those people when deep-state-democrats are in office?

This is war, it has been war for a while. Pretending you aren't in a war is the best way to lose a war, if there is a republic at the end good for us but you can't keep a republic by letting people trample all over it. That is why I would vote for DeSantis over Trump in a primary. Trump talks the talk, but he does not walk the walk; and the walk is unrestrained political warfare.

Win, then you can slowly rebuild trust and stability. The only reason Germany could rise again was because the real nazis all got themselves killed.

Actually it was 74 million idiots that voted for Trump in 2020.

If Trump was caught fucking a horse in the White House, I have no doubt Trump supporters would say What’s wrong with that, I was thinking of fucking a horse myself.

I’ll wait and see - Trump has been given an opportunity to object to unsealing the warrant - it will be spiced if he does :)
So, they are unsealed and Trump had top secret documents. Because he’s a rich, white man now we have to determine his intent.

Yes yes, from your point of view the Jedi are evil thanks for the input.

Actually those 74 million don't care what is intent was because A) Regardless of Hilary's intent she got a free pass, and B) no other president has been raided to recover documents top-secret or otherwise. C) If Trump said the FBI were lying the 74 million would believe him.

I don't think its possible to be anymore intellectually dishonest than that.  You insult every single person that died in WW2 by saying that. It is laterally the most absurd stupid comparison possible. You should hang your head in shame and be ridiculed by every Jew in the world.

Unless you are an accredited psychiatrist with numerous peer reviewed papers and studies, you are ill-equipped to even ask this question let alone debate/discuss it. Especially when YOU have proven yourself highly uneducated in various real-world topics. Thus, making you a flagrant HYPOCRITE!!!

Trump did, as you know he has declared bankruptcy several times. He has resorted to fraud to stay afloat.

Trump University, stealing from his charities, bilking his election defense fund, financing from Russian oligarchs, money laundering, tax fraud, stealing from his 100 million dollar inauguration fund, violating the emoluments clause of the constitution, on and on.

Lol, how many years of "the walls closing in?" I thought it was just 6 years of that BS, not 40 years of it.

Pretty sure even an idiot like Hunter Biden can blow through 400 million dollars worth of cocaine as long as the proper people are bribed.
