There is no way to determine if Jesus was gay. You do not have to act on your sexual impulses to have a sexual identity, and acting on sexual impulses does not necessarily indicate your sexual identity (i.e. experimentation, sex for procreation). Even if Jesus never had sex with a man, it does not mean he did not ever think about it or want to.  And even if Jesus did have sex with women, it does not mean he did not desire men. The scriptures would have no way of knowing what Jesus desired. What makes him above sin is not acting on sexual desires outside of relationships sanctified by scripture (heterosexual marriage).

Jesus's sexuality is never mentioned, discussed, proved or probed in the Bible and has no relevance on his message.

And one would assume that a women who had been bleeding for 12 years, would have died 11 and a bit years ago....LOL
It could have very easily been a menstrual problem where she bled on and off during the month which turned into years. There are women who experience 2 to 3 week bleeding  cycles.

One of the laws in the Old Testament specifically states men are not to lie down together as they would with a woman it's an abomination but so is tattoos and wearing mixed fabric clothing and cutting your hair. Considering that Christians do all these things and they're not sins says to me that the reason homosexuality persist as a heinous sin is because most people in general will not commit that sin it's easy to pass judgment on if you're straight and you're never going to be gay you're never going to violate that so it must still be wrong it's b*******.

How rude of you to call homophobia b*******.

This is God's agenda we're talking about. God made some of us gay so he could sadistically watch us struggle. It's a test and only those with enough faith and determination will orgasm over the correct sex.

God intended for everyone to be heterosexual and married, that's when we procreate and that's why God made sex.

God made sex because it's a disgusting, sinful thing we shouldn't enjoy that is absolutely necessary for procreation and that...

That...

Is why God fucked Mary to create Jesus, had her husband lose his libido and told her she was a virgin.

Wait... What?

I don't know.

Bishop Hugh Montefiore  was invited to lecture to the Modern Churchman's Union at Somerville College, Oxford. Knowing it was an open lecture, he nevertheless put forward the theory that because Jesus had remained unmarried, an unusual occurrence for a Jew of his age and time, he might have been homosexually inclined.

Yes, the result was what Montefiore himself described as "a colossal scandal", and it placed a very black mark indeed against his name in the files of the prime minister's appointments secretary.
After seven years at Great St Mary's, Montefiore had both blotted his copybook and worn himself out. He was desperate for a change of occupation, and, as he himself recorded, was not looking like promising episcopal material. However, Mervyn Stockwood, who had been made Bishop of Southwark in 1959, had a gift for talent spotting, and, in 1970, when the suffragan bishopric of Kingston-upon-Thames became vacant, he offered Montefiore the job.

For a person to not be married to just assume that they are homosexual is ridiculous. He was a person who dedicated himself to his spiritual path traveled to spread that spiritual path around to others and probably knew that having a companion was not appropriate to what he was doing or could have conflicted with what he was doing.

Since there is no hard evidence that the Biblical Jesus actually lived as the gospels attest it follows that all claims regarding that figure's sexual proclivities are likewise entirely speculation.

The idea of "homosexual" in its modern usage as a political or sexual identity was entirely unknown to the early Roman Empire.  Free Roman men married early and often but there were no legal or social prohibitions against sex outside of marriage so long as those people weren't other free Roman men or the women and slaves owned by other free Roman men.  The only social expectation was that free Roman men were always tops and never pleasured their partners in any capacity.  Raping a teenage slave boy was perfectly ordinary but giving your wife oral sex was considered perverse in the extreme.  Sex was considered a part of a Roman's right of conquest and raping the conquered to demonstrate superiority  or contempt was normal and legitimate behaviour.

The most admired historic figure of Jesus' time was Alexander the Great, who everybody understood to have long loving relationships with men.  The reigning emperor Augustus was accused on several occasions of sex with high born men, including with his great uncle Julius Caesar to whom he later became son and heir.  Julius himself famously tolerated his own legions singing songs about Caesar's fondness for buggering his soldiers.  Male on male sex just wasn't nearly as scandalous as it would be today.

The literature and history suggests that most men in Jesus' time had some sexual contact with other men at some point in their lives.   Jews had many strong institutional barriers, physical and political, that kept men apart from women generally, very like modern Saudi Arabia.  Jewish men were not allowed to touch or generally even talk to any woman outside of their own household but worked and played and ate and bathed and slept in the same bed as their male friends and coworkers.  A Jewish Rabbi may have enjoyed less freedom to experiment than his contemporaries but even that is quite uncertain.  Perhaps the most complete answer is that even if we had evidence that Jesus was real, any sex he might have had with other men would have been considered commonplace certainly, normal perhaps, and decidedly unworthy of public record.

Well that is probably not true either. Jesus had women followers that he seemed to love above the men in his outfit or so the men believed. And the bible states that Jesus and other the male followers of his,  lived off and sponged off the women of substance in his circle.
Which female followers were believed to be loved above the men in his outfit?
In the Gospel of Philip, Jesus loves Mary Magdalene more than anyone else, and the disciples ask Jesus, "Why do you love her more than us?"

YES, JESUS WAS A HOMOSEXUAL, DUH!

Alright, this is a hard one, no pun intended again, whereas I shudder to do the visual upon this following passage in relation to Jesus being GAY:

“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from Father and was going back to Father, got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded” (John 13: 3-5)

OMG, if we do the simple math in this ever so revealing scenario, then when Jesus laid aside his garments and took a towel to wrap himself, then when he used said towel to wipe his disciples feet, with which he was girded, JESUS HAD TO BE NUDE IN FRONT OF HIS DISCIPLES!!! Was Jesus teasing his disciples with his outright nudity, and did Jesus have a Gay foot fetish?  With Jesus’ “Gaydar” on, YES!

Did Jesus forget about what is to be done to homosexuals as His inspired writings said herewith: "If a man also lie with mankind,  As he lieth with a woman, Both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13)

Unfortunately, I have many other examples of Jesus being a "Fairy," but one at a time is enough to handle, again, no pun intended.

And it appears also that Jesus would like us to hate everyone else except him and that  includes ourselves .

"If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple.Luke 14:26

But then he also says love your neighbour as yourself?  The contradictions just pile themselves up at every turn of the page

All very revealing, Brother. Not to mention explosive. And of course there is the story of the  male youth seen running from a house in the middle of the night that Jesus was said to also be staying at, they say as he was  naked as the day he was born.Mark 14:51-52.  Was he too having his ' feet washed' or was this some other kind of `raising ` ritual that got interrupted?

There's absolutely no evidence that Jesus was gay, none whatsoever,

It's as if female attention and loyalty meant absolutely nothing to him.
He is the Son of God, he didn't need "female loyalty" and certainly not attentions

the world was also very very different, hell by todays standards, every man was gay back then

Doc,

YOUR LYING QUOTE AS A PSEUDO-CHRISTIAN: "He is the Son of God, he didn't need "female loyalty" and certainly not attentions"

Jesus is NOT the son of God, but Jesus is GOD as the serial killer Yahweh God incarnate, HELLO?  When are you ever going to get this right?!  ENOUGH!

“But in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth. By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.” (1 Timothy 3:15-16)   DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW THAT JESUS IS GOD?!

Doc, you continue to slap Jesus in the face all the time, and at your unfortunate expense upon Judgment Day!

Stephen,

Yes, in your post #52 regarding Mark 51-52, *cough,* the context in is very revealing, no pun intended, where this young boy was following Jesus, and when chased because or it, he lost his linen and was NAKED in front of Jesus and others.  As if my passage of Jesus being OPENLY NUDE in front of His disciples, and washing their feet as a more than likely fetish wasn't enough, then when are these passages showing Jesus more so than not as GAY going to stop?

WAIT, I forgot about this example where the GAYDAR alarm is going off the charts relative to Jesus being GAY with this following scenario!

During the Last Supper before Jesus' execution, the author of the Gospel of John describes how Jesus’ "beloved disciplelaid himself on Jesus’ breast as a very intimate and special gesture of affection that was NOT offered to the other disciples!   Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?” (John 13: 23-25) With this passage alone, the GAYDAR hand is spinning profusely!

Then upon Jesus crucifixion, the ONLY disciple that showed up to his death was the one that "Jesus loved.” “When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” (John 19:26). To say the least, this particular disciple stood out, no pun intended, to be a very specific loved one by Jesus as historically shown in the image herewith:  https://qspirit.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/John-and-Jesus-in-Last-Supper-by-Plautilla-Nelli-750-px-500x331.jpg

YOUR QUOTE IN ACQUIESCING TOWARDS JESUS' CORRECT TERM AS GOD: "in catholic teaching, son of God is referring to human sense, which is of the topics like this thread, Jesus is certainly God"

Doc, do Jesus a favor and at the onset when you are referring to Him, call Him GOD to begin with! 2+2=4.

Doc, are you learning to accept Jesus as being GAY as the following links specifically show Him to be?

Doc,

YOUR QUOTE: "Jesus is God, i never doubted that"

Then act like Jesus is the serial killer Yahweh God incarnate, for Christ's sake!  Instead of using the term "God" when talking about Him, use His name Jesus instead, this is because you should identify Jesus away from the other existing Gods at this time of Yahweh and Allah, get it?

YOUR READING COMPREHENSION IS LACKING: "Jesus was not naked in front of his disciples, it is a sin to be obscene"

As the membership can readily see, you cannot comprehend the following passage where JESUS WAS TOTALLY NAKED in front of His disciples in the following "revealing" passage!

1. "He laid aside His garments"
2.  "And taking a towel, He girded Himself"
3.  "And to wipe them with a towel which he was girded."

The simple math "Doc" is the biblical FACT that when Jesus removed the towel of which He girded himself "lastly," THEN JESUS WAS NAKED WHEN HE WASHED THE FEET OF HIS DISCIPLES!!!  2+2=4!

You have yet to tell us in what YOU think of Jesus loving a certain disciple that was "laying upon His breast" at the Last Supper, why?

As the ONLY True Christian upon this forum because I follow EVERYTHING the Bible teaches, I have to accept the biblical axioms showing Jesus being GAY more so than not.  So what if Jesus was GAY, but the only thing that concerns me is When Jesus' inspired words in Leviticus 20:13 states the following, and the ramifications thereof towards Jesus: "If a man also lie with mankind,  As he lieth with a woman, Both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13)

1. "He laid aside His garments"
2.  "And taking a towel, He girded Himself"
3.  "And to wipe them with a towel which he was girded."

Nope, that doesnt mean AT ALL that Jesus was naked when he washed the feet of the disciples
