while Christianity draws on both Old and New Testaments

So what do you call the people that don’t?
Jews like Rabbi Rosends.

God doesn't provide a justification for survival anyway.
There are some that believe suicide is a sin.
Most all would Christians would accept dying in a holy war is to the glory of God. It is a reach to say survival is justified by your particular god. Obedience seems to be a much higher priority.

How do you justify values like fairness and equality with your particular god?
By believing in a God that’s fair and equal.
According to your holy book, your god condoned slavery and has/had a chosen people. You have a twisted notion of fair and equal. Again, your particular deity does not justify fair and equal.
The Bible can be interpreted in many different ways, nonetheless there are some people that would classify themself as religious but don’t believe in the God depicted in The Bible.
No interpretation is required to see fair and equal are not justified by the basis of your beliefs. I can submit the verses if you dispute this.

You'll need to provide a different basis for your beliefs or concede no justification can be provided from the Bible.

Justification by faith is provided in the Bible.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Not as much as it is a reach to call our wars holy, people are literally getting killed over oil, you call that holy?

I don’t need to concede anything because not once have I argued in favor of The Bible.

Justification of fairness and equality are not justified by the Bible as evidenced by codified slavery and a 'chosen people'.

You need to work on your reading comprehension.  I said, "Most all Christians would accept dying in a holy war is to the glory of God".

How is it you're a Christian that rejects the 'Word of God'?

And you need to work on your observation of facts, fact of the matter is you don’t know most Christians to make bold claims about them.

How is it you're a Christian that rejects the 'Word of God'?
I wasn’t speaking on behalf of me, and not all Christians accept The Bible as the “Word of God”.

I'd be happy to hear your views, but you appealed to other Christians. My response addressed that appeal and the basis of Biblical morality: obedience (not survival). Survival (and well-being) is a humanistic standard and not something explicitly found in the Bible.

I wasn’t speaking on behalf of me, and not all Christians accept The Bible as the “Word of God”.
My question was directed to you. If you accept the Bible as the inspired word of God then how do you use the Bible to justify fairness and equality when inequality and unfairness are condoned and endorsed by the main character?

You didn’t address my “suicide is a sin” argument at all, in fact you rejected it and put emphasis on a view you think most Christians subscribe to.

I'd be happy to hear your views
Well first of all I’m no Bible expert so you doubling down on scripture isn’t refuting anything because your argument is one sided. Second I say I believe in God for the simple fact  of that’s how I was raised, and most religions seem to believe that a higher power comes in the form of a God, however I’m willing to accept the possibility of a deity taking another form. One things for certain is I believe in an afterlife.

Suicide isn't explicitly prohibited in the Bible.

Well first of all I’m no Bible expert
I don't expect you to be an expert, but I do think it is reasonable to expect a Christian to know their holy book. I mean, if I knew of a book written by the creator of the universe, I'd think reading and understanding it would be more important than most everything else.

Slavery is condoned: Exodus 21; there is no condemnation of slavery in the Bible.

Yahweh's chosen people: Deut. 14:2 (there are many, many verses reiterating this).

so you doubling down on scripture isn’t refuting anything because your argument is one sided
Pointing out the Bible argues against the position of a person subscribing to a religion built on the Bible is a refutation of that position. Ignorance provides no defense.

Quoting snippets from my posts and responding with trivial comments doesn’t really address the argument.

How can a religion be built on a book when people and their beliefs existed long before books ever did.

I can only speak for myself and He’s made Himself known to me. Don’t be so quick to equate ignorance with nonexistence, many people are ignorant in regards to rocket science yet we don’t discredit it’s validity.

You still seem to be missing the point of the original argument. Many people will claim that God has made himself known to them and I accept this as a matter of faith, but to return to the original argument, if God wants all people to believe in him then he must make himself known to all people and not just a few.

There are more than just a few people worshiping gods on the planet, don't be a dick. What makes you think the gods want everyone to worship them they obviously reveal themselves to who they want to. Don't take it personally you wouldn't want to serve a god anyway.

Maybe He wants His people to believe in Him through their own free will and not His own.

Free will has nothing to do with belief as it isn’t a matter of choice, belief is down to perception and you cannot believe something if you perceive it to be false.

The argument I posted relates specifically to the Biblical God who wants to be exclusively worshiped, so much so that failure to do so can result in eternal damnation … not very nice.

I don’t necessarily think all gods are that intolerant.

As to me not wanting to serve a god you are right but then I have no wish to serve anyone.

As there are literally thousands of religions you are right … apart from the “stupid” bit.
