Please remove the ability to edit or delete your post once someone has replied to you! There’s enough opportunity to dishonestly troll without adding more :)
-->
@Ramshutu
Hi, thanks for the idea, will do. I am actually rebuilding a lot of things from scratch to make them much more proper. Hopefully there's gonna be a preview soon :)
-->
@DebateArt.com
Are we gonna get group PMs?
-->
@Mharman
Yeah, I've had code for it for a long time, I just gotta integrate it properly.
-->
@DebateArt.com
Nice!
-->
@DebateArt.com
I disagree with that idea, there's many reasons to want to edit or delete a post.

@Ramshutu
How about only the first post of a thread be un-editable? If we’re talking something like trolling I think most users would create their own threads for the purpose of post edit trolls.
That way, you can still fix typos outside of the OP, and most edit trolling is prevented.
-->
@Mharman
That's the post I've edited the most, I always think of and notice ways to edit it better just as it's there (this site has no 'preview' tab)
-->
@RationalMadman
Hmmmm. Then how about a preview tab for new topic posts only?

You know how DDO had polls? Try putting polls on DART.

I think we should add a color line running down the side of the page on debates. I remember DDO had it but the color was based on the round, I would do it based on whether it’s Pro or Con’s argument.
I noticed the need for this when casting my last vote. Most users like myself are probably on their cell phones, and long debates often have no marker anywhere on the screen as you scroll up and down. I think having a green or red down the side would have helped develop a greater sense of who’s argument I was reading, especially once I finished and started flipping back and forth between arguments and rounds to ensure I understood everything properly before writing my RFD. It would have also helped me find what I was looking for because it was often hard to tell what round I was on when scrolling backwards.

I think we need to limit the amount of new debates a brand new account can accept/create. It happens far too often where a new account will accept/create ten debates and then wastes the time of the one who created or accepted the debate by never logging onto the platform again after a week.
Maybe something like until you have actually completed a full debate or your account has existed for two weeks or even a month you can only have 3 debates that are active/waiting for a challenger?

@Nyxified
Since I have noobfarmed efficiently to the top ranks at last, I am fine with that rule stopping anybody else rising to my level with the same strategy.
/sarcasm
-->
@Nyxified
Yeah, that's definitely a good idea. My idea was to implement something like "qualifications", which means that you can do some actions only when you are qualified enough for them. We just need to design and think it through properly.
-->
@DebateArt.com
Don't do it. It helps neither noobs nor noobsniping members.
The only people who will unfairly gain will be people who climbed the leaderboard already by noobsniping.

Would it be possible to add a History section to the forum? The category exists for debates but not for forum discussions.

Does this site have ads? I don't think so, since I don't see any even in an incognito tab without my adblocker.
This might be strange, but, if not, I would advocate putting some banner ads on the site. Just some minimally annoying stuff to help pay for the site's continued development. It's completely reasonable to expect from any website and I think the creator of a site like this deserves that income.
I'd suggest on the side of the debates and forum pages.

@Nyxified
I think we had a couple of ads somewhere but they got disabled because Google needs me to provide some additional info and I don't have time to do that haha

@DebateArt.com
Would it be possible to allow the saving of debate Drafts? It's kind of annoying to have to save it on a Docs/Word then fix all the formatting and quotes.
-->
@ComputerNerd
Can you please elaborate what you mean by saving the drafts? Prevent them from being automatically discarded after 24 hours?
-->
@ComputerNerd
Click 'Preview Argument'.
This saved it in the site's server.
Do not click publish argument
Click 'edit argument' or even close the tab.
-->
@RationalMadman
Oh... thanks. Didn't know that was a feature.

Slight issue with the site: Firefox considers the 'receivers' box for comments and forum posts to be a login box and will give me the option to auto-fill my login information with a drop-down menu just below the receivers box. This makes it impossible to click on any username auto-complete (like how if I typed in 'bone', I could click and select 'Bones' rather than having to type the username exactly).
It's a minor inconvenience, but I wanted to present it anyways.

@Nyxified
Understood, will try to fix, thanks!

What happened to the banners on the profiles?

In the Admin Panel -> Participants,
Please add a quick way to ban spambots.
It could even be a button in the Participant's details page, without going into their profile; and further without manually filling in the length and details. 10000 days and "Spam/Scam." Further, it would be nice to also remove their avatar images and about me sections (right now having those still display their shitty links, is a victory for them).
Currently, a significant percent of new accounts are obvious spambots (the user name and avatar images tip me off). Thankfully, they seem to be on some type of delay before flooding the forums.

@Barney
That's a good idea, will do. I am actually working on a new version of a website with bunch of changes, so this one will get included as well. I will try to deliver everything in a couple of months but can't say for sure coz that's of work :/

A search function for forum posts in a topic, would that be a good idea?
Like, we would simply lose track of what we are discussing in a forum topic if we happen to be sleeping on the other end of the globe whereas everyone else is flaming awake.
I think we could type in numbers(#), usernames or key words to filter posts so we would have the ones we want.
What do you guys think?
