No he won't, Water has been one of the most active and 'genuine substance to his activity' players in my eyes.

Speedrace also scumtold purely because the kind of research behind the scenes for him to already suggest a character off the bat for your role-claim implies that he'd been researching in order to fake-claim and while town can put that kind of effort in, it's more likely for a scum-sided individual to do.

I was waiting for him to explain why he suggested the character to you (I asked this very early on in the game) as his answer would help me read him. I still don't fully scumread it, since town can put that kind of research in and maybe he's a diehard fan of 13RW but I do include it into my decision to lynch. On top of that, the person voting him is one of my townreads.

The fact that Crocodile outed with a character that is guaranteed to be town on top of Pie outing means that we, as a town, gain very little from tonight as there is 90%-100% certainty that Mafia is simply going to target the confirmed townies and thus both the death give us no significant information and on top of that since miller is a role, reports from investigative roles are likely to involve incorrect vindication (this is also a theme of the series) thus, we actually gain less overall by no-lynching than risking it. Even the pressure of the lynch and seeing people react to it is part of the information-gathering process that benefits town far more than mafia.

When I claimed my role, he instantly said that I was a particular character. This not only strikes me as peculiar (as he basically implied that he knew the exact links Pie used to connect role and character) but also could be an attempt to ensnare me by having scum counterclaiming me later in the game. As RM pointed out (which I didn't really think of tbh), this could mean that Speed did a lot of research on characters of the show to make a good fakeclaim as well.

Also, when I character claimed, Speed demanded that I justify myself immediately, which was not only strange (as I've never seen town demand an explanation for someone's claims at the very beginning of the game) but could also signify him trying to get an early wagon on me.

Town doesn't know what the thematic split is so there are no roles that are "guaranteed to be town"  Mafia could be the good guys in the show, female characters, anything.  If you know which roles are guaranteed to be town it is only because you are scum.

I actually scumread Oromagi for this bullshit push on me over absolutely nothing, he has tried to make everything I say seem scummy for no reason at all. This scumread is not clear to me because I also think he is the type of person who will be abrasive as town and force reactions out of people for the sake of it, I can't tell if it's truly a scumtell or just weird town angling but I change my nullread, he leans scum for me.

Because the plot and characters of  the show don't necessarily have any connection to the theme of the mafia game.  In fact, the least likely theme division is good guys vs. bad guys on the show.  That would be obvious.  The theme division could be anything.  It could be female characters are scum vs. male characters are town.... anything.  Assuming Ani is town because Ani is a central protagonist is a terrible mistake but I am 99% sure you already know this.

What we can deduce is Croc is likely telling the truth about being Ani because that character is very likely to be included and if Croc was not Ani a counterclaim should have been likely.  Scum is less likely to character claim early than town because it likely locks them in before the thematic split is determined.  Still, some scum will risk the exposure to trade for town cred and some in some games scum are able to figure out the split (or are even given safe claims).

Croc making character claim increases town cred for the moment but in no way should be mistaken for some kind of confirmation.

Again, you very likely know this already which means this is a ruse.  Why the ruse?

Dude wtf are you talking about? Literally what are you saying? How can Ani be scum, explain it. Why would Croc knowingly claim such a main character if she is scumsided? There's be no motive at all to claim her so early unless it was to confirm himself as town.

I don't know wtf you are saying, genuinely. I did not scumtell by saying that he is confirmed town, you are scumtelling by trying to cast doubt on a blatant fact by saying some complete nonsense like Pie is sexist or some shit in how he split the characters. I know from my own character description as well as what Press revealed about his own miller description, that the characters are being assigned alignment and roles based on their general description in the show. This I know purely from my own combined with Press, there is no fucking scumtell or secret knowledge required to know how the split is done. Why would Press split them by gender?

A major town character claim has happened, this means we are wasting our day if we nolynch as all that will happen is that a confirmed townie dies at night, which helped town extremely minimalistically but gives mafia time to use any special roles they have or even to mislead town with results (because since there's a miller and given the show's theme, it's very likely that investigative results are not so accurate).

Yes I don't think that, I know it. Let me tell you how I know it and don't think it:

Press's character and the way it is defined as a Miller shows that Pie is deeply linking characters' role and acts in the show with their role and alignment in the game. I read my own character, description and role, correlated it with parallels to Press being both Miller and having that characters (as well as the paraphrasing he did of his role PM) and concluded without any doubt in my mind that the split is based on the characters' acts and alignment in the show itself.

It was that simple and fast for me, I didn't realise it was a mystery.
