I am going to believe Banana. I don't want to give too much away but my PM is structured in a way where I have my role and justification and character, then its a shit ton of paragraphs.

Also FYI, my role doesn't have a traditional name. I forgot to mention that too. But going off GP's claim and stuff I think it's safe to say this will be relatively common

Ok I am going to defend Banana because you picked Heaven / Hell. Banana picked Diary. It's clear the two justifications clearly differ from yours and what Banana's is.

1. She chose heaven/hell too

2. I am not pressuring her for having a "different" justification, but for claiming she didn't read it.

Huh. From her description it sounded like she chose diary. Interesting.

I guess that's a fair point then. I will say reading my justification for the role, mine really doesn't make the most sense so maybe they are confused? Idk maybe I'm excusing there noobish behavior as just town

I don't think our characters have to do with what we voted for. I voted for Heaven/Hell and got a diary entry.

Anyways why is that a cause for suspicion regardless, I don’t think Vader said it would be messed up if he got to three votes twice?
The role I suspect he has, is more effective if there’s less people who voted for him.

Not that I’m trying to get tunnel vision on one possibility.

I voted for diary and got diary. I thought Wylted said that he did both but maybe not?

Dead players will go to purgatory where the events of this game will determine if they are hell bound and heaven bound and participate in another social deduction game. This game will begin as soon as a predetermine condition is met in this game, if the pre-determined condition is met.
I believe this is where the dual theme comes into play.

I’m not full on sussing you yet for this but I find it odd that I pointed out this line of logic out to you last game where you were town and you still suggested we gather some form of information. I find it extra peculiar because this theme seems so “out there” that it would provide an extra challenge to scum in solving it.
I think everyone will have a hard time putting information on the theme together given how odd the theme is. That's more of a problem for town this game than it is for scum, though. I doubt scum are going to have trouble faking their claims in a game with so many oddities in the character and role departments, so providing specific information on everyone's characters is only going to help scum more easily derive town roles.

If there's value in doing narrowing claims, it's not going to be found in giving too much information away this early.

I don't know that it is relevant. Its 14 pages of his thoughts on the hamas vs israel debate, and the role and how it functions is separate from the rest.
Damn, no wonder it's 14 posts if it's the Hamas vs. Israel debate. My experience discussing that particular topic with WyIted suggests he has a lot of thoughts on the matter. As long as you're clear on the character and especially the role, that should be fine.

I am assuming it is at any point based on the wording of the PM. but I asked to clarify
Alright.

I agree, this seems common, my role included.

Regarding what we voted for, I don’t think it matters…

I joined half in joke voting for Skibidi Toilet after the game was already full. And I was meaning to fake claim Camera Toilet no matter what (even if I got assigned that)… Then the PM came and no connection… I was going to do it anyways and say Wylted wrote a diary entry about watching that show, but I got a little busy with a date, and I can see now it’d be a Red Herring which would hurt towns analysis.

Sadly, my role PM has nothing to do with the masterpiece of cinematic art that Skibidi Toilet.

A few reads:

I'm not really reading anything into Banana telling us that she got a lot of posts. I'd be surprised if WyIted was less verbose describing scum characters, so it's not really about length. However, her choice to start by mentioning it comes off as townie. It's an odd place to start if you're scum, particularly since Banana would have likely been looking at a Discord post and not a set of PMs.

As for GP's claim, I buy that it's real because I just straight up cannot see GP fake claiming a term like carcinization and a role like Crab God with an unknown effect. I'm inclined to townread it as well, though nothing about the role indicates affiliation and GP proved last game that he's just as likely to claim his role (at least in part) as scum as he is as town. I don't get why he VTL'd Banana and he didn't explain, but impulsive votes are often his bread and butter.

Vader's partial reveal of his role in an effort to activate it comes off as townie. Confirming his role may or may not indicate his affiliation (the non-traditional nature of it suggests it won't be that clear), but at least for now, I'm reading the effort as more likely to be town than scum. His responses so far haven't shaken that.

I'll provide more reads as the DP goes on, but I wanted to start somewhere.

Last thought for now:

There's been some discussion of how the roles are split between the themes of diary entries and heaven/hell. I'll say that my character covers something to which WyIted clearly applies his own views, which suggests a diary entry and does match my sign-up. Not sure if they necessarily have to match what you signed up as or if WyIted split the field up equally.

I’ll take that to mean you don’t see the relevance. I’ve been trying to rack my brain for reasons why you’d want to hold off until the end of the DP to give whatever information it is that you have. I had some not fully fleshed out theory that maybe there was some stipulation where you could only say in twilight, or were informed of something at a certain point in the DP, but not immediately.

Anyway your answer is probably a “no” on that theory… which tbh was pretty low odds but I wanted to check.

So why give the information at the end of the DP and not now? People are gonna know going into the night phase, and I think it’s better for town to know while daylight is out. What utility could there possibly be in waiting to give such information?

There’s utility cause only I know the information. Until I reveal it, scum are forced to react/post blindly. It leaves them vulnerable to making mistakes. I’ll reveal my info when I see fit or towards the end of the DP, whichever comes first.

If Pie knows something we don’t and has a secret play, it gives him plenty of insight into Vader, since Pie might conclude Vader is doing something similar.

It is for this reason that I sense some genuineness in Pie’s behavior- he seemed quick to believe Vader and I’ve been thinking some people have been way too quick to believe some things some people have claimed.

For clarification, being quick to believe Vader was one point against Pie in my mind. He gets an exemption from that point for the above reason.
