Correct, the Father is the holy Spirit.
Yes so if you agree with the trinity than why are you trying to argue against it?

If you can agree that  the father the son and the holy ghost are all God than what's your issue?

Mall just wants to know if the trinity doctrine can be defended.
All things lead to the Trinity.
1 John 5:7
There are three in heaven who prove it is true. They are the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one.

The issue is denying the Father being the holy Ghost. Now if you want to call that trinity, by your words you're justified and by them you're also condemned .

Yes, despite them completely unique and separate they are also the exact same. It's a concept too complex and bug for the human mind, it's like writing in binary instead of how we are now. It's not something humans can do and stupid to try. You only need to know that both entities are completely their own being while also being non separate being that are not unique.

Mall raises his own issue with the Trinity.

Many folks that believe in the Trinity say the Father is not the holy Spirit.

They go from 1 John 5:7 to Jesus in the water at the baptism saying the Father was just in heaven and the holy Spirit descended.

There is only one spirit, which is holy and the Father according to the scriptures. The only separation is the distinct wording or titles.

Correct. There is only one spirit. However there is also only 3 spirits that are that one spirit

Is the Holy Spirit and God the same person?
For the majority of Christian denominations, the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and is Almighty God. As such he is personal and also fully God, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and the Son of God.

1 John 5:7 comes after Jesus’s baptism which is mentioned in John 1.

How is this not a contradiction?

This is double talk. You don't even have scripture that says this. The scripture doesn't say these three spirits are one. It says these three .

The three are the Father, that's God,The Word, that's God , the holy ghost, that's God.

Now I said God three times but that doesn't mean three Gods. It's one God according to the scriptures, one spirit. So it's three times that one God is being referred to .

Some where along the way people come up with adding spirits like you did, adding persons, adding personalities, that's all made up.

"Is the Holy Spirit and God the same person?"

I don't know about"person ". According to the scriptures these two, meaning these two identifiers are referring to the same spirit.

Then once you know that from scripture, you drop this "equal" rhetoric as the scripture teaches who is my equal?

God is a spirit. He appears to us as the Holy Spirit.

Person is a personification of God.God is a spirit. He appears to us as the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is clear that all three entities are each one hundred percent God. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all fully God. For example, it says of Christ that “in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9).

God explaining this to you would be like you trying to teach an Ant algebra. The Bible says the trinity exists though not explicitly.  You can choose to believe what God tells you or not. That's on you
