religion = that which is practiced daily to help oneself to make it through every day with least conflict etc.

1 or 3} protect ones self, ones family and ones property,

2 or 1 or 3 } empathy compassion etc  for those beyond self, whose set of circumstances will vary just as our personal circumstances vary over our lifetimes,

3 or 1} protect the ecological environment that sustains humans and bio-diversity etc

4} respect truth always, even if it is sometimes not appropriate to expressed the truth { relative and cosmic absolute }

The people who are Hinduism share a mind structure. They can understand, acknowledge, accept and love the peoples of all religions, encompass them within their mind as being fine religious people. The Hindu truly believes that there is a single Eternal Path, but he does not believe that any one religion is the only valid religion or the only religion that will lead the soul to salvation. Rather, the Eternal Path is seen reflected in all religions.
