Description

PRO CLAIMS:
Every god is a god with omnipotence or some god is a god with omnipotence. (logical disjunction)

CON CLAIMS:
No god is a god with omnipotence.

STIPULATIONS:
1. All "omnipotence" is unlimited power.
2. All "power" is the ability to do or undergo something. (logical disjunction)
3. All unrestricted things are "unlimited."
4. Every "god" refers to only one god.
5. The debate is not in reference to a "maximally" omnipotent god.

DOMAIN OF DISCOURSE:
Domain of discourse is reality with one god.

* In the opening statements, CON utilizes the geometrical style to demonstrate a claim while closely implementing formal logic. The history of debates that CON has will show examples of the geometrical style.

1 Definitions
1. All omnipotence is unlimited power.
2. All power is the ability to do or undergo something.
Explanation. The above definition is a logical disjunction.
3. Every unrestricted thing is unlimited.
2 Axioms
1. If every god is a god that can be restricted, then no god is a god with omnipotence.
2. If every god is a god with unrestricted ability to do or undergo something, then
every god is a god with unrestricted ability to undergo limited power.
3. If every god is a god with unrestricted ability to undergo limited power, then every
god is a god that can be restricted.
3 Propositions
Proposition 1. IF EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE, THEN EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH UNRESTRICTED POWER.
Proof. If every god is a god with omnipotence, then every god is a god with unlimited power [Def. 1]. If every god is a god with unlimited power, then every god is a god with unrestricted power [Def. 3].
Proposition 2. IF EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE, THEN EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH UNRESTRICTED ABILITY TO DO OR UNDERGO SOMETHING.
Proof. If every god is a god with omnipotence, then every god is a god with unrestricted power [1]. If every god is a god with unrestricted power, then every god is a god with unrestricted ability to do or undergo something [Def. 2].
Proposition 3. IF EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE, THEN EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH UNRESTRICTED ABILITY TO UNDERGO LIMITED POWER.
Proof. If every god is a god with omnipotence, then every god is a god with unrestricted ability to do or undergo something [2]. If every god is a god with unrestricted ability to do or undergo something, then every god is a god with unrestricted ability to undergo limited power [Axiom 2].
Proposition 4. IF EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE, THEN EVERY GOD IS A GOD THAT CAN BE RESTRICTED.
Proof. If every god is a god with omnipotence, then every god is a god with unrestricted ability to undergo limited power [3]. If every god is a god with unrestricted ability to undergo limited power, then every god is a god that can be restricted [Axiom 3].
Proposition 5. IF EVERY GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE, THEN NO GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE.
Proof. If every god is a god with omnipotence, then every god is a god that can be restricted [4]. If every god is a god that can be restricted, then no god is a god with omnipotence [Axiom 1].
Proposition 6. NO GOD IS A GOD WITH OMNIPOTENCE.
Proof. If every god is a god with omnipotence, then no god is a god with omnipotence.
Remark. Either A or -A are correct. If A leads to -A, then -A must be via proof by contradiction unless -A also leads to A. Which it does not.
