Round 1
Thank you Quasimoto for our accepting my debate
First, free public transit would significantly reduce ecomonic barriers for people
with lower incomes. Because many people cant afford daily transportation costs,
which impacts their ability to go to work and acess their educations, and essentail
service. By getting red of the cost, we promote economic opportunitys for all citizens
Furthermore, if transportation was free it as lead to increased ridership, leading
to less vehicles on the roads. This reduction in traffic would lead to less carbon
emission, improve air quality, and help fight climate change. Studies show from cities
that have implemented freepublic transit show up to 30% increase in ridership.
Adding on to that, the economic benefits extend farther than individual savings
Reducing traffic congestions could save up to billions of dollars in other areas.
countries like Tallinn, estonia, and luxembourg have implemented free public transit,
proving its viability.
In conclusion, free public transportation is not just an idealistic proposal
but a partical solution that helps multiple societal challenges hile promoting
equality, enviromental sstuainability, and economic growth at the same time.
