@That1User
also perception is reality is ridiculously easy to win as con. Your brain's information is different from what is actually seen; you interpret and manipulate reality in your favor. You're basically saying whatever people think changes reality. But obviously dreams are not real. So perception =/= reality

I think your style of argument is more for actual implementation or logic of ideas. Based on what I've seen, you would probably lose in a debate against weakeredge about if Death Penalty was moral or immoral, but you would destroy him either way with actual implementation (deterrence, impact of different execution methods, etc.). With your debate about firing squad vs Nitrogen you showed because you valuate impacts better than the average person you are able to show the problems lacking in terms of practicality. However, MisterChris tends to take a vague overall ideology approach (remember how he compared absolute vs relative poverty in globalization), that is harder for "impact based" ideology to defeat. That would explain why Raisor couldn't beat Imabench with Lion King vs Frozen. Raisor is golden with politics because it's a very widely agreed upon topic where many experts can easily show why you can't like, drill in Alaska, or use fossil fuels, or anything else. With Lion King vs Frozen, he's forced to think about cinematic elements which is heavily out of his league. Even you would lose against Imabench in my opinion. Yes, you could ask, "where is the impact of the 'true love' message in Frozen", but the fact of matter is he could still show that Frozen's unexpected twist, despite its stupidity, shows Disney's willingness to break out of its shell. And the songs are indeed more meaningful than Hakuna Matata or Can You Feel the Love Tonight.

So quick? Yes, quick. Short and quick makes the humor go round.
Oromagi's confirmed lost
With the debate finally over and in the clear, it's safe to say that Oromagi's incredible 95 win streak has finally ended with his most recent debate. We are awaiting Fruit's response and his feelings for achieving a feat supposed to be impossible. And Oromagi's grand speech, if he will give any. We don't know if Ragnar will suffer a similar lost, but there are definitely tough competitors out here.
Undefeatable helps out MisterChris
With Supadudz on a debating haitus, the mysterious yet skilled Undefeatable has taken up good old Chris in the finals topic previously agreed upon! Regardless of who wins, it'll definitely be good practice for MisterChris. And if Chris ends the man's namesake, that would further solidify the difficulty to defeat him. It's a nail-biting battle for sure. Undefeatable's case looks like it might have some flaws here and there, but it's quite complicated to take apart.

It's unfortunate to see the very man who created the DART bard and similar threads go, but it looks like I'll have to take up the torch instead! Yes. I've got funny jokes, humor, music, everything. @Theweakeredge
also, if you were wondering how minimum wage can be one of my strongest topics, despite being so short, it's because I did a lot of research on it for school. Here's my layout
Min Wage Raise Issue (at least 15$/hour in the US)
Pros:
Economic
- $15,080/yr not enough (can’t keep up with inflation)
- “Subsidies...create disincentives”, “Marginal tax rate”
- Not reduce employment
- low-wage workers are going on strikes in the tens of thousands
- Reduce poverty
- Some helps to low wage, w/o negatives
- Increase purchase power
HELP MENTALLY
- Improve mental health, scholar support -> COUNTER, SCHOLAR (UK)
- Reeve + Randomized studies -> COUNTER: “ The most important concern is that it was not a true experiment, because workers could not be randomly selected to either get a wage increase or not. So it’s possible that the improvement in the mental health of workers who got a raise had some other cause.”
- Normal policies fail
- Large population affected
Cons:
JOBS
- Doesn’t reduce poverty
- Reduce job hours, Fewer available jobs
- Forces price raise
- Trade Unions Possibility
- Doesn’t solve problems as well as possible alternatives
- Higher taxes, “Very thin margins”
- Minimum Wages By David Neumark and William L. Wascher, Disproves Economically (gather 20 years of study)
BUSINESS
- Hinders lowest tier
- Teens don’t need (potential solved)
- Natural regluation (free-market), harm of liberty (COUNTER: Equality is also liberty)

since sir Anonymous was doing these kind of things, I thought it would be fun to try my hand as well.
Welcome to 9sk news ed 1, where I will be enlightening you on various things happening in DART community!
Oromagi's first lost
You knew this was gonna be the headline. Though Ragnar is beyond anyone's reach due to being ridiculously careful about topics, Oromagi gladly chose a challenging one. As Whiteflame notes, two divergent viewpoints clashed each other, with little room for true rebuttal and analysis. With only 5k character limit, Oromagi's framework was opposed by Fruit inspector, and agreed upon by many voters to be defeated. Oromagi likely would've wanted it to be the 100th debate to be his lost, but... 95's a pretty good number too. A moment of silence for the rank 1 debater on DART (though he will still be rank 1 after losing).
Mall's race problem
Good old Mall, with his standard questioning technique, has gone up against two identical solutions with two different debaters (https://www.debateart.com/debates/2620-your-proposal-to-the-race-problem, https://www.debateart.com/debates/2608-your-proposal-to-the-race-problem). He questions whether it is truly solving the problem to have people go extinct in order to solve racism. He'll probably lose, but it does bring an interesting moral dilemma -- is it justifiable to kill all of man kind, to resolve racism? It's hard to say for sure.
Bearman's Goodbye
Bearman who got a Baker's dozen plus one wins is unfortunately quitting the site for unknown reasons. We have not yet confirmed the identity of his alter ego. Though a little bird tells us it is DynamicSquid (https://www.debateart.com/participants/DynamicSquid). We will miss the fuzzy bear man.
Weaker Edge's Activity
Theweakeredge has been going crazy on forums! He's been telling everyone to ask him anything, and teach him on crazy stuff, even My Little Pony (https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/5153-teach-theweakeredge-a-lesson-in). Okay, that was me, but still.
Undefeatable remains Undefeatable
It's difficult to say who will win between him and theweakeredge, but so far he looks good. Madman forfeited all rounds, police sheep forfeited two, and he's winning the systemic racism debate. We don't know how long he'll retain his streak, but he has fulfilled his name to this date. We await to see if anyone will break his streak just yet.

If I am addicted to eating and become obese and fail to work out, the normal necessity to life, destroyed my life

ok I'll be a bit more serious and teach you something useful.
One current issue is laws that should be implemented to further regulate self-driving cars. It has arisen because self-driving cars are becoming more and more popular, but users are worried about accidents, with most cases being the manufacturer resulting at fault. As autonomous vehicles and its AI is currently being developed (millions predicted in the future), it is a current issue that needs to be addressed.
The United States lack an overall law that agrees with a certain set standard. There are questions about liability, criminal impact, insurance, and regulations, as an attorney from Pennsylvania lists. [12] Even now, the issues of ethics are at stake, and insurance and lawyers arguing about policies are becoming popular, according to a legal and cybertechnology journalist. [9]
Autonomous vehicles still need stricter regulation and have many problems that need to be solved. Experts are concerned especially with how to have AI follow the traffic law. There are also issues with cybersecurity, edge case testing, and encouraging companies to share data. [4] As automated cars become more common, accidents are prone to occur, and laws must be made to carefully keep them in check. The fact that not everyone has access to these advanced cars means the “benefits and harms are unevenly distributed”, as an expert says. [4]
These cars on their own can only go so far, and some amount of user responsibility is wise to keep in check, should anything go wrong. In particular, manufacturers need to have specific focus on “strict liability”, negligence, defects, providing warning, and information. [5] After regulating the manufactures, the responsibilities of customer to comply with regulation and give feedback should also be stressed. The laws must be created ahead of time, and higher standards than regular cars are important. [6]
For example, the AV Start law gives manufacturers exemptions for vehicles, allowing potential loopholes in regulation, and isn’t comprehensive enough. (“Potential challenges include increased costs, liability and licensing issues, privacy considerations, security and cybersecurity concerns, and potential job losses”) [10]. In contrast, the Self-Drive Act sets up basic standards, which reaffirms the safety of the consumers, role of government, and sets up a good framework for a starting point. The German Road Traffic act details autonomous cars with a better description. They also speak of users' liabilities, in contrast to US laws. “These provisions determine those rights and duties (responsibilities) that can be exercised… by the driver”, Juhasz describes. [11] This idea of customer responsibility echoes back to his personal stance about Artificial Intelligence and needs for detail on laws concerning the software in general.

TOPIC: Who is Best Pony in My little pony: Friendship is Magic?
MLP:FiM is a show about friendship, magic, and friendship magic. It has six mane/main characters who each resemble great amount of characterization and have gone under a lot of change during the entire series. This topic is important because it's good to see which kind of personality and actions are desirable in real life, despite the fiction genre of the show.
Twilight Sparkle: https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/Twilight_Sparkle
Twilight represents all that is rational and smart, but she is also very absorbed with books. Her talent of magic has brought her far in her academic success, but has failed in terms of friendship, hence why Princess Celestia sent her on a friendship lesson quest. She has a maniac like obsession with getting good grades and being successful. She is good at organization, team work, and she has great interaction with her foal baby sitter along with her Big Brother, Best Friend Forever, Shining Armor. However, without the effects of friendship, she becomes very selfish and needy, even becoming evil and difficult to reason with. Her nerdy nature and lonely independence is a double-edged sword, for certain.
Pinkie Pie: https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/Pinkie_Pie
Pinkie is all that is happy and optimistic in this world. She always bounces with fluffy hair, loves party, socializing, and telling jokes. While seemingly good, her hyper state can be overwhelming, and she admits that she can seem shallow at times. So despite all her partying skills, she can be insecure. Merely being excluded from information about a secret party had brought her to an insane sadness that is absurd. And the fact that others may be more impressive to her friends, makes her also feel insecure about her own ideals. Even so, she is the main comedic aspect in the entire show. She breaks the fourth wall constantly and completely warps the narratives. You can find her doing the most show-breaking things, and singing the most songs happily.
Rarity is classy, generous, and loves beauty. As a result, she loves being the center of attention, which can result in her seeming to be stuck-up. Her love of being clean had caused problems with her sister, and led to lack of self-sacrifice, despite her generosity. Her ability to sew clothes is unparalleled, and she handled Spike (Twilight's dragon)'s crush was very well done. Her ability to find gems does not deter her own ideas of wanting a different career than her mark that tells her "you are best at this". With her being the only exception in this compared to the other five, this goes to show just how much she values her personal opinion.
Fluttershy: https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/Fluttershy
If you couldn't tell from the name, Fluttershy is reserved, kind, and a caretaker of animals. She usually had trouble with asserting herself, but gradually found way in knowing what she was good at. Her infamous "the Stare" talked down many different types of dangerous animals, and proved that she had her own abilities. Fluttershy takes her responsibilities seriously as a caretaker, and has managed to even talk down Discord, a spirit of chaos, into sympathizing with her. Her acceptance and forgiving of any pony and any being makes her the peak level of Confucius type thinking among the mane six. The only problem is that she is often kept to herself, rather than willing to expose herself to others.
Rainbow dash: https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/Rainbow_Dash
Rainbow Dash is awesome, loyal, and "20% cooler" than you. She's fast in the sky and she was the one who broke through in her ability, causing a "sonic rainboom" that inspired everyone else to learn their talent. Though she is so confident that she can be arrogant, and refuse to even read books, she is not completely beyond hope. As she exposes herself to nerdier things, she aspires to become the Wonderbolts, racers for Equestria, and also to grow a liking to Daring Do (basically pony Indiana Jones). She can be brash and mischievous at times, especially with pranks that go beyond what Pinkie normally does, but she comes around in the end if you let her realize she needs to be humble.
Applejack: https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/Applejack
AJ is honest, from the good old country, and persistent. She is the only one out of the mane six who declared that she didn't learn a thing and that she was right all along. Her ability to work hard on the farm, and almost never tell a lie, combine together to a nearly perfect character. Especially since the show never tackled Categorial Imperatives. You Kant just do that, MLP. Anyways. She personally strongly believes in her causes, especially her family and her apple farm. Though this can go far in terms of bias. In the best episode of MLP ever, her sister found out that her mother was with the opposing family -- the Pear's. Not to mention she had bias against the bats that ate up her apples, without thinking of why they might be doing this. So even though AJ is down to earth, this can some time cause trouble in things that require more innovation.
In conclusion, you who likely knew nothing about MLP now can judge who the mane six are. You are enlightened. With that, go forth and conquer. Find out, who is best pony.

I wrote a poem a long time ago. Any feedback is appreciated.
A Medieval Tale
Prithee come hither,
find shelter in my olde pub,
sit for a story.
Legends far and wide
none tell the whole truth like mine
Hearken! My good friends.
A long time ago
in a tall tower of night
an evil wizard
he trapped a hero
with no help; all hope of light
reduced to zero.
With a smile quite wry
he did sent his short message
"Send gold--else...he dies"
Along with a taunt:
hero’s face looking quite gaunt
In an illusion.
The town saw it all
everyone shuddered in fear
except one young girl.
Fire bright in her eyes,
knowing she won't compromise,
She spoke with resound.
"When his bastard men
came to town, stole me away
wanting my nails, hair,
make a strange potion
for a haggard old lady
--a deal quite shady:
'gold for agelessness,
cut her tooth--' near success,
he had saved me then.
If you will not help,
I will repay the favor
with no one braver."
Her own mother, touched,
gave her a sleek steel hairpin
from great great grandma.
Along with a sword
Yet little contact in fight,
she rode her horse on
'cross the closest cavern
clashing 'gainst the colossus
"Carnage Crackerjack".
You must understand,
Ten feet tall, dwarfing all man
eyes filled with power
no other person
could have made her feel worsened
nay, this was quite hard
But the road was short
This quest she could not abort
So she held her fort
Cool gusts pushed them back!
Gritting her teeth in the cold,
Yet rushing quite bold,
slashes could not hurt
With best strength she could exert
one last shout! She fell
Through punch after blow,
bold black blood spilled on the ground
As she laid on snow.
--Then, a winter storm!
Even the monster did stop,
For the wind was strong.
She limps to the cave,
Our loyal horse followed through,
Glad she was not dead.
"ah~~" When she looked out,
the peaceful sun greeted her,
Survived without doubt.
To another town,
She sought rest, food and water,
Then she was ready.
Many days later
she finally reached there,
standing in front of
The Tower of Doom.
"Where is the money, young gal?"
"Let him go right now."
With no gold in sight,
a wicked smile did get blight,
and prepared to fight.
The wizard exclaims--
"You cannot defeat me!" as
our hero worries.
With a wave of hands--
along a ROAR! the room was
filled with massive flames.
He cackles and laughs
as our heroine steps forth
swinging her sharp sword--
The wizard smirked, turned,
Ran ahead, locked doors, said:
“You shall live no more!”
Desperate bashing,
Weakening with smoke rising
Her breath shortening
Head spinning round then--
She suddenly remembers,
And sweeps her hair down
The heirloom in hand,
Fingers fumbling to unlock
--and click! It went through.
Coughing and stumbling,
She surprised her vile captor,
But only for now.
the wizard summons
forth spiders, goblins, and trolls
against brave attacks.
Through parry and block,
the battle was in deadlock
until she spotted--
The Hero's own sword.
With a grab and a quick throw,
the wizard went down,
with crazy mumbles.
"HA HA, they will avenge me...
You had better flee..."
Ignoring the threat,
the girl untied the hero,
who kissed her as thanks
even as she blushed.
The town admitted its fault
and praised the brave gal.
The hero gave her
his hand in marriage and they
then lived happily.
--But, not "forever";
the wizard's threat was not null.
Lurking in the dark,
waiting for revenge,
Wearing a dark robe, she sought
For eternal youth
--Yes, it is the truth,
that was the wizard's lover
she who wanted that tooth.

@Sum1hugme
have some more here.
Undefeatable:
I. Invincibility
Alternative Energy cannot be shaken. I am winning from this point alone.
II. Research
Here is in-depth analysis of five different sources of why my stance is superior.
III. Flaws of Fuels
Opponent's stance is definitely imperfect and he cannot win because of these impacts.
Theweakeredge: Philosophically, we must consider the state of mankind, behavior, and analyze from there on, why the nature of alternative energy will not effectively replace fossil fuels.
Sum1hugme: Here are four neat little reasons why alternative energy is superior.

who are you on DDO? your style doesn't represent anyone I know. You certainly aren't Bsh1, Mikal, Roy, or Whiteflame.

I've checked, and I'm pretty sure this is the first vote ever taken up against him... even against Jeff, Ragnar tied rather than voting against. https://www.debateart.com/debates/2564-thbt-wikipedia-is-a-more-reliable-source-for-information-than-fox-news
What an exciting turn of events. I'm eager to see if Oromagi eventually regrets choosing the 7 points system, or if someone counters Athias. It would infer fruit is much stronger than he seems, and virtuoso is stronger yet.

I've seen three of them but none of them have went well. I'd gladly do any topic. Up for a group debate?

I think this website helps too. So taking my anti-smoking argument, Direct Clash would be, individually counter the Environment point with cars. A global clash would be Personal Autonomy weighted against health harms. While Core Clash would be, asking me to show why prohibition is superior to regulation.

you still only have claims and you don't have all the parts of an argument. As one example lays out (https://saskdebate.ca/resources/resources-for-students/basic-argument-construction) :
Label: Bike lanes are safer for cyclists
Explain: Both being on sidewalks and unprotected roads can be dangerous for cyclists. If unknowing pedestrians or cars fail to see cyclists, it can be incredibly dangerous. Cyclists are threatened in both places making cycling an inaccessible option for people.
Example: In New York city, the introduction of smart bike lanes led to a 56% reduction in injuries to all street users. This included large reductions for cyclists, pedestrians, and fewer collisions overall.
Tieback: Because bike lanes provide a safer environment for all traffic it is critical that we form protected bike lanes on all major streets.

You need more information to prove your argument, even with no sources provided.

makes sense. The agent is necessary to resolve the problem of God. I was thinking of a counter argument where God is the collective thinking of humanity (as an agent, if objective morality can exist, then this may be the transcendental "God"), but I realized this doesn't make any sense lol.

@Theweakeredge
also I just thought of something... why can't the idea of "science" be god?
science created the universe: the big bang
science concerns all knowledge (omniscience) of the truth of the universe (gravity, speed of light, black hole force, etc.)
science, being applied philosophy, may extend to the morality and upbringing up people (as we clearly suffer), leading towards a society of good and benefit (omnibenevolent..ish. Not an usual requirement for most gods though)
science constrains all the laws of the universe and is responsible for all actions executed (omnipotence... in a kind of way)
though I guess the problem is that science is an alternating view of the world that changes based upon observation and experience, while God is an overarching constant who listens to few, if any.
