Do you believe the United States should be more or less involved in world affairs?
Depends. America should undeniably get involved in free trade agreements like the TPP (RIP to that) the FTA and the USMCA. But I don't think American meddling in the middle east has been productive at all, it's made the whole region hate them and has resulted in the deaths of many brave American soldiers, along with numerous innocent Iraqis and Yemeni people.
I think that America should generally try to be more diplomatic with foreign countries, especially emerging powers like India.
On balance, has capitalism been a successful economic doctrine?
I myself would classify myself as a capitalist, so of course I would say yes. I know for a fact that large institutions around the globe have cited capitalism a force for ending poverty and increasing the average standard of living. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund come to mind. Likewise, the liberalization of trade has done wonders for consumers, allowing even poor Americans to purchase phones, computers, and shelter. Finally, to appeal to the academic consensus, 80 percent of economists agreed that Capitalism is the best system we could feasibly strive for.
Capitalism however does have some problems, the climate and egregious income inequality for example, but I generally feel like these things can be remedied with government taxation and regulation.

Would you say you are better at text-based debate or video/verbal debates?
Text, solely because I have time to organize facts far more effectively.
Biden or Bernie?
Biden. I'll go point by point.
Trade--Bernie emulates Trump's populism on this issue, spitting in the face of the data and academic community. Biden is a proud free trade advocate. Protectionism is rather ineffective so I like Biden here.
Rent Control--Biden hasn't said anything about rent control, but Bernie loves it. However, a 5 minute scan of google scholar demonstrates the stupidity of this policy. Guess the 95% of economists that despise rent control are wrong and the 2% that support it have found the truth eh. But I forgot, "landlord = bad" right.
Immigration--They both support immigration, I just hope Bernie's populism doesn't influence him in the future on this issue.
Healthcare--It seems like a nationalized system can work and it would be preferable to what America has now, I like a public option more than medicare 4 all though, so Biden.
Guns--I like Bernie more, he is well to the right of most democrats on this issue, not supporting ineffective gun control measures like Beto O Rourke does, but still he advocates for more restrictions which is something I can get behind. Trump is a little too far to the right on guns for my liking, so Bernie probably has the best stance on guns out of all prominent politicians.
Education--Bernie calling for the abolition of private education is silly, Biden's plans are not really groundbreaking or innovative though, he just wants increased funding for poorer areas from what I've seen. Still, he's miles ahead of Bernie on this one.
Biden is the best, so take a back seat with me and R I D E W I T H B I D E N, cause we got a long road ahead.
How'd you stumble across this site?
I looked up "debate website," found DDO, and had DART recommended to me.
Do you experience a lot of people making Canadian jokes when you tell them your Canadian?
Well people mocking me as a Canadian is kinda rare, but whenever it does happen I enjoy it. I never really get offended by that silly stuff. Generally when I am mocked it's because I can't stand hot days whilst I enjoy very cold days.
I'm asking this because I'm curious about how a Canadian would answer. Who won the War of 1812, or was it a tie?
I'd say that 1812 was a tie. Neither nation paid reparations or lost land. Despite this, the Americans should've won on paper. From what I've heard the Americans outnumbered the British significantly on land, although the British had a massive naval advantage. I'll say this though, Canadians are insanely smug about the war of 1812, CANADA DIDN'T EVEN FIGHT IN THE WAR.
From what I've seen most Canadians believe the Brits won the war, that's also what our history books say for the most part.
Good BLT bread already is firm enough! You don't need to toast it or whatever
Toasting it just makes it way better. Tomatoes and lettuce have a good pop and bacon has a great crunch. What fits better with these characteristics, crispy and crunchy toasted bread, or soft and weak untoasted bread.
Why would you toast bread on a BLT? Hard bread is not good with cold and soft toppings!
1,,,It's not hard bread, it's crunchy crispy bread, matches the sandwich perfectly.
2,,,Do you want your bread to be a floppy soft mess that has a flavour which is nothing like the other ingredients?
Do you have any tips for me to improve my debating skills?
Whilst this may not be the answer you're looking for, the answer is no. I don't feel as though I am well versed on debate tactics or that your style of debating needs significant improvement in the first place. I must say I'm pleased that you felt I was fit to give advice in the first place, sorry if my response comes as a disappointment to you.
Why do you not support the death penalty?
1,,The policy doesn't reduce crime.
https://deathpenaltyinfo.org/news/new-podcast-dpic-study-finds-no-evidence-that-death-penalty-deters-murder-or-protects-police
2,,The policy isn't needed, you've already taken a man's freedom, but to please the family of the victim and to provide justice you want to kill him? I don't see why putting him in prison to keep him away from the rest of society isn't enough. It just seems very silly to me.
3,,One in 11 people executed are innocent. I'm not okay with killing people if it means that 9% of the people killed did nothing wrong just to attempt to appease the victim's family.
https://www.aclu.org/other/case-against-death-penalty
So, why do I not support the death penalty? Because killing innocent people is immoral, it isn't serving justice or providing solace to the family of the victim, and it doesn't reduce crime.
I'll ask you later ok?
okay
What's your favourite video game and why?
The two "Tales of Symphonia" games, the second one was a tad better.
I loved the story to both games, they cover discrimination, betrayal, deception, and love, they just keep you hooked and you enjoy every minute of it. Both games are the only games that have made me cry, the endings aren't very spectacular on there own, but when you account for the journey you've had to endure they are the best endings ever in my opinion. The game play is fun, challenging, and addictive, no game has ever captivated me the same way. Now, to be honest the reason why I like the game is because of nostalgia. I've been playing the game since I was 3, wasn't able to beat it for a long time(because goodness are those games tough), but I've beaten both games approximately 40 times(currently playing through part 1, about 1/3 through the game). Another thing was how long the game was, the first game actually had 2 discs it was so big, hours upon hours of entertainment to be had. I must say I never fancied the anime graphics, I HATE ANIME, but because the company was Japanese, and every other game in the "Tales of" series other than the two tales of Symphonia games sold predominantly in Japan they made the graphics anime(the Symphonia games were predominantly sold in America).
What do you want people you meet for the first time to think about you?
Frankly I just want people to see me as respectable. I don't care if people ignore me or don't see me as a friend, all I want is to be regarded as polite and decent.
Best gift you ever received?
Don't really get/ask for many gifts, I got the risk board game though, I quite enjoyed that.
What’s the best gift you’ve ever given?
Never given a gift...............................................................Cause I'm a selfish jerk......................................................and I'm a narcissist.
What do you debate for?
I debate for fun. I don't enjoy debating as a tool to acquire new knowledge, or to inflate some elo rating. I debate countries, because I enjoy discussions relating to geopolitics, if I learn something new, or have my opinion changed(which I have) that's merely a bonus, not my main objective. So, the short answer is, I debate for entertainment.
You seem a lot of older and play some old games
I do play a ton of old games, but only because they were introduced to me at a young age by relatives. I like modern games too though, "Hearts of Iron 4" is easily in my top 10 and that was made in 2016. My 2 favourite games were made in 2003 and 2008 respectively. I will admit that my music and movie tastes are very old school. I wouldn't say I seem a lot older than I really am, in actuality I'm quite immature.
No way you were born in 2005 lmao
I was born in 05, why do you not believe so?
Wouldn't a real weeb commit seppuku? At least it didn't get a cross-map tomahawk to the dome. Give the boy a break.
Gonna have to agree. Pretty common knowledge that samurais are the biggest weebs.
Where is the lion? What is this weebery?!?
It got poached brutally in the plains of Mozambique...Now I've got the cover art of the single greatest game of all time. Only game to make me cry. The lion was the real weeb, got 360 no scoped in front of it's family, what a nerd.
why?
**Play dramatic music** This is the single most important question man will ever be tasked with solving. "Why?", I feel I'm unfit to answer this as it extends pass the intellectual capabilities of the entire human population. I surrender my sword, I have been stumped, I'll never look at the world the same way.
Don't you see then, that we could call anyone in the room the greatest based on how we interpret the weight and form of those factors within them?
Right, and when I debate greatness, we ought to argue the significance of those factors as well. Lets say I think Jeff Bezos is the greatest human alive today because of his service to the world money, and influence, you may say that virtuosity is far more important, so a guy like the Dali llama is greatest.
I was asking what 'greatness' for you in the room out of the people meant.
Some key factors(not in order)---
1,Money
2,Influence
3,charitableness
4,how sociable are you
5,determination
6,integrity
7,honesty
8,service to the community, country, or world.
It is a combination of several factors.
Is greatness like sexual hierarchy or wealth or what? You say you value 'trading power' the most for nations right?
All of these have different weights to them.
Sexual hierarchy is like 0 in weight because it only works if countries become sentient and after becoming sentient, highly value their sexual status.
"Trading power", whatever that means would be quite important if it means what I think it's supposed to mean. Overall, economic power is the most important. Mainly mean raw economic power, not per capita, although per capita has some weight to it.
But in the group of 10 isn't it then equally best to aim to be in the top 4, as that's the same proportion as the 40/100?
I think I'd be quite happy with being in the top 40%, but a realistic but far fetched aspiration would be in the 10%.
When you're older will you absolutely strive to be it?
Sure, I guess it depends on the amount of people in the room. If we're talking like 10 or below almost certainly I would strive to be the best. But, I find it quite unrealistic that I'll be the greatest of 100 or more people. Genuinely I'd just want to be in the upper 40 or so percent.
Clearly, are you the greatest guy most places you go?
Most places=No, there is basically always someone more excellent than me, I'm not all that smart, I'm young and inexperienced, I don't nobly provide for a family, and I have a child's irrationality. I have some great qualities, but in most places, I'm not the greatest guy.
Wouldn't greatness change based on situation and context?
Yes, greatness would change based on situation and context. Let me say that when I make an X is greater than Y debate. I mean observing basically every factor, you could point to a context where the answer may change, but if in most scenarios X is greater than Y, your point would be moot.
Here is an example, X is greater than Y because of A, B, and C.
But in a trade war or a zombie apocalypse Y is superior.
Clearly these are valid points to defend Y, but hardly the whole picture.
Why do you believe that there is a literal level of greatness to all entities in any group?
Not really sure how to answer this, but I'll try.
I'd say a better question is, how aren't there levels of greatness to all entities in any group. But anyway, the factors that make great teachers, countries, and even things like armchairs are different from teacher to teacher, country to country, and armchair to armchair. I could make an objective ranking of the greatest anything basically because there are factors that determine how great something is, so on balance which is the best, the 2nd best, or the worst. In short, I'd say that I believe that there is a literal level to greatness to all entities in any group because there are factors that ought to be balanced and acknowledged to all entities in any group.
Is there wisdom on the right in your opinion(seeing that you're on the right).
The definition
"the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise."
I think there is approximately the same amount of wisdom on both sides. I think that people like Ben Shapiro, Rand Paul, and Jordan Peterson have a great deal of experience, knowledge, and good judgment. On the left, people like Sam Harris, Gandhi, and Richard Dawkins are also very wise. The sheer fact that I can point to several prominent and current figures on both sides that demonstrate wisdom proves that both the left and the right have wisdom. I truly believe that the left and the right genuinely believe what they speak and that both sides have sound positions unlike a debate over the earths shape or the safety of vaccines. So, is there wisdom on the right? Yes, but no more than that of it's opposition on the left.
Overall, I'd say the centrists have the most wisdom overall though. I'd say that if the left had far more wisdom, we'd see conservative beliefs be squashed overtime, the fact that far left and right wing ideologies fail in the free market of ideas while moderate left and right wing positions thrive, prove that both the left and the right have a great deal of wisdom.
Why aren't you a fan of Trump?
Well I said I wasn't a huge fan of Trump, not that I wasn't a fan, but boy do I have problems with him. Economically I agree with him on tax rates but he is just as unfrugal as Obama, sure the GDP is increasing more under Trump but it's easy to boost the GDP when you spend like a lunatic. We also exaggerate his economic success. I don't like his rhetoric about Muslims and his travel ban on particular Muslim nations, it only stirs the fire and gives Islamic terrorists more of a reason to hate America. I don't like how he hasn't released his tax returns although I doubt there is some silver bullet in there and I'm aware he isn't obligated to release them.
Undeniably my biggest problem is his spending.
I actually like Trump though, but lets just say I'd prefer Mitt Romney to be in the oval office.
here is the GDP growth overtime Orange man bad doing good------
2009-2010=543 billion$
2010-2011=551 billion$
2011-2012=654 billion$
2012-2013=588 billion$
2013-2014-=737 billion$
2014-2015=697 billion$
2015-2016=488 billion$
Orange man starts-------
2016-2017=778 billion$
2017-2018= 1.01 TRILLION
Took a lot of math but it was worth it.

WHY ARE YOU AN ATHEIST
I don't see much compelling evidence of gods existence, I've listened to Christians like Jordan Peterson, and atheists like Sam Harris. It's far more probable from what I've seen that god doesn't exist. However, I still believe humans want to believe in something no matter what it is, African tribes, first nation tribes, and nations from every corner of the Earth believe in a god, why isn't there consensus I wonder? What makes somebody believe they're right and everybody else is wrong.
How did you get interested in History and Military?
Well when I was in grade 4 my dad started talking about Geopolitics and hooked me up with the best ww2 documentary eveeerr, called Soviet Storm. After my WW2 phase I moved toward the cold war. That's when I got interested in Geopolitics, because my dad gave me a very pro America perspective. So, I started researching dirt on Russia and then I was all into Geopolitical rivalries and queries. I've toned back my views on Russia over the years though.
