Literally the opposite of what I said.
Extensions are very common and frequent in mafia games, so this is ridiculous. If I'd have quit every time I was scum and screwed over by an extension, my scum w/l record would be much lower.

To be clear, this isn't about a villain being lynched. We accepted that the moment both Type1 turned out to be a hider, and had Grey followed me as planned. Three whole days to lynch Pie after that, which we were fine with.
So your entire strategy to win as mafia is to hope town has too many lazy or inactives to ever pull a lynch off? I think your time is better off re-evaluating your scum play then blaming the mod for a common extension. I encourage extensions even if they dont benefit me. I asked for one last day phase when I was still a likely lynch candidate lol

From my behavior it was obvious Ragnar and BM were my teammates. Plus I’m guessing there’s a doctor and a cop out there.
Did anyone actually say your behavior indicated them if you flipped scum? I would not have made that conclusion. Though I already suspected bearman, ragnar wasn't really on my radar. Can't comment about what the roles are until supa posts his endgame but with a tracker the likelihood of an every night cop or doc is kind of lower.

You guys were much better off than you probably thought. Kill any of me, misterchris, or oro off, and you got a bunch of bandwagoners to follow your whim left haha. Even then I don't think I would have had much luck pursuing a lynch on ragnar (and I didn't really scum read him either, niether did chris). You could have easily pulled this off. Also you had me and croc as potential mislynches thanks to oro. dafuq

Am I alone here in thinking the backlash towards supa is unprecedented? I think if some of you played on mafiascum you would care less for extensions. Also pretty sure mods on DDO have granted extensions before without consulting scum teams. It's happened to me multiple times as scum, and I just bear through it.

When I was targeted from the start?
The start of this day phase I mean.
The theme was Good vs Evil cause all three of our characters were bad guys. We still pushed past that and quite well if I might add.
Kind of? I mean when we lynched speed, we knew he was kind of a grey character though, so it didn't straight up tell us that bad characters weren't potentially town.
At some point we had to rely on inactives. 3 days is a long time. The time constraints were given. They should’ve been echoed much much earlier not last minute - that’s the main problem.
It's highly debateable that 3 days is a long time. Status qou, sure. But after playing 1 week long phases on mafia scum, my view has changed. I agree I should have echoed the extension earlier, and I was planning on it when I got home from work, but was so dog tired I passed out. That said I still don't think an extension qualifies as mod abuse, and again I don't think an entire scum strategy should depend on time constraints.

It's not always been this bandwagoney. In fact we need more players like you playing to get rid of that, which is why I was more willing to get lynched last day phase when you felt things were getting too toxic. I personally didn't think it was all that toxic, sometimes games get a little passionate and argumentative, but that's all part of the fun lol. We just need to encourage some of the younger crowd to put in more of an effort. I give supa crap all the time, but I will grant him that he participates a lot more than he used to. We need to encourage that with players like skittlez, croc and bearman as well.

I know it was and you know it was too. I don’t think town should be rewarded for it and you generally agreed with that sentiment to the best of my knowledge.
The frustrating thing is that there are a multitude of lazy players now. Considering the majority are likely to be town in any circumstance, it is going to make games naturally mafia sided. Also if a strategy to win requires banking on towns inactivity, is that really a rewarding win?

I know y’all did. And I survived till the end until Supa decided to extend it rewarding a lazy town.
I was gonna give supa some major sh1t if he didn't grant us an extension lol. I actually expected him to deny my request and was going to rant about how silly it is to end the phase in the morning when most people don't get on until the afternoon to the evening. I myself am rarely on at this time.

It was supposed to end at 8AM but he extended it to 11AM from the beginning which was fine with us. But then he extended it to 1. The whole point of that DP for us was for me not to get lynched at any cost. Supa was actively helping town. He didn’t even bother asking us whether we supported it or not. Not even a courtesy
Mods on mafia scum force extensions without asking players all the time. It happened in the game me and mikal were scum in and it sucked but we still pulled it off. You yourself admit the activity was lacking... I think extensions are okay. Especially considering the majority of the posts in this phase happened between me and misterchris.

No we resign. Supa was mod interfering af. If you guys didn't get an extension, Pie wouldn't have been lynched, and we would've probably won.
As someone who has accused supa of mod interfering in the past, I'll actually defend him on this one. Ending the day phase in the morning was absolutely unfair and is extremely likely to end in a no lynch. Mods grant extensions all the time. If there is 3 of you you still had good chances of winning. I was even starting to severely doubt my read on misterchris, and even if I didn't I was going to have a hard time convincing the rest of town. Ya'll shouldn't have quit. This leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Hmm... I think if I was in your shoes then I might have fake claimed as town. Though for you not to get flamed at, you would have to do it really well. But I guess if it backfired you wouldn't really be much worse off. It's risky, but yeah your character and role circumstances created a sketchy scenario.

Btw if you actually are town here, I think you played well. Only thing I would be confused about if you are town is why you claimed soldier. That is what initially got me set on my bus conspiracy theory with ragnar. Claiming that role makes it useless, and if you had said something like "I am a power role and don't feel comfortable claiming", I'd probably have suggested we lynch elsewhere. If you are town no way mafia leaves you alive during lylo. Here's hoping you were scum, but your "whelp" makes me feel uneasy.

I think croc is techincally more active than oro, though at least when oro posts he generally posts more than one liners so it appears he is more contributive than he really is often times. Skittlez is slightly more active than normal I am noticing yet in the larger scheme of things not all that active. Grey is grey, but still more active than usual, though contributive is debateable. Bearman has been active but his posts have been short quirks, I am not sure I would classify as particularly helpful.

I feel like that’s the problem. His behavior is anti-town no matter what affiliation he is. But the main factor pulling me towards his lynch is the fact that he’s the most optimal person to claim mimic if he’s the role cop because he can feign ignorance at will. And it’s working imo. 15 minutes even if you do nothing is not much to ask especially with summaries provided.
I understand your frustration with inactivity; It's what I was whining to speed about for the last part of dp1. However there are plenty others guilty of the same

I would say he’s probably a fake claim at that point. His behavior just seems anti-town to me. Plus characters don’t really mean much unless we know the theme. He could very be Kakashi and scum, especially if the town was on a tangent about good vs evil, it would’ve been safe to just claim his real character as scum
Is he generally active and contributive as town? He was town in stormlight archives and wasn't active there. And last game didn't really count since I CC'ed him.

Oh sorry I didn’t see it, but I already answered this - Croc. His play is just anti-town. He claims he doesn’t have have time to read it but it takes 15 minutes, if that. Not to mention the summary posts by Chris and Oro and Ragnar. His excuse doesn’t make sense to me but it’s an excuse people are likely to believe because he’s, well, Croc. I still think he role copped you and is just feigning ignorance, just lurking around
I think it's a fair read. If croc is scum though, then kakashi was definitely a fake claim, he is more of a main character than most of the claims so far and claiming him would have been high risk considering how many unclaimed we have to potentially CC him. Also he soft claimed it in DP1 I think. Isn't that when he said he was naruto's teacher? Either a really strong fake claim or he's telling the truth.

If we believe Croc he is now a VANILLA and won't be getting any results for the rest of this game.If we don't believe Croc's claim, then why should we care what results he might offer next round and why wouldn't RB'ing likely scum be a good idea?
If he can't mimic futrher, than roleblocking him is fine. I guess I don't understand how the role works.
I am still super suspicious of Pattern and the Croc/Pattern dynamic. I don't think TOWN should trust either.
I'm fine with being suspected, as long as it's not because you think he's was claiming amnesiac. In my mind when croc used his role it town confirmed two people, and I thought one of us would be night killed because. You leaving some suspicion might make mafia think we are a potential mislynch target, so our chances of survival are higher thanks to you.

I in part asked people for advice on the block to gather reads from their suggestions.Anyway, I just ran a RNG with a seed from the first post this DP. Croc did not come up from it (I think I would veto it had he... As I've said before, I want to block someone who is reliably active enough to get up to something in the night).
The RNG talk makes me wonder a little bit. If someone like greyparrot got roleblocked it will be suspicious and I don't want the excuse to be "I told you guys I was gonna RNG it so you can't blame me". I don't think you should tell us obviously, but you should probably use some logical discretion in who you block, to achieve the best results. Otherwise it may be best to forfeit the action if you may cause more harm than good with it.

Get me back on board, why are we lynching Pie?
His character is a villain for one, for two his role claim "Soldier" has only ever been seen once before. It was conveniently in pie's Narcos mafia game. For three, ? It could be a crazy coincidence, but that combined with the fact that he was roleblocked and there was only 1 death (and taking in context that1user's role there is like 3 death conditions), there's like a 30% chance ragnar roleblocked the night kill. This by itself isn't enough to lynch him, but when you combine it with the other two points it makes it makes him the best option for today. There's too much doubt we would have to remove to clear him, even if IMO he has been active and helpful.
