Love Doom 2016. Havent played eternal yet, but ive read/watched alot about it.

The focus seems to be different with 2016 all about charging hordes of demons, while eternal is more about strategic resource management. What are your takes?

Their attempt to explain it involves a mysterious shadow object that is opaque enough to block the moon but completely invisible at all other time, despite being relatively close. With no attempt at an explanation of what it is, where it came from, or why its there.

Just like ptolemy's geocentric model forcing circles upon circles to explain planetary retrograde motion, bad models make illogical and unnecessary adjustments to force data that doesnt agree with them. This is clearly wrong.

Speaking of ptolemy's model, his retrograde planet problem seem like it will be a problem for flat earthers too. I wonder if they have an explanation for them too.

Their own proofs contradict them. Flights on airplanes trying to debunk curvature show a sun of the same size as from the ground. If it was closer and smaller, it would seem bigger as you got closer to it. Its clearly very far. Same with how the moon follows you as you drive.

The sun and the moon are said to cycle overhead, which makes it impossible for both solar and lunar eclipses to be true. Even if one is closer, one 1 type of eclipse is possible without some forced mechanisms. Yet we see both in reality.

The space model fits all observations and perfectly predicts future events with zero contradictions. In my view, its not even close. It may seem fantastical due to the perceived truism of the concept of down, but logic can go down many paths, and only evidence free of preconceptions can point one to the only truth.

Ive noticed many debates here take a long form with drawn out definitions and prefaces. It may just be my small mobile screen size but it seems people do alot of extra work to make simple points. Every premise gets its own preface.

I understand the situational benefits of each of those, and the necessity of all those features in official academic interactions. But i was assuming this was serious but casual.

Is the long form style encouraged? Agreed upon before hand? Preferred by voters? Cause tbh, i usually skip reading those and would likely respond in a comprehnsive, but shorter form. Will that be frowned upon?

I love this show. I get so hyped over it. Do you love it too? Wanna get hyped, especially after/before release? It certainly had humble beginnings, but looking back, this was one heck of an epic adventure.

Super interesting mechanics and level up system, very unique. But what is getting me the most curious, and concerned, is the level scaling of zones.

Pretty much all zones and enemies, and im assuming dungeons, scale to your level. That sounds awesome at first, i can go anywhere... but eventually wont the game feel monotone with enemies always being a set difficulty relative to you? And are they always so easy?

Im not sure if this will help.or hurt the playability of the game long term, ignoring the story writing for now. What do you think?
