Yes, people make fun of how other dress, and look, but that doesn't line up with any statistics.
You think that rich urban whites don't preferentially hire other rich urban whites over rednecks and blacks?

@PREZ-HILTON
That almost sounds like you are pro life. Why are you arguing against the pro life position if you are pro life?
Pro life is "no abortion no matter what" because it's murder as soon as conception occurs. The characterization of the pro-choice movement as encouraging abortion is misguided and laughably us vs them culture. Most pro choice don't want abortion, that's the anti-natalists. They just want people to be able to make decisions for their own health and happiness, including being able to not have a baby if they don't want one.
It would make so much more sense if the right heavily supported contraception in order to avoid the need for abortion, but instead they tend to oppose it as well, and sex education in general. They just hate sex and try to pretend that anything outside of a happily married husband and wife raising a family doesn't exist.

So technically you are correct, but it is not a race problem, it is a culture problem.
Almost definitely. Immigrant blacks from places like Nigeria tend to attain higher education and have higher employment rates than native blacks. This doesn't mean that blacks aren't discriminated against, though. You could likely cite similar statistics against rednecks vs city people, there is both a culture of low wealth mobility, but they are also discriminated against by how they dress and speak. There is both a culture in the black/redneck community to avoid higher education and a culture in rich urban whites to discriminate against those same groups.

How the fuck is a baby one day prior to birth less deserving of being protected from murder than one 5 minutes after birth? Why do you draw the line there?
You know nothing about my stance on abortion, dumbass. I was born 6 weeks premature myself, so it would be hypocritical to advocate for unfettered abortion access to women in the third trimester. My platform is to make access to contraception, pregnancy and abortion in the first trimester so cheap and accessible that it becomes unnecessary to even consider abortion in the third trimester. That being said, 93% of abortions already take place in the first trimester, and only 1% or less in the third[1], so overall it's already mostly there, so long as the right doesn't incentivize illegal procedures and make it more difficult to get an abortion.

I think they also lost groups like the daughters of the confederacy as white supremacist so their numbers should be taken with a grain of salt
Daughter of the Confederacy built a monument commemorating the KKK.[1] They're white supremacists.

if you just look at police interactions as a percentage than whites are killed more often.
You clearly don't know what per capita means. There are more than 4x as many whites as blacks in the US, yet the ratio killed by police is about 2:1, indicating AS I STATED BEFORE, that blacks are twice as likely per capita to be killed in a police interaction.

So if your actions for example meant to harm a child who is dependent on you, that would violate the child's bodily autonomy
Only if the 'child' qualified as a person. Unfortunately personhood is still under some philosophical and legal debate at the moment, so I can't exactly pull of the definitive requirements for personhood. Personally, I believe that animals like chimpanzees and dolphins should be afforded the same rights as children since they are roughly equal in intellectual development compared to adult humans. By contrast, a human embryo is virtually identical to any other vertebrate embryo.

You think killing baby's is a good thing and base this on bodily autonomy but a husband punching his wife is bodily autonomy and certainly if murder should be legal than so should beating people
Your bodily autonomy only extends to YOUR body, so punching somebody else is a violation of their bodily autonomy, not an exercise of your own. Golden rule and all that.

Supremacy is an odd term to use, as it can be used both to assert the belief that whites are inherently superior to blacks, as well as to point out the systemic disparity in wealth, incarceration, social standing against blacks in favor of whites.
To avoid confusion between these two exclusive conditions, let's call the first belief white supremacy, and the second one white privilege. The first unequivocally exists, in that organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan openly support this belief.
White privilege is also very easy to observe in many aspects of the United States, from police brutality and incarceration rates, to income gaps and wealth mobility.

Impossible for a baby to be in a womb. The definition of a baby is that it's born fucking stupid white man.So, the vagina is some type of definition. portal. If the woman is in labor and I stick a knife through the baby while the baby is still in there, then is that still murder?
As someone who was not born through a vagina I resent the implication that I cannot be murdered.

Ah but it DOES harm others when they demand acceptance, tolerance, changes in social norms, customs and culture AND the law to force their inclusion.
Then argue against those, not the surgeries.

@Wylted
am currently working on a meep proposal that would consider all insults against me, claims of election fraud and devaluing claims to be considered hate speech and banned.
1. MEEP proposals are managed by the moderators, not the president. [1] You may submit a proposed change like any other member of DArt, but have no extra power over whether they are passed or even make it into an actual MEEP.
Moderation may submit questions and proposals regarding moderation policy, voting policy, and the code of conduct to Moderation Engagement and Enactment Processes (MEEPs). MEEPs are binding referenda and comment periods on the questions and proposals submitted. Moderation has full discretion on which questions and proposals are submitted to MEEPs
2. Insults against an elected official are not in the same class as claims of election fraud. The President gets no special protection against free speech that is not afforded to a regular citizen. I could call you a trolling dillweed regardless of whether the election was won legitimately.
3. Hate speech under the current policy.
Unwarranted systemic vulgarity and invectives, which may include off topic personal attacks and/or hate speech, are subject to disciplinary actions.
The rules clearly indicate that warranted insults are not subject to disciplinary actions.

Gender reassignment surgery involves removing reproductive organs and replacing them with forearm skin, and open wounds.A nose job, or "cyberpunk type implants" don't do that type of stuff.
I wouldn't give two shits if someone wanted a surgery to remove their whole fucking arm, if that's what they want. Your skin is an organ just like the uterus or testes. The fact that they are reproductive organs means that they are also some of the least important organs in order to stay alive. You have no more right to regulate what someone else does with their penis than you do with their nose. You have not given a reason that these reproductive organs should be treated differently, only blindly asserted it as fact.

Nah. It should be illegal. Period. There is NO need to pander to the mental delusions of a crazy person wanting to be that which they are not. Same goes for the body modifications to become some other creature/animal. Pure insanity.
What someone else wants to do with their own money and body is their choice, so long as it doesn't harm others. There is no difference between gender reassignment surgery, a nose job, or some cyberpunk type implants. They are all equal under the principle of bodily autonomy. Kids don't get bodily autonomy because kids are stupid, impulsive, and someone else is liable for them. An adult is allowed to be stupid and impulsive because it's their own fault.

It is illegal for kids under 21 to drink.
There are a few exceptions, usually for religious or educational purposes. Also many countries are 18 or even lower. (16 in Germany for instance)
It is illegal for kids under 18 to get a tattoo.
Not sure about the rest of the US, but in my state you can legally get a tattoo at 14 with parental permission
It is illegal for kids under 21 to own a gun.
This is the most incorrect. Federal law only restricts the purchase of most firearms to 18, with only handguns (this is a weirdly defined term, but basically pistols) being restricted to 21.

If you have access to fire or heat, you can also bake insects and crush them into a powder, which can be added to more appetizing foods, as well as making it easier to digest.
Most circumstances should also make it viable to capture and breed the insects (such as crickets) with little more than a container, water, and some plant material for food.
As with any food, this does not provide complete nutrition, and is best supplemented with other available foods.

Random descriptor plus the word debate
Just because this is the current format doesn't mean we should retain that. Also a lot of the forums aren't debate so much as discussion so it's worth considering names that express that
Off the top of my head suggestions, I wouldn't be surprised if these are taken domains, but just to spitball
Articulate (It pays homage to the Art portion of the current name, i.e., keeping the art of debate alive)
DebateAt.com This only removes a single letter, and references the one-on-one nature of debate. More importantly, it has the word teat in it, which tickles my funny bone.

Traumas and issues are largely based upon the endocrine system
lol no. Endocrine system controls feedback responses to stress in the moment, i.e., adrenaline, cortisol, etc. These can be associated with trauma, but mostly aren't. Most cases of adrenaline rushes are the result of physical activity like playing a sport with friends, not getting attacked or abused.

If by "innate data signaling" you mean the subconscious part of your brain, then yes, to some extent, though recent studies have shown that distracting your conscious mind with cerebral tasks can have positive effects on the development of PTSD

It’s objectively wrong to think your a wolf when you are in fact a human.
It's objectively wrong to think there is a god when there is in fact not, or conversely
It's objectively wrong to think there is no god when in fact, there is.
You can make any argument you want, but only one of these statements is true. There are, AT A MINIMUM, several BILLION people in the world who are wrong about religion, and a lot of theology seems to indicate that some sort of eternal damnation comes with being wrong, so maybe you should worry about that instead of what some people you have literally never met think.

On grounds of fraud, no. No one advertised life as 100% fun and rainbows.
Child abuse might get you somewhere, though generally speaking your legal guardians have sole authority to make medical decisions for you until you reach the age of majority or are legally emancipated. The article mentioned by FLRW was in India and as far as I can tell, never actually reached the courts.

The problem with this system is that it's easy to defect. It's like how some people choose not to tip even though that's the norm and the servers need that money. Proponents of communism tend to argue for strong government enforcement of their ideals, to prevent abusers of the system. The alternative is an anarchist approach where defectors are punished on a local level, i.e., anyone who doesn't go along is refused service at stores, etc.
Either way, communism simply doesn't work with the current US system.

I always understood it as the practice of experimenting with different forms of self expression to find out what you value and enjoy doing. Some people are lucky and found their passions as a child, but some (including myself) make it to 18 without really knowing what they want to do with the rest of their lives. More than half of college students change their declared major at least once.

I somewhat disagree with RM"s comparison to trans culture. I'm not trans myself, but from what I gather, gender identity for people who choose to transition is far more important to those people than my own identity as a furry. A lot of trans people express dysphoria with not expressing their gender identity through their clothes, behavior, and often, physical characteristics. By comparison, you're not really going to hear about the furry who is depressed because they aren't able to wear tails and ears in the office. I don't tell people in person that I'm a furry, not because I'm embarrassed, but because I don't care if they know or not.
A lot of people use the term "closeted furry" in the same way you would be in the closet about your sexuality, but they're not really comparable.
I think a lot of the reason that I don't feel that strongly about my identity as a furry is because I'm only a furry as a nexus of a bunch of other parts of my life, like transhumanism, an interest in zoology, and a love of cartoon art. If I could get a CRISPR shot to grow a tail that actually worked, with proper muscle attachments and everything, I absolutely would. However, that's more rooted in my transhumanism than being a furry specifically. I would also gladly take a cyborg tail, or an extra set of cones to see ultraviolet light.

@TheUnderdog
In my experience (as a furry), most who identify as nonhuman do not wish to be treated any differently because of their identity as therian or other 'nonhuman' identities. They simply want to be able to indulge those beliefs in their private lives. It's not like they're insisting the government put "Species: Fox" on their driver's license. Maybe someone has, but not 1 in 3. It's no more harmful than those people who claim to be able to channel their past lives, or believe in astrology for that matter. Similarly, I don't treat Jehovah's Witnesses any differently just because they consider themselves to be God's only Chosen People. What they do in their personal lives doesn't affect me.

I think that profit is an excellent motivator for companies to continue develop new drugs. If we remove that incentive, new pharmaceutical research will go down. You could argue that the government could be more directly responsible for new research, perhaps even creating a new division of government dedicated to it, but the FDA already takes years and sometimes decades to approve drugs as it is, I don't want these people in charge of any more of the process than they already are.

I think there's something to the government incentivizing private pharmaceutical research, especially if it avoids the issue of the government deciding it doesn't want to share with other countries. Not sure if that has actually been a problem historically though. And they should be able to turn a profit, just like with any other product, but the current exorbitant prices are unacceptable.
