I suppose two that come to my mind, are A Psalm of David. and The Lord’s Prayer,
Mainly because there's a couple Youtube videos I remember,
Truth be told I don't read the Bible or study it much,
So might be I'm overclaiming how much I like it in post
#77,
But I 'do still like the Bible.
A Psalm of David.
1The LORD is my shepherd;a
I shall not want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
for the sake of His name.
4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,b
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.c
PSALM 23~ A Psalm Of David
The Lord’s Prayer
5And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 6But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9So then, this is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.b’
14For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
E Nomine -The Lord's Prayer -English version
Music touches the heart,
I can admire people who find God a mainstay,
Admire their faith, sentiment,
And the action it can give people.
My mother and first brother, are two people who I find. . . Intimidating at times, by how pure they seem in their faith and altruism,
I suppose one could dislike A Psalm of David, for the fact that even people of faith are killed, tortured, fall despite their faith and efforts,\
But I admire the faith people keep in hardship,
It's a beauty to me, when people 'do keep their values.
Of The Lord’s Prayer, I like how it is encouraged to not make a false show of one's belief, but let it guide one, in their private and personal life,
What they are in the dark, away from societies eyes,
It's far from uncommon of people, including myself, to care more about 'appearance of virtue, than virtue itself.
I like the thankfulness of what is had in ones life,
For one can easily forget the good and only remember the bad, skewing one's psyche,
I like the forgiveness spoken,
The recognition of evil, and a desire not to be led into it,
. . . Opportunity creates criminals, some people say, and I think there's truth in that.
Of course one can complain about the Lords Prayer as well,
Yet we 'do find ourselves in temptation,
Or situations where so much 'bad is about. . .
. . .
But I admire people's faith,
And such situations are not unmentioned in the Bible, Job, and Ecclesiaste.
It's something I admire, but cannot have as I am, an Atheist,
Unwilling to change my view.
But I like it.
