I was willing to listen to her stance on why teen mutilation was necessary, but she kinda lost me at the "98 percent of trans love the surgeries, and the other 2 percent just live on"
And you’ll see 50% of the lefties on here reflexively defending piss poor satire.

How is that bad news for Florida? Stick with the topic.

It's not even that her OP is tone-deaf, snide, arrogant, ignorant, conceited, vapid, incoherent and unmoored from anything resembling rationality. I can forgive all of that, if it's funny. But this isn't even funny. Which is just pathetic. I was hoping this could be funny. Instead I just see what Samantha Bee or some other dyke might shriek when trying to live her best life (i.e., be the most sanctimonious cunt she can possibly be).

You can make fun of people you don't like - very effectively, in fact. But people you hate? Basically impossible.
That’s an interesting observation. The only exception that I can think of is Mel Brooks’ directorial debut, “The Producers.” It actually manages to make lighthearted fun of Hitler and the Nazi regime. It’s brilliant and hilarious. Oh, and much less brilliant (and much less hilarious depending on whom you ask) the TV series “Hogan’s Heroes.”
Because people that still get riled up about Nazis (ie. mainly college students) don't tend to have much of a sense of humor.
I did Nazi that coming...
--> @GreyparrotI did Nazi that coming...Maybe there are just so many jokes I’m not aware of. When it comes to humor, I’m out of mein kampfort zone
I heard another Florida politician on the news tell people to keep checking for updates from scientists and government officials. He actually said that! He really believes people are going to follow the instructions of the biggest groups of liars on the planet.
--> @bmdrocks21I think the distinction you are looking for here is a sense of closure, a sense of what is in the past. Hitler was around 20 years dead, he had died knowing he was defeated, and most of his cronies were held to account, when these shows were made, so it was not the urgent, visceral hatred one might have for the living, especially if that living person appears to be “getting away with it.”
coal: I generally agree.
