You have small hands and an even smaller thumb. Not very convincing.

Any wonder you fold your arms so your small hands cannot be seen. Busted!

Why are you using the disaster in Florida to promote your silliness?

I was willing to listen to her stance on why teen mutilation was necessary, but she kinda lost me at the "98 percent of trans love the surgeries, and the other 2 percent just live on"
And you’ll see 50% of the lefties on here reflexively defending piss poor satire. The other half that recognize the inaptness of the analogy are gracious enough to grant her silence on this matter

Never any pushback

I don't know, some of the radical leftists called her crazy at first.
A postmodernist leftist cant translate satire since satire requires concrete truths.

Hurricane IAN put the spotlight on Republicans depending on Biden for help. This is just the beginning.

I’m excluding Roosevelt, as he is an outlier. Probably mad Danielle is stealing his style

Also why they can't meme. They need a thesis on how their insane world view is actually reality before they can get to the punchline.

Just to understand you correctly here, the right-wing Libertarian or anarchocapitalist satirical outlook Danielle presented in the OP was left-wing to you?

It's not even that her OP is tone-deaf, snide, arrogant, ignorant, conceited, vapid, incoherent and  unmoored from anything resembling rationality.  I can forgive all of that, if it's funny.

But this isn't even funny.  Which is just pathetic.  I was hoping this could be funny.  Instead I just see what Samantha Bee or some other dyke might shriek when trying to live her best life (i.e., be the most sanctimonious cunt she can possibly be).

Humor needs to at least remotely in tune with reality. But when you're trying to cloak your animus towards people you disagree with and that is your priority, nothing you say is going to be funny.

You can make fun of people you don't like - very effectively, in fact. But people you hate? Basically impossible. That's why 99% of Trump jokes didn't even go as far as being clever, let alone funny. They hated him, and just made hateful comments that they tried to hide as edgy humor. The only people that will laugh in politeness are those similarly blinded by rage

@RM

I don't think that the views espoused are left wing. I think that Danielle is fairly left-wing and that only a left-wing person would make a post like that. In fact, I think her post is along the lines of what you said: it was a mocking and deluded 'satirical' expression of hatred that tried to draw an analogy with Republican beliefs.

You arguing with Greyparrot, how is that bad news for Florida.

It has nothing to do with his small hands. That was from another exchange.

That’s an interesting observation. The only exception that I can think of is Mel Brooks’ directorial debut, “The Producers.” It actually manages to make lighthearted fun of Hitler and the Nazi regime. It’s brilliant and hilarious. Oh, and much less brilliant (and much less hilarious depending on whom you ask) the TV series “Hogan’s Heroes.”

Yeah, maybe there is a distinction to be made here more specific than 'hate'. Because while the creators of those shows detested Nazis, they didn't sit around fuming about them. More of a latent hatred, like a recognition that something is bad. All the trials for them were long over, they in effect no longer existed in any meaningful way.

But even so, have you ever heard a good Nazi joke? Like a joke about them specifically, not the edgy jokes about what they did? I can't really think of any.

Because people that still get riled up about Nazis (ie. mainly college students) don't tend to have much of a sense of humor.

I think the distinction you are looking for here is a sense of closure, a sense of what is in the past. Hitler was around 20 years dead, he had died knowing he was defeated, and most of his cronies were held to account, when these shows were made, so it was not the urgent, visceral hatred one might have for the living, especially if that living person appears to be “getting away with it.”

I heard another Florida politician on the news tell people to keep checking for updates from scientists and government officials. He actually said that! He really believes people are going to follow the instructions of the biggest groups of liars on the planet.
Said a person living in one of the most technologically advanced countries(so developed because of the faithful work outputted by actual scientists) about that country. Government officials maybe, but maybe don’t defame scientists like this.
