Conservatives: We support the confederate flag because it’s a rebel flag.

Me: If you support rebels so much, do you support the undocumented?  They got Rebel Pride too.

Conservatives: No.  They need to comply.  But not us.

Me: Smh.

I’m a mixed bag.  Sometimes I agree with the left and other times I agree with the right.  I don’t want to be a partisan hack that automatically rents out my brain to party overlords.  I agree with the right on abortion and transgenderism.  I agree with the left on immigration and drugs.  I’m a mixed bag and want to be treated as such.

I don’t like the term centrist because it implies I’m center on every issue.  I perfer the term libertarian leaning independent.  Sometimes I’ll back left wingers, right wingers, libertarians and authoritarians.  I would say 70% of my views are libertarian.

Because you subscribe to abstract ideas about civics that have no actual bearing on real life.

More specifically, look at the example from the left about supposed "pro-life hypocrisy". They cite conservative support for the death penalty and opposition to welfare to say "hey look, how can you be 'pro-life' when you when X,Y, and Z."

But what they fail to understand is that "pro-life" is nothing but an abstract marker to indicate objective opposition to abortion. It is never meant to mean anymore and it doesn't apply to anything else. But because the left perceives this opposition to abortion as some abstract cause for "life", then they can call hypocrisy.

The problem is that concrete principles do not subscribe with abstract ones like "hypocrisy".

So you like to point out "hypocrisy" when you fail to recognize that some things are just black and white. Concrete right-wing principals has it's support and opposition for certain issues and no amount of supposed "hyprocrisy" will change that. At the end of the day, violence for my side is good, violence for the other side is bad. Us cheating is good, them cheating is bad. The world is biased and mean, and no one has time for this endless back and forth about "muh hypocrisy" and muh "both sides are bad because blah blah blah"

Enter the real world, "hyprocisy" and other abstract ideas doesn't mean shit. Power, objective principles, and real action does.

Your nuts if you think it’s okay to do violence against people you disagree with.  If everyone agrees with you, there would be civil war.  But your probably okay with that.

Being a pro lifer that supports the death penalty and opposes welfare is an inconsistency.  If you think it’s justified, make sure it’s because it’s what you really believe and not because the GOP told you to believe it.

Consider the following: Let’s say the election of 2024 comes and Joe Biden all of a sudden opposes Roe v Wade because of his desire to save children (like from mass shootings but now he also applies that to abortion) and Donald Trump decides to support Roe V Wade if it’s discovered that the prostitute he slept with wanted an abortion and he let her have one.  In other words, the parties flip on abortion.  There was a time when both parties disagreed with their current positions on abortion.  The question is, do you:
1) Change your stance on abortion
2)Change your stance on every issue besides abortion and become a democrat.
3) Relize that the parties flipped their views and not change your views based on what other people say.

If you do #1 or #2, your being a partisan hack and most people would do #1 or #2 because people are trivial thinkers and this is bad.  People should think for themselves instead of trying to fit into a left wing or right wing group.  Otherwise, what’s the point of debate?  If you (a right wing partisan hack) argues with a left winger, neither one of you is going to change your mind because you both just want to fit into one party and are unwilling to deviate from that party in the slightest, making debate pointless.  The only people willing to change their minds are independents.

Trump caused the right to become anti war.  If it wasn’t for Trump, if Putin invaded Ukraine, the people with Ukraine flags in their bio would be conservatives.  But since Trump is anti war, the people with Ukraine flags in their bios are liberals.

That’s not how politics should work; whether or not Trump is anti war should have no impact on if your anti war.  Whether or not Sanders is anti war should have no impact on if your anti war or not.  One area where Trump and Sanders agree is on war.  If you agree with Trump on war, you also agree with Sanders on war.  Yet the right will give Trump credit for being anti war and they won’t give Bernie credit for the same thing because they are partisan hacks (same with left wing media, although corporate dems tend to be pro war).  The left supports the Ukraine war to kill Russian forces and the right supports the Iraq war to kill ISIS.  Neither side cares about the civilian deaths in the wars they support.

Me personally, I’m with you on abortion and welfare.  I also oppose the death penalty, favoring the Stanton penalty for murderers and rapists.  I’m anti war, whether it’s with Ukraine or Iraq.  I want open borders, just like Reagan.

Power, objective principles, and real action does.
This comes to an inconsistency.  If you are willing to do whatever it takes to get right wingers to win elections, are you willing to close down the borders so the democrats can’t get more left wing immigrants and are you willing to mandate abortions for black women to prevent their kids from being future democrat voters?  Or can we agree that how someone votes doesn’t matter in terms of if they are allowed to be in the country?  If you want immigrant votes, give them a reason they like to vote for you.  Otherwise enjoy losing to Biden(who I would prefer over Trump because married men who sleep with prostitutes and commit adultery don’t deserve to be in the White House).  If you claim Biden sniffs little kids, good point.  Let’s go with Bernie Sanders; he doesn’t sniff kids or sleep with prostitutes.  He has some bad policies like repealing the Hyde amendment, but he will save enough civilians from war to make up for that.  He also isn’t curropt; to me that is very good as curroption is horrible.

Perhaps that was a little too brutish. But I would say that some people are less "reactant" to violence committed by their own side, and like to point figures instead. I am sure you have noted the difference in the liberal response between the BLM riots and Jan6.

Being a pro lifer that supports the death penalty and opposes welfare is an inconsistency.  If you think it’s justified, make sure it’s because it’s what you really believe and not because the GOP told you to believe it.
It is not an inconsistency, being pro-life simply relates to abortion, not the death penalty

3) Relize that the parties flipped their views and not change your views based on what other people say.
I would probably just stop voting at that point. But, most people would stay with their convictions that has been hammered into them by media and other factors since day 1, people would probably still vote along party lines but you would see shifting loyalties and a whole lot of confusion lmao

The right will probably never give Sanders credit due to his other stances. One right cause doesn't negate the fact that he is an absolute clown.

Politics should work like that, but it never has and never will.

Yes I am absolutely willing to close down the borders, but I probably wouldn't force black women to get abortions.

Immigrants will always vote democrat, we have gave them reason after reason and pander after pander for them to vote for us and they always vote for the left because that is how immigrants who suck on welfare work

Unfortunately you are correct.  But conservatives like Bryson Gray defended Jan 6.  I also know some lefties that defended the BLM riots.

It is not an inconsistency, being pro-life simply relates to abortion, not the death penalty
It’s an inconsistency; just like legalizing sex with married adults but banning sex with children is an inconsistency (but an inconsistency I believe is justified because kids don’t enjoy sex).  If you believe in an inconsistency, justify it by means that have nothing to do with party affiliation.
The right will probably never give Sanders credit due to his other stances. One right cause doesn't negate the fact that he is an absolute clown.
If you believe Sanders is a clown on weed, abortion, taxes on the rich, you believe that.  But if he’s anti war and you are too, give him credit where you agree.  I do, and I disagree with him on abortion (not weed though; I don’t have an issue with 18 year olds smoking weed).
Yes I am absolutely willing to close down the borders, but I probably wouldn't force black women to get abortions.

Immigrants will always vote democrat
Blacks vote for democrats more often than immigrants.  So you support closing down the borders and possibly letting families die while in their shithole countries because they are future democrat voters, but you wouldn’t mandate blacks abort all their kids even though blacks are more left wing in terms of voting patterns than immigrants.

What if we open the borders in blue counties and build a wall around the welfare state?  Problem solved; no more immigrants living on welfare.

legalizing sex with married adults make sense because they are considerable more responsible than teens who do not have the financial and psychological means of raising a child. This is simple stuff, and it is a perfect example of a semi-complicated facet of life that transcends abstract principles.

Plus, "Pro-life" is just a term. Doesn't mean anything more than opposition to abortion

If you believe Sanders is a clown on weed, abortion, taxes on the rich, you believe that.  But if he’s anti war and you are too, give him credit where you agree.  I do, and I disagree with him on abortion (not weed though; I don’t have an issue with 18 year olds smoking weed).

Blacks have always been 10-13% of the US population. Third world immigration is new, and it has single-handedly turned California from a state that Reagan carried to a deep blue state

Reagan won because Regean was soft on immigration (which Latinos liked) and his opponent said that taxes on normal people should go up.  In other words, Regean was a likable republican and his opponent was a stupid democrat.  But the solution would be to get the undocumented in the GOP, not to deport them.

The solution is to get them to be GOP voters by appealing to their values.  Deporting them is like killing all the black unborn babies because they will grow up to be democrat voters (the black unborn babies weren’t here for a long time).

Jan 6 was terrorism and it’s why I’m not voting for Trump despite being pro life, anti vaccine mandate, anti gun control.  Accept the damn results of the election you crybaby.

That is what we have tried and have failed to do every single time. Bush tried it and failed, trump tried it and failed. It doesn't work. Latinos are liberal and the GOP just needs to accept it.

For me it's not about politics. It's about saving the demographic balance of the nation. Remember we were 90% white in 1965.

Bush and Trump deported the undocumented.  Latinos are going to be pro undocumented.  But if the GOP tries to win them over in other ways, the Latinos will gradually become more GOP.  If the GOP drops immigration as an issue, they will get more Latino support.  51% of Latinos in New Jersey (blue state) supported Chris Christie because he dropped the immigration issue and focused on taxes and abortion.

For me it's not about politics. It's about saving the demographic balance of the nation. Remember we were 90% white in 1965.

Race doesn’t matter.

Biden won the electoral college.  The democrats (except for a few) aren’t curropt I think.  The republicans are (which is why they vote for tax cuts for the rich despite their base not liking it).

While I don't really care if races mix or not (like I see it as a purely neutral thing, not something to resent nor celebrate, a single-race couple's love is as wonderful or ugly as a mixed race couple's love and reproduction etc), I must say that your position isn't inherently racist, it's more like you put too much worry and pride on 'caucasianism'.

I realise that blacks that are proud of their 'blackness' are actually just as much culprits of this and that Asians are actually extremely monoethnically oriented. So, it's not against whites whatsoever, I just see the whole tribalism thing with race as immature and something to move past in the future.

So what if we all end up 'caramel' people?

So what if races do genuinely becomes scarce or extinct? Why is there a deep pride on the race existing? It shouldn't matter but I do understand why it does, I'm just curious why you have a pride in Caucasians lasting.

I am not calling you you a racist here, at all.

What you are is an overly concerned person with ethnic and racial longevity, that's my perspective.

Conservatives: We support the confederate flag because it’s a rebel flag.
A lot of southerners love the rebel flag. I think republicans outside of the south generally share the same opinion as democrats outside of the south have on it.

Me: If you support rebels so much, do you support the undocumented?  They got Rebel Pride too.
They support the flag because of southern pride not rebel pride.

Conservatives: No.  They need to comply.  But not us.
I'm a conservative. I understand why people migrate to America. Those people are brave and deserve a good life. It really isn't personal. Conservatives generally want immigrants, but they want them to appear legally and in small enough numbers to keep America a melting pot.

We even respect illegal aliens. We just think they should have a path to get here legally, and their countries should get some assistance in joining us as free and prosporous so they feel no need to immigrate to begin with.

Me: Smh.
I understand why you feel that way if you never took the time to learn conservative opinions
