However, I do think that I am smarter than Elon Musk.
  • Elon Musk's SpaceX said it lost up to 40 of the 49 Starlink satellites that it launched Thursday.

I've seen bits and pieces. I love the chess crew. I think of them like reality TV for smart people. They start so young you get their whole lives. It's like chess royalty really.

If there is one thing the Canadian truckers have proved without a doubt, it's that the left doesn't care about uneducated workers.
As if the Right ever has any plan for education except funding cuts.  Canada has some of the cheapest and most widely available vocational and adult education programs anywhere and  while its true the Canadian Right lacks the anti-intellectual bent of their southern neighbors, it is fair to say that the Canadian Left gets most of the credit for the many good options available to those truckers who possess the foresight to avail themselves of those options

The horse in Orwell's animal farm are the Canadian truckers.
That's right. Boxer the Horse was hard working but ignorant of the facts and blindly following the doctrines of Napoleon who Orwell used to represent Russian style autocrats like Putin and Trump.  Let's recall that Orwell was a Liberal, Democratic-Socialist horrified by Stalin's right wing hijack of the Socialist movement in Russia.

All the leftists want to do is take the truckers out to the back of the barn for the final solution,
Actually, the pigs (autocrats) sold Boxer (workers) to the glue factory and bought some whiskey with the proceeds.  Let's liken that to Trump and Cruz and DeSantis sending out mailers, demanding investigations of GoFundMe, etc but all the donations they're collecting on that issue go straight to their own campaigns and no money is donated to the truckers.  In Trump's case, up to 70% of all funds donated go straight to Trump and not to any political organization whatsoever,  per Trump's disclaimers.

Today's tyrants have forced a shift in definitions.
All tyrants are, by definition, absolute rulers.  Left wingersare, by definition, primarily concerned with freedom and equality for all.  By definition, there is no such thing as a left wing Tyrant.  A left winger who becomes a tyrant is not left wing anymore, by definition.  Left and Right wing refer to the political division made at the Tennis Court Oath in Paris at the outset of the French Revolution.  Left Wing meant those legislators who prioritized human rights before property rights, Right Wing meant those legislators who prioritized property rights before human rights.

The definitions of words have specific meanings.  Definitions do change slowly over time but they don't "shift" according to changes in the political wind.  If you are trying to spot the liars, look for the people telling you that the definitions of words have shifted.

by actually giving a shit about the concerns and things that harm the working class.
The Left especially in the one party States like California, New York, and Colorado where there is no functioning democracy make sure the people know that the working class are the enemy, and that there is no alternative to their tyrannical rule. No options.

OTTAWA—After emerging from his top-secret underground hiding hole, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave a fiery speech before the House of Commons. In it, he demanded truckers stop shutting down the city, in order to give the government room to shut down the city instead.
"Let me be clear," said the frail little socialist girl claiming to be Trudeau. "Shutting down roads, limiting people's movement, restricting people's freedom, and shutting down the city is unacceptable. It's the government's job to do that. We must break the back of this fascist blockade so that I may freely shut down roads, limit people's movement, restrict people's freedom, and shut down the city." Trudeau then dropped his mic and tried to exit the building, but got stuck trying to push on a door that said "pull."
Upon hearing his statement, several dozen people in Ottawa's House of Commons and The National Capitol Building of Cuba stood to their feet and cheered.
Trudeau is promising to give the people more of what they want if the Freedom Convoy is defeated. "I promise you more mask mandates, more forced vaccinations, and more firings! SCIENCE!" said the Prime Minister before slipping on a banana peel and falling face-first down the stairs.
When reached for comment, truckers released an official statement: "HONK! HONK!"

Calling Stalin right-wing to push forth your wing is ridiculous. Stalin was left-wing, it's impossible to deny that his policies were based on left-wing communist/socialist ethos.
Stalin, by definition, was not Left wing:

Left-wing politics "support social equality and egalitarianism, often in opposition of social hierarchy.  Left-wing politics typically involve a concern for those in society whom its adherents perceive as disadvantaged relative to others as well as a belief that there are unjustified inequalities that need to be reduced or abolished.

  • did Stalin support social equality or did he create a Party member elite and a vast underclass with little or no civil rights?
  • did Stalin support egalitarianism or did Stalin genocide 3.5 million Ukrainians, millions of Jews, 8 million Kulaks?
  • Did Stalin oppose social hierarchies or did he live in gigantic fucking palaces while half the population starved?
Stalin, by definition, was not Communist:

Communism is "a philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology and movement whose goal is the establishment of a communist society, namely a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money, and the state."

  • did Russians own the USSR in common or was Stalin one of ten wealthiest men in history?
  • did Stalin get rid of social classes or was the USSR heavily  socially striated along ethnic and party membership lines ?
  • did Stalin get rid of money or did the Soviets have the ruble?
  • did Stalin eliminate state government or was he dictator of one of the most oppressive, aggressive, expansionist, totalitarian states in human history?
Stalin, by definition, was no Socialist:

Socialism is  "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole."

  • did Russians as a people own or regulate the means of production, distribution, and exchange in the USSR or did Stalin own and regulate the means of production, distribution, and exchange in the USSR, murdering anybody who said otherwise?
Communism and Socialism by definition depend on a functioning democracy to represent the collective will of the people in the ownership and regulation of production, distribution, and exchange.  If the people's will is not accurately represented than you don't have any kind of Socialism or Communism that Marx or Engels would be willing to respect- you just have another fucking dictator spouting a bunch of delusional lies.

Yes, American Republicans have spent decades miseducating the public about the meanings of these economic terms and the politics of Stalin but to understand history you need to go by the actual definitions of words and recognize the effect decades of political propaganda has had on your perspective.

Use your brain, not YouTube to define reality.

Well that doesn't describe the "fuck you" government of Canada at all. There's no equality between the elites and the working truckers at all. They won't even talk to the working class they are so beneath them. There can be no egalitarianism in such  an obvious caste system.

Whatever you want to call them, it certainly isn't that definition.

In fact, it would be a big fat lie to say that the 400  trucks blocking the roads, honking horns, beating up little old ladies, desecrating graves, committing arson, etc  represents "working truckers."  Working truckers  are more vaccinated that the average Canadian population and are demanding that the  government clear out these criminals interfering with their legitimate work and trade.

The largest trucker's organization in Canada issued a joint statement with the Federal Government  reinforcing the use of vaccinations, along with other public health measures, to protect Canadian health care and to reduce COVID-19 risk. In the statement the CTA and the government committed to working together to respond supply chain constraints.  The truckers cautioned the public that a "great number of protestors" have no connection to the trucking industry and "have a separate agenda beyond a disagreement over cross border vaccine requirements".   The CTA announced they "do not support support and strongly disapprove of any protests on public roadways, highways, and bridges" and the disruption of the "motoring public on highways and commerce at the border".

In their February 7 statement, Teamsters Canada, representing more than 55,000 professional drivers, including approximately 15,000 long-haul truck drivers, of whom 90 per cent are vaccinated, said that the so-called "freedom convoy" are "delegitimiz[ing] the real concerns of most truck drivers today". The statement said that the convoy and "the despicable display of hate lead by the political Right and shamefully encouraged by elected conservative politicians does not reflect the values of Teamsters Canada."

As far as I can tell, none of the Freedom Convoy leadership is a professional trucker.

  • James Bauder runs a fringe political website with 4 active members
  • Pat KIng, co-founder of Wexit (that's Western Canada should secede from Canada)
  • Tanya Gaw runs a Christian 5g conspiracy website
  • Jason LaFace and  Dave Steenburg are far right political organizers with an affection for the Nordic Skinhead movement
  • Roman Didulo the "Queen of QAnon" is a social media influencer
  • Tamara Lich was in charge of the fundraising but stood up to denounce the lawlessness and violence and called on the protestors to practice non-violent protest.
    • Pat King now describes Lich having gone missing with Freedom Convoy funds.
It would be far more accurate to say that the 324,000 Canadian professional truckers stand with the Federal Government in urging these 400 fascists to shut the fuck up.

Democrat Rep Maloney, Chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee recently tweeted this:

Democrats' plan to fight COVID is working - cases are down & vaccines are widely available. Now, it's time to give people their lives back. With science as our guide, we're ready to start getting back to normal.
These animals should have never taken away peoples lives in the first place. Never forgive these fascists.

The federal guidance is not likely to change, and at the provincial level most of the reopening was going to happen anyway. Reopening in Ontario specifically has been planned for a while: the west has been pretty gung-ho about opening up at varying points throughout the whole pandemic.
Maybe…but there sure seems to be a sudden preference cascade in the Anglosphere in favor of removing remaining restrictions. Maybe it’s totally unrelated to the trucker strike. But maybe not. The timing is pretty weird and truckers do have significant power if they choose to wield it this way. I wish I could know what was going on in the backrooms

It's ridiculously coincidental that all of a sudden the DNC chair claims that the crystal ball science now points to the removal of mandates.

Theres been fairly steady progress to that effect for a while; Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan are conservative provinces; and may have announced to make it aligned with the protests to make political hat - but they would have done it anyway.

Most of the rest have been figuring out how bad omicron was going to be in terms of hospitalizations; it got pretty bad, before easing restrictions; I know Ontario has been planned for a while since it peaked.

There’s going to be some restrictions eased off - even at the federal level. But most of this has been kicking around for a while, and isn’t really related to the protests.

I wish I could know what was going on in the backrooms

Ottawa police have been jackbooted thugs during this protest. They illegally seized fuel in subzero weather hoping to force cold truckers to leave or die in the cold.

A judge eventually forced the police to return the fuel, but many of the cans were returned half full of water. The result was an influx of supporters flooding the area with empty cans to provoke the police into more atrocities.

Hopefully when the donor class meets with large businesses like Ford, people will stop with the thuggery and start talking since all these politicians care about is money from the donor classes.

One bright spot, the illegal seizure of funds is driving interest in cryptocurrency as the donor classes lose their monopoly on the flow of money.

As any experienced trucker could tell the QAnon quacktards stumbling drunk around the Captiol, you can't just have piles and piles of gasoline cans stacked up in a public place like this:

To all but the very stupidest, that's what's known as a bomb waiting to go off.  When stacked in front of government buildings and on vital bridges and infrastructure that is what's known a terrorist threat.

Police had no choice but to rescue the uninformed skinheads and conspiracy nuts from their own life-threatening stupidity.

  • Ultimately, only 12 people believed in their petulant cause deeply enough to get arrested for blockading the Ambassador bridge.
  • The Ambassador Bridge supports 25% of all US-Canadian trade.  The daily cost to the Canadian-American economy was $360 million
    • Obviously, Canadian Truckers were the worst hit by these unlawful fascist blockades.  Canadian truckers are losing tens of millions of dollars daily to these right-wing political activists.
  • The most common law enforcement action this week has been ticketing people driving trucks without a class A license.
    • Further evidence that there are few if any actual professional  truckers participating in the convoy.
  • Why are losing $360 million a day to a handful of lawbreaking conspiracy nuts?

Excluding GPs obvious hyperbolic edge-lord trolling which I am not going to touch with a barge-pole as it seems targeted at driving the conversation of the rails with a whole ton of absurd nonsense he’s not going to defend or justify - both of the two above seem to have accidentally said the quiet parts out loud:

That is, I liked reading GO and uncles posts as they frame this as the impact and malfeasance of liberals in general - giving up any pretext this was ever really about vaccines - this never was about vaccine or mandates, or “freedom”. This has always been about a deeper clash for which this is being used as a fig leaf. Both drop this ridiculous canard that we all know is nonsense, mandates of a safe and effective vaccine are neither oppressive nor tyrannical; and they have moved into a more generic “zomg the liberal elites are killing us all!“ both in a slightly different way.

I mean, we all know it wasn’t about that - but it’s nice that they’ve gone out of their way to acknowledge it.

It’s this constant and repeated us of absurd pretext; where the right mask an irrational, indefensible, unjustifiable issue they have - racism - sexism - a victim mentality coming from changing hierarchies - replacement theory - authoritarianism - with silly pretext - that highlights their general collective dishonesty. GP, and those like him have to rely on pushing these obtusely stupid narratives as if real because the core reality they support are largely indefensible. The same way creationists rely on repeated cue card lines “why are there still apes”, or “random chance can’t randomly assemble a cell”; or flat earthers reminding us that all photos from space are fake.

The second part - is that both of them are inherently acknowledging the end result of this if people don’t cave to whatever things that they believe are at issue - violent revolution will or at least may ensue. Which is sort of hilarious given that GPs main point is that these protesters are entirely peaceful. This type of thing is as text book a definition of double think as you can practically get.

I mean - when it is implied that a group of people are entirely peaceful, but may engage in mass violence and attempt to overthrow the country if we do what they want; they’re acknowledging that they’re not really peaceful at all; they simply haven’t begun to be violent yet. Of course, ignoring all the many cases they have been violent.

The reality is this all, is that changing demographics, a changing society, and a changing world has meant that conservatives have had to rely more and more on fear and grievance of a specific subset of society in order to get elected; because the actual specific policys they want to push aren’t popular; and the typical policy of tax cuts and regulations is almost solely aimed at helping their biggest donors at the expense of most of the low education, low paid workers. The terrorists, then the Muslims, then the immigrants, then the left, then all of them. There maybe at some level some rational issues or concerns; but that’s all swept away by the wave of crazies and irrational grievance stoking. First government was getting in the way, now it’s literally the enemy to be destroyed. First the liberals want to increase your taxes; now it’s that they literally want to destroy the country. A slow but sure ratcheting up of grievance and animosity, stoking racism and whatever fear they can to prevent people from thinking too hard about what policy actually works.

What makes this doubly tough is that valid concerns have been completely hijacked by this sort of fuckwittery, actual discussion on key issues degenerates into conspiratorial accusations, irrational partisan talking points - or meaningless constant pretext and strawmen where GP vehemently and constantly argues white is back - all of which are way over and above the typical voter ignorance that has typified both sides forever.

Some of this nonsense, is just the same ridiculous distortion and  nonsense as he has used throughout - but I guess the best way to constantly shut down any conversation by people who disagree with you when you do not have a valid position - is to repeatedly deny any shared reality, and just continue to throw our absurd accusations until people give up.

This is clearly figuratively.

Storing large quantities of flammable liquid in the middle of a protest outside the seat of government is clearly a security risk.

The fascist police have blockaded the bridge so there can be no photo ops of the resistance.
You mean that police have removed protesters that are blockading a bridge on the border?

I think the point was specifically that the truckers are causing harm to the interests of normal Canadians - both small business owners and workers in all the locations the truckers have shut down, and actual normal truckers trying to cross the border as part of their job on the bridges that were blockaded.

Canada will never forget where their freedoms came from.
Not from a group of angry truckers, led by racists, who proclaim normal, justifiable actions are fascism

Trudeau declared martial law and the truckers still have nowhere to go.
No he didn’t. You should probably Google martial law - though I am certain you know what you said was wrong and you said it anyway.

It's surprising just how much some Canadians in Ottawa feel the mandates are worth fighting and dying over instead of compromising.
The general consensus is that this isn’t a protest, but a poorly informed group of individuals, much of the leadership with a different agenda, are making absurdly over dramatic and hyperbolic protests and comparisons and whose long term presence is creating unnecessary Burden on regular people - with a police chief who does not appear to be able or competent enough to correctly police the city.

Ottawa police chief resigns in protest of the tyranny.

It's surprising just how much some Canadians in Ottawa feel the mandates are worth fighting and dying over instead of compromising. Evidently, they choose violence to keep the mandates by supporting martial law. And here I was thinking Canadians were mostly nice people.

But I guess American Southerners thought the same thing about themselves while dying to keep their indentured servants. Unfortunately, the Canadian truckers still refuse to serve their masters.

"We are reinforcing the "institutions" that keep Canadians free." (from other Canadians apparently)
-some Tyrant
And he deletes a post again! Deleted post #1

This is just irrational trolling hyperbolae : a deliberate misrepresentation of what’s actually going on, what is being protested about.

While I’m not sure why GP is on a debate platform and goes out of his way to prevent any rational discussion by going to such ridiculous lengths not to justify anything he said - but at this point I’m genuinely interested in how far he’s willing to go to prevent to not defend his position.
