*Sigh

Ok, I saw everyone here bugging about character claims. I didn't want to appear lazy in anyway, so I character claimed.

I know I'm probably dead, but I'll try using my perk before I die.

Yes. Post #240 for more details. I was just trying to get you to be active, a character claim was the last thing I wanted from you, and a power role claim was even worse.

Oh well. What has happened had happened. Just do what you can and cross your fingers you get lucky in the night.

I’m not mad at you. If you keep playing, you’ll learn from past mistakes. I still have some room to gain experience myself.

TUF said non-complex theme split. Think you need to role-claim buddy.

If you are a vigilante, I would say don’t use it,
On second thought, if a are a vigilante, you should tell us so that we can determine who you should shoot (if it is decided you should use it at all).

I disagree that the theme is good guy versus bad.
While Jacob Snell is someone who has opposed Marty Byrde, the main character (making this claim troubling), I can see the idea of a reverse theme split. From what I’ve read about the show, Marty and his family cause a lot of chaos in what was previously a balanced organized crime space, and the idea of The Byrdes vs. Everyone Else isn’t all that complicated, it takes only slight theme knowledge that can be researched easily.

So I think it may be best to hold off on lynching Earth for now depending on what answer we get from Earth on this question:

Earth, what role are you?

Oh, and why.

So the question is: What role are you and why?

Also, regarding theme, Navarros Cartel and Associates vs. Byrdes and Everyone Else can make sense too.

What’s interesting is that Airmax’s and Earth’s characters would be opposite any way you slice it.

Helen is a lawyer for the Navarros, but she helps Marty Byrde a lot, so she could be on the mafia if the Navarros are the scum team or if the Byrdes are the scum team. In both of those theme splits, Jacob Snell is likely town. If it is a main protagonists vs. main antagonists split, Jacob Snell is likely mafia, and Helen, with her somewhat positive association with Marty is likely town as well.

So honestly if we get a believable town role claim from Earth, we may want to pressure Airmax for a full claim.

If nothing comes up we can go back and lynch Greyparrot, but as I stated when listing the pros and cons of lynching Greyparrot, it does concede some knowledge in the early game, and that knowledge seems to be theme split knowledge. While I want to get rid of Grey for the chaos he can cause, I think the knowledge we get from lynching Airmax or Earth is better. A lynch on Greyparrot gives little information on theme since Charlotte is a character, who despite helping her family sometimes, seems to want to get out of her family’s crime business. The Charlotte = survivor idea can make sense in any of the proposed theme splits, so his flip will tell us little.

Personally, I hope ComputerNerd is a vigilante so that we can have him shoot Grey to get him out of the game, and then we can lynch Airmax or Earth.

I suppose we can wait for DP2 to go for Grey if ComputerNerd isn’t a vigilante. The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that a lynch on Earth or Airmax right now is more important than getting Grey out. The early theme knowledge is just too valuable.

Forgot to add this at the end of last post:

In conclusion, I 100% agree if we don’t get a claim from Earth, they’re out lynch.

I think there is a town possibility for Earth there is a reverse theme split, but no claim here is uncooperative and therefore inherently scummy.

mkay so my top town read wants to pressure earth so I will probably go with that. Let me take a close look at earth to decide for sure.

Sorry for relative inactivity, have been doing homework.

Looks like you have the same info I do on these characters, and it appears that you’ve thought more about the potential theme split than I have.

Needless to say, since my vote is still on him, I’m willing to push Earth for a full claim. I’m also fine with doing that for Max. At this stage, I think we’re all reading ComputerNerd as town and, unfortunately, as a PR that will likely be the target of scum, so I won’t seek his full claim. In general, I think we should stop after Earth and Max to avoid giving away too much info to scum, though for theme analysis, we do need more now.

Looking back I don't think badger is suspicious for disagreeing with pie on lynching less active players, just a difference in philosophy.

The request for earth to claim I am going to go with simply because I do not really know his meta but post 78 is odd since we already talked somewhat in depth last game about how this is the way GP always acts and as I said before my top town read (mharman) wants to pressure on earth anyway.

Maybe. My thing is that his logic to me seems so unreasonable and his ideas so unrealistic that I suspect him. If I’m wrong or if his logic is better than I thought, he can debunk me at any time if he feels compelled to do so. I won’t be afraid to admit being wrong on him if I get a compelling argument. But for now, I’m just suspicious of him.

Is this just his "let's lynch people that are actually playing" idea that you are referring to?

I just would like ComputerNerd to tell us if he’s vigilante or not. If he is, I think he should shoot Grey 100%.

Yeah. It makes sense to some degree but then you realize how many better alternatives there are than just lynching Sui.
