I agree but we want to build engaging and active conversation about interesting and unique topics. If we have users who just sit there and scream and attack others and don't make an attempt to think logically, that is why we ban. I don't think there's been an instant where moderation has banned someone for just having a view besides one time where an user kept posting nude photos as their profile picture, despite the fact that this site is 13+ and pornography isn't allowed

Is that the only standard the mods look at when determining whether a user is likely to be an alt? I don't have all the facts on this particular case so I have no opinion on this situation specifically but IP address should not be the one and only definitive answer for several very obvious reasons (moving where one lives) as well as some less obvious ones (VPNs).

Alt account Wylted used to use, he stopped using his main while he used the Singularity account so it was not against the rules. He didn't publicly announce that the two accounts were the same person so you could only tell if you somewhat knew the guy.

There has to be indistinguishable evidence that a certain user is an alt of that users. An IP is indistinguishable, device type, an actual confession, or other things related to such. Mgmt was toxic and constantly insulted people. I don't think I've seen Mesmer do such things yet.

Mgmt was not banned because of that if I recall. He had some controversial beliefs, but he was banned because of his excessive toxicity on the same by insulting members, attack others, and such. Looking back, I could argue his ban was too harsh, but he was not banned because of his beliefs

Whether or not a particular historical event happened in one particular way or another is NOT important.
Why YOU specifically CARE SO MUCH about one "atrocity" and ignore the practically endless number of other historical "atrocities" is a much more interesting question.
