I am heavily leaning Speed as scum because he didn't ask for a counterclaim, which indicates he knew it was a safe claim as scum.
If he was town he would (should) have asked anyone to counterclaim him as a matter of getting standard information. Especially early in the game.

Yeah, I was thinking the latter. Bearman already had a solid identity in Toph that could easily have been counterclaimed. The cop claim by Speed had me somewhat uncertain, but that's a far less risky call than claiming a main character from the series, as Chris said. It's also possible that one or both of them received a fake ID that they used for their claims, but especially as the person that Bearman tracked accurately, I find it far less likely that he's the sus one of the two.

Ok, then why would he town-confirm me?
What I think about the NK is that mafia wants to play it low-key. They don't know their third member and aren't going to kill the person that is very sus. Essentially, they need to choose who to kill carefully, meaning they have to play like town. They probably wouldn't kill me or Speed as it would be a waste of an NK, as most likely I would've been lynched the next DP.
The cop'ing of me was probably unexpected to scum, which is why they need to push a lynch on someone else. Strangely, the way Pie has been dodging me and just saying I was sus eerily reminds me of what he did in Naruto Mafia to Lunatic who was Pattern at the time. When Pattern came out as Lunatic he tried to push a lynch on him but then quickswitched and got lynched himself.

Re: why Speed would say he investigated you town - because if he says he investigated scum and they flipped inno, he would be extremely sus. And if/when he flips scum, it would make people second guess your affiliation.
The question is why would he investigate you in the first place when you're one of the only people to have claimed (and a role we could somewhat verify no less?) It seems very unlikely he would believe that investigating you would be statistically useful.
And the fact that neither one of you were role blocked or killed is also very sus. If Speed were town I think he would be here playing better + making a better case for himself insofar as why he targeted you with his night action and why he's focusing on a Luna lynch this DP.
I also think killing warren seems like Speed would be behind it. Assuming they have to logically deduce who their scum partner is, and they know it's not Luna, and assume it's not me or you, that leaves just a few potential targets. I could see Speed, Pie or whiteflame being the ones threatened by warren.
The only thing making me second guess Speed as scum is that it would be weird for scum to "give up" at this point since they definitely still have a shot at winning. Speed's behavior seems like he doesn't really care. Pie on the other hand seems to be trying to delay things to give mafia the edge in numbers and is open to lynching Luna/you. So Speed/Pie are my biggest suspects right now along with one of the lesser active people. Skittlez and Croc need to post. I'd like to hear more from MisterChris as well. It's good he posted.

Not sure how I was threatened by warren, but I agree with the rest of this. At the moment, I’m more suspicious of Speed, largely because I get the impression that he thinks we’ll talk ourselves out of a decision to lynch him, as occurred last DP.

I said I could see you being threatened by him (not that you were) just based on his knowledge of the theme. It seems like you and he know it the strongest. And you, Speed, Pie, Luna and GP are the only ones who would seem smart enough to get rid of someone like warren.
Maybe whoever the mafia targets for a NK is recruited to the PM if its their buddy and killed if it's not. Either way I could see why warren would be a good target and I dunno if Bear, Croc and skittlez have the wherewithal to see it (no offense). So from those possibilities Speed and Pie seem most sus to me atm. I dunno what to make of Chris yet.

I have suspicions on Pie like I said. Speed doesn't seem like scum, it's just off. Perhaps this is because of the 3 scum and 1 out scenario, but probably not.

True, but Luna said he's willing to test his claim of lynchproof meaning he's lynchproof. It makes no sense to have lynchproof scum for aforementioned reasons, and the fact that you would ignore this means you seem to kinda be tunneling Luna - and you have since last DP.
"It would be anti-Town for you to not claim. I ended up claiming to not be lynched. Maybe you should do the same if you are town" - Pie, post #106 last day phase.
I just re-read it to see if I could find your alleged soft claim. I could not. I also noticed you had a little back and forth dialog with warren. To be honest though I didn't read you scummy until this DP when you seemingly just believed Speed's results. I think it's weird you called Speed a "confirmed" cop last day phase in post #480 as well.
Also, regarding "playing by the same rules"I did with Lunatic, Luna claimed a big part of his role last DP so... it's not the same.
There's enough reason to get a claim from Pie this day phase and we can proceed where to go from there. I suspect we'll be lynching one of the two this DP so it's not like we're going to reveal a lot more. VTL Pie for a claim.
