Ah. Lame. I think a survivor with a "you die at this point so win the game before that" mechanic would be interesting

I'd forgotten that. Let's get him active, then. We need another good player to make some sense of this mess.

@warren42

This shows my logical thought progression in the moment. Are you not interested in hearing my genuine thoughts and reactions? If not, why?
I'm interested in your genuine thoughts and reactions of immediate events, not events long past and invalidated. By posting continuously you're cluttering up the DP with outdated questions and speculation. This serves no contribution to the game, except for others' perception of you. However I'd much rather read your thoughts and reactions on events which are still relevant so I can discuss them with you.

This is a bad thought process.
  • You say "This serves no contribution to the game, except for others' perception of you." Even if this were true, that's valuable. I don't necessarily care about being perceived as town. I care much more about catching scum. HOWEVER if people are able to look at my thought process and come to the conclusion that I'm town, that's an added benefit.
  • Say I catch something I find particularly townie or scummy about a person. Just because it happened last night and everyone missed it doesn't mean it's irrelevant. Everyone else missed it or was caught up with something else. I could have found it. It's valuable input.
  • Where is the line drawn between what you believe is irrelevant and what is relevant? Is what occurred 24 hours ago relevant? 12? 6? I understand that what's happening now is probably more relevant and more important than what happened at the beginning of the day, but that doesn't mean that there aren't relevant things that occurred back then.
I understand this might not be the *most* valuable stuff I'm putting out there but it definitely has value.

Ironically it's only natural that the more I read the less I am inclined to post at such a high rate due to burnout. So although I disagree you'll probably get your wish in some capacity.

I know this isn't helping my case as town, but I actually have like 200 pgs to read of the exorcist so I won't be very active. I will be as active as possible tomorrow though. Sorry.

Ok what the fuck. Lunatic lied to get GP lynched and is 3P so GP isn't Yakuza... But then GP said

That's hammer, right? well played, you got me.
Unless he knew that he was a lyncher's target that's him admitting scum no?

Throughout pages 3 through 6, Supa had been trying to argue that GP's claim was scummy and that it made the game imbalanced. I had been arguing that GP's claim wasn't scummy or imbalanced. The problem was that the reason Supa thought it was imbalanced was because of his own role. So in order to convince me and others that GP's role made the game imbalanced, he revealed his own role.

Yeah okay except he revealed on page 2 lol.

I’m wondering if the theme will suggest who is scum. Right now no one from team Iron Man has been revealed. Not suggesting people role claim, but team claim might be a safe way to narrow things down for scum hunting.

So team cap.

There are 9 townies, how many people were with the captain in the movie? (Never watched the whole thing, just bits and pieces).

Okay post 724 has me leaning slight town on warren. He was basically told to do less work and I think as scum he would have just said 'yeah okay I'll do less work' and went off the tl;dr from his mafioso buddies in whatever chat speed set up for them since the site doesn't allow group PMs.

I'm going to proceed with the rest of the DP recognizing Grey, lunatic, supa, single, DD, and warren as town. This is just one of those rare games where I don't have a strong scum read on anyone yet. I would be scum reading oro but his meta matches his meta in South Park, which I mistakenly scum read until the very end of that game. Of the nulls, Sir is the only one I have a slight scum read on, mostly for defending grey.

You are litterally saying that what you did in pages 3 through 6 caused Supa to out himself on page 2. That isn't how cause and effect works.

Just checked, he claimed lover in post 72 (i misremembered it being page 2 but it was early page 3).

He didn't say the word 'lover' but it was obvious in that post what he was claiming. Same as if a watcher said "I can see everyone that targets a person at night" but never uses the word 'watcher'. So yeah Supa full claimed his role on post 72.

Are you saying that you disagreeing with supa in a few posts prior to post 72 caused supa to make post 72?

I think that was his motivation for claiming. Without claiming, his arguments against GP were weak at best, so he seemed to feel it was necessary to claim because that significantly strengthened his case. That's my interpretation, anyway. I don't know exactly what he was thinking, although that interpretation was what made me blame myself for outing him. In hindsight, though, I don't know what I could have done differently. I hadn't noticed any signs that he was going to claim.
