Not so. Behavioral info helps town more than scum.

What do you have against gaining more information? There’s a reason why it’s a bad idea to end a DP early because we lose valuable time to gain information and hunt for scum.

No, it's only bad when more information would have caused a more accurate lynch. Information is valuable in catching scum. Once one is caught information should be throttled until the next DP. The exception being cop results or night actions that you can't expose after you are dead

The same behavioral information can be gained tomorrow through the same methods so we would not be gaining any extra information here, we would have the same information but just postpone it. Honestly if it weren't for explaining proper mafia theory to you guys I would just vote and sit out this dp. Once scum is caught, any additional information is detrimental to town.

No, you can just get the exact same information for next DPs lynch that you would have gotten here next dp. You will have access to identical information, just the timing of it would be better for town

I agree with your statement. We should lynch oro after about 48hrs, but try to get more information to determine scum. We still need to analyze behavior and such.

I'm getting a vibe that Singularity is scum, but he is new, so I won't take it much into consideration

What does it gain us to postpone scum hunting until next round? We have a 72-hour DP. If we vote now and end it, we will lost time, which can cost us needed information.

I don't like this at all. About the only info you could reveal that would help scum is your character and role, and I don't see how you could reveal that by accident unless you're completely inept, which I know you're not. This seems somewhat anti-town to me. I'm going to read your posts in the last mafia game to see if this is consistent with your previous play.

Even building a good case on somebody is a bad ideal at this point. It allows scum to know who we suspect is mafia, and then decreases their likelihood of NKing him and saving us from a tough decision down the road. Anything beyond lynching ORO and keeping our mouths shut, is what the gambling community would refer to as a negative free roll.

If ever there isn't a NK we have no choice but to lynch him. Until then IMO he is basically town confirmed (plus he'd put his neck into a noose for our benefit). He is sadly a liability, so a default person to lynch; but that there is an easy answer doesn't mean that should be the only one evaluated.

Singularity is probably right about expected values. It still feels lazy to not give all players the chance to speak.

The order to the middle section is just when people first posted. I copied it from my list of that; it doesn't imply scum or town leanings. Oro I am reading as town, so he goes up above the first divider.

In my first forum game here, I considered having that tool to be invaluable in keeping track of things. So the message in which he stated his identity, gets linked, and then another link to the MU site description of the role claim.
