I personally think all slurs should be legal, including the N word, regardless of it's context because I think it goes in line with the 1st amendment. Hate speech is free speech after all. What's the harm in allowing the slurs to exist anyway?

No it doesn't. Freedom of speech has extensions if it harms the entirity. For example, if you yell "there a shooter." in a movie theater, the 1st amendment doesn't guarantee your right to that speech
