And whens the last time you went swimming about the lake to verify that? If you have explored the lake i'd definitely be curious to see the charts you made of it while exploring. But something tells me you haven't done any of that and are pulling that assumption out of your rear.
Piece of advice, those kinds of assumptions are the kind that get you killed. I bet you assumed you'd be safe

As you said, he mentioned the lake wanted an offering. But a lake is just a body of water, if anything actually wanted an offering its not the lake itself, it would be whats in the lake that wanted it.
Alternatively he could just be crazy. But better safe than sorry.

Roberts, Grahf, et. al.
They take Arrabelle back to her camp. Luvash and Arrigal are still in the main tent, drinking and conversing when they walk in. Alexi is off to one side nursing his wounds. Luvash bolts up right when he sees Arrabelle and they embrace each other. Arrabelle tells her father what happened and Luvash dispatches Arrigal with a look. Grimly, Arrigal leaves the tent.
Luvahs turns to Roberts (and others).
Luvash: You have my gratitude, strangers. And the gratitude of a Vistana is no small thing. I grant you ownership of the horses you borrowed earlier, and you may have your pick from our treasure wagon.
He leads out outside to one of the barrel-topped wagons. Unlike the others, there are no noises coming from it and it is locked with a pad lock. Luvash unlocks the pad lock and opens the door. Inside is:
- A wooden chest filled with electrum pieces (each containing the visage of Strahd)
- An smaller iron chest filled with unmarked gold pieces (about half as many coins as above)
- An onyx jewelry box with gold filigree containing 3 diamonds and 3 bags of diamond powder.
- A wooden throne with gold inlay and decorative stones.
- A rolled up rug with an exquisite unicorn motif
- A small wooden box containing twelve unmarked potions.
Snerp (and whoever)
Snerp quickly heads back to the lake, hopping in a boat and rowing out toward Bluto. He is still fishing. Though he still does not acknowledge anything else, he is now softly crying, muttering something about being unable to catch any fish.

(don't take potions unless identified first. I would take the wooden throne, rug, or gp chest even if. Art pieces can be heftily expensive, so we might come away with more than the amount of gp in that chest taking one of them, but we'd have to pawn stars it and hold onto either one till we found a buyer.
I'd be most comfortable just taking the gold, right aroubd 500gp is welllllll over the amount of gp we needed to collect. And having a sizable leftover amount would be nice.

As Snerp continues to try and get Bluto's attention he suddenly blinks and looks around. He looks at Snerp, scared and nervous.

We saved the girl and took her back home hombre. Question now is why did you kidnap and try to drown her? What exactly is in the lake that wanted a sacrifice? Or are you just out of your mind?

He reaches out to grab a hold of Snerp.

Snerp moves backwards to avoid being grabbed(use inspiration and/or cutting words if need be) then casts hold person on Bluto.
Then he follows that up if it works with restraining Bluto by tying him up with hempen rope before the duration passes.
Snerp backs away and freezes Bluto in place with hold person. As a consequence, Bluto falls down in between their boats and sinks to the bottom of the lake.

(Aw man, im not trying to be cold blooded like that. I'll stop concentrating on the spell after about 10 seconds to give Snerp and others enough time to row away and back to shore. He should be able to swim back up... maybe, if hes lucky and the waters not murky 😏.)
After getting back to shore, Snerp heads back to the other group members(👍)
