His youtube account is here:

While I admit that it was impulsive to say, some of his commonalities with you are:

-You both trash feminism with long rants.
-Despite this, you guys aren't Republicans.
-You both are very factual.

As of right now, I like Dr. Shaym even though I think he's wrong on one thing.

>You certainly clarified the legal wording for me. As a layperson, I understood your clear example of the differences between the old law and the new law.

That is the hope.

If he's pro choice (which I think he is although I don't have proof) then I think he's wrong on abortion.

I'm pro life.  I wouldn't call myself anti choice in that a woman should be allowed to have premarital sex under some circumstances, and contraception is fine.  It's obvious by your language that your pro choice.

How would you feel about the following offer: Abortion is illegal and contraception is free.

How about;

1} contraception is free and encouraged as smart, not dumb way forward into the future of humanity that is currently at 7.1 billion,

2} we Lock Away immoral Trumpanzees who keep injecting their nose *v* into a pregnant womans body business,

3} we Lock Away immoral Trumpanzees who support  the grabbing womens ____y irrepsective of whether they know them, or not.

Apart from the fact that you seem seduced by filler words like, "forward" and "progress", why would I agree to a deal like that?  Locking up people based off of their political stances is unconstitutional.  Also, with nearly half of the nation's population supporting Trump (it's probably a little less, but about half) you would need a lot of jails to house all those people.  Feeding them would be expensive, how would you pay for that?  How long will they be in jail?  How is your idea any different from full blown Cuban communism?  They tried to "progress" and it made them a terrible country that many people fled.

I made an offer and I thought the left was willing to compromise on things.  Maybe this is a chance to prove that claim.

You wouldn't be saying this if we were face to face, so you shouldn't use the internet to spout whatever BS goes into your head.  What if your employer finds this and fires you because you stated that you wanted to lock up Trump supporters and he/she happens to be one?

Seems fair legally. It's too bad there is no legal language saying late term abortion should be used as a last resort after live birth is ruled out.
I was wondering that myself.  If the baby has to be removed because of health reasons of the mother, why does it have to be killed?  A baby that is far enough along that it has to be removed either by induced labor or c-section could potentially be developed enough to survive and be normal.  So why does it have to be killed?
I could understand legally allowing a baby to be removed from the woman's body because of risks to the woman and if that if the baby is at a developmental age where it can't survive that's one thing.  But there doesn't seem to be exceptions if the baby is or could be viable, unless I'm missing something which is definitely possible.

Exactly. If the mother is at risk, birth will be the risk, not a live or dead fetus.

You would not and that is why you need to be Lock Away!

Locking up people based off of their political stances is unconstitutional.
Trumpanzees have no constitiutional right to stick their immoral noses *v* into a womans body without her consent. Are you on prescription medications for mental issues? How many years?

I made an offer and I thought the left was willing to compromise on things.  Maybe this is a chance to prove that claim.

Read my lips/text and try to use some rational logical common sense once your medication wears off, or you decided to take it.

From my perspective, this is a necessary allowance. Telling a woman that her rights can go away under certain circumstances is to make a mockery of 'inalienable rights'. Rights should never be revoked.

Besides, most abortions are done in the first trimester and late term abortions are more risky and typically done only in extreme cases.  This legislation is not likely to change that.

Don’t have time to do a full response to everyone now, but for some additional context here is an almost identical bill being debated in Virginia. Follow this link to see one of the co sponsors argue that it would permit abortion all the way until the moment of birth (even if the woman is currently in labor) for “mental health” reasons: https://twitter.com/realsaavedra/status/1090379242771165184?s=21

Here is the governor of Virginia advocating for infanticide:  “If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he continued. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

I’ll say this as gently as possible because I don’t think you meant it to be so, but the attitude expressed in your post (that life isn’t worth living if you’re poor) is very, very dehumanizing to people in poverty

It seems natural that those who don't really believe in sexual immorality outside of rape would be just as blind to the immorality of abortion.

really?  when asked about supporting abortion while the woman is dilated at around the 45 second mark he doesn't say no, but rather it's a decision between the mother and her doctor?  how should we interpret that?  he did pull the slimy politician tactic in that he qualified his statement a little, but not definitively.  1:08 maybe deformity, non viable fetus, did the proposed law place similar or any restrictions?  not that I have heard, but I'll wait to see if there are any.  He only brings this up much later in the interview, seems like an after thought but we shall see.  Also once the baby is delivered it's no longer an abortion, what he's talking about is deciding if the now delivered baby should be a D.N.R.  If anything he is playing politics with what an abortion actually is.

Do you support abortion on demand up to the moment of birth?
