Tyranny always comes from the hands of those who claim to be for freedom. I am for limited govt not total freedom from responsibility.

Fortunately I don't feel the need to be protected from the British Government.

Of course, there are many people around the world who do not have the same luxury.

Thats great news for government. No need to worry. Just repeat "I am safe. I am safe.".

No need.

I just get up, do stuff and then go to bed again.

I'm more likely to be hit by a bus.

Which would be my own fault, for not paying attention.

Of course we have taxes.

We obviously have to pay for social necessities and the stuff we use .

Who  else is going to pay for it?

Great. So your money is taken from you without a choice.

But its good that you dont have public schools.

Yep.

We have  education provision up until the age of 18.

We have a National Health Service

We have transport infrastructure.

We have Armed Forces, Police and rescue services.

We have social welfare services.

The list of modern day expected social provision is near endless.

How else does it get paid for?

Nonetheless, if one wants to live on the street in a cardboard box, scavenge for food and not contribute anything to society, then one is free to do so.

Though the rest of society, usually ends up footing the bill for the care of such people.

And the term "Public School" is something of a contradiction over here. It actually refers to private schools.

The majority of British youngsters attend a State School.

So you have forced state schools which indoctrinate you, and your money is taken from you without a choice.

Its great that you have forced taxes, because clearly people dont want to pay for those things but are forced to.

Its great that people are forced to pay for things they dont want to pay for. Thats how you build freedom. By forcing people.

But at least your government isnt in debt which will cause more inflation.

We are all indoctrinated; it's the nature of the beast.

And if taxation was voluntary, you would currently be sheltering under a tree, and certainly wouldn't be communicating with me via the internet.

Why do you always tend to suggest that societies somehow always evolve not as they should.

I would suggest that societies have evolved, relative to their human input.

You'll get the hang of it eventually.

Well, lets hope that forced education and money theft pays off British debt.

National debt is a farce.

An education maybe compulsory, but is not necessarily forced.

Young minds are keen to learn stuff, so it might as well be useful stuff.

Because a modern cohesive society, doesn't really need, a whole load of illiterate, innumerate dimwits.

Which makes you wonder if Trump supporters ever went to school.

Only joking.

Lets hope that inflation and working too much is a farce too.

An education maybe compulsory, but is not necessarily forced.
No, it is not forced because you are not forced to spend 8 hours a day in school. You totally have a choice there.

Young minds are keen to learn stuff, so it might as well be useful stuff.
People shouldnt be able to choose what is useful for them. Let the government choose that.

Because a modern cohesive society, doesn't really need, a whole load of illiterate, innumerate dimwits
Yes, we all have duty to serve society. We are not free individuals. We belong to society and government.

Perhaps we belong to the Universe, and must serve any universal purpose that might be dependant upon us.

But on the other hand, if nothing matters, then nothing matters.

Having seen what universe does to people, I would prefer not to belong to universe.
