Not necessarily. Sometimes scum want to stay off a townie's wagon to seem less sus. Sometimes they inadvertently make themselves more sus by trying too hard to do so.

im not placing much stock in the votes against me, I know they are weightless. I don't think owen is scum but out of the viable options he is probably best, unless we are buying that there are three town role prevention style roles. Which could be true. Behaviorally I don't scum read owen and his final pleas for his life really remind me of the first time he was lynched in his first game. So I think this will likely be a mislynch. That said I guess it's better than a no lynch and I dont think there is enough pull to get a lynch on you or whiteflame, so it will have to do.
I Can vote now or closer to the time expiration it doesn't matter.
For the record I am like 60% feeling like this is gonna be a mislynch. But the information might be useful.

For me what really clinched it was the way that you went from "Pie is too aggressive" to "I agree with Pie on almost everything" without any visible progression in between. Yes, villagers can have messy thought processes, but there was nothing to indicate your perspective was changing and no real reasoning behind it. It looked like you were trying to sponge off of him without making your own reads.Looks like I'm dead. Like always, what could I have done to avoid this situation? Any advice?
...This is you outing right? You are scum? I can give you more advice on faking the thought process as scum specifically post-game if you want.

This should never be a reason to not lynch someone unless you're wolfing. Scum can still defend Town, and they can white knight for villagers who are in trouble, yes? That's not a solid reason for Moozer to not be sussing Lunatic.

Austin said the "setup is standard 2v7" which would seem to imply no third parties, but I could be wrong about that. If third parties are a possibility, I can't completely write off 3P Moozer.

WF is fine, Flame over White.
I don't think we've played games together in the past, though if we did, it was a while back. I have certain expectations about how people will generally play as scum, not so much how you specifically will. Maybe that's a mistake on my part to generalize.
