Anyway, in the case I am not mislynched, I would like everyone to say they win with the town.

I'll just assume mafia has the ability to manipulate flips. Hopefully only 1x because that is BULLSHIT.
I win with the town.

@Savant
Thanks for finding that. It basically seals the deal. Pretty obvious what joebob was doing there
I win with the town.
I do think Beowulf is an odd character choice, either as a real or a fake flip. As far as I'm aware, he's not particularly villainous.
Hold on a moment. I've been thinking, and I take back what I said. DO NOT quick hammer.
I'd love to hear a bit more about what you're thinking about here.
I win with the town.

Gladly. Basically, there are two things that make me doubt whether that death report is genuine and untampered with. First, Beowulf is NOT a villain, at least not in the original story. He's practically a Mary Sue with the way he easily beats everyone while having no real character flaws. The antagonists of the story are Grendel, Grendel's mother, and a dragon. If anyone is aware of an adaptation of Beowulf where he is the villain, let me know, because I am not aware of such a story.
... And looking at the death report again now that I'm actually on break, I realized that I misread it. I thought JoeBob was basically just an ordinary lyncher with a scum target, which I found strange. So, there goes my second reason.
Yeah, we should probably lynch him today.
I win with the town.
This is kinda hilarious ngl, but I do agree we shouldn't rush this
It should be fairly easy to figure out whether Joebob's role is actually real by reading through his posts in DP1.

It looks like he only mentioned Earth the one time, in a post where he brought up how inactive he had been.
I'm skeptical. There's nothing in Joebob's role that stops him from just full deathtunneling Earth. Saying that "Earth is incredibly scummy and I know it" is fully allowed. I don't think he would be that subtle about it.
-->
@AustinL0926
If he did that and didn't vote Earth, he would likely get lynched.
-->
@Casey_Risk
He brought up earth twice. Apparently savant linked to him also saying unprovoked "what's up with earth"
Wait everything makes sense when I think about it from the perspective of Mafia choosing Joebob for a fake flip.
They have to choose a lowposter (otherwise it's obvious that they wouldn't have actually been pushing their target). They then pick someone from the lowposter's iso that looks like a vague accusation, and then boom, you have a ready-made mislynch.
If Joebob's role is real I'm blaming Luna btw. I don't believe it is tho.

@Savant
He can simply say that he isn't allowed to vote for Earth. Nothing in the rules against that.
Is Beowulf a villian? It's a little odd, and Joebob's PM looks a little different.
If Earth flips town then I'm turboyeeting one of Savant/Wylted btw.

That's the post I was referencing. We're talking about the same thing here.

Copied from op
, you must employ subtle tactics. However, you may not place a vote on Earth or directly tell anyone to vote for Earth, or you will die
It seems like death tunneling would be a violation of rules. I don't see how you could death tunnel while simultaneously avoiding a vote. I also have to say if he claimed he role dp2 and claimed that is why he wouldn't vote, I would have been pretty skeptical anyway.

@AustinL0926
Maybe he was just being cautious and wanted to be night-killed eventually. I lean toward assuming the flip is true. If the moderator can lie to us, what can we even trust? It would be a full-on bastard mod game.

@Earth

This is a good point. The flipped PM and my own have a quote, character bio, implied justification, role name, and a wincon, in that order. Joebob's has his role name at the beginning.

If he turns up guilty after being mod confirmed guilty, I am going to be coming after everyone looking for excuses not to vote him
Incan forgive people for waiting a bit for some discussion but anyone opposing mod confirmed scum being lynched us in my scum pool

The subtle tactics I'm pretty sure is just part of the implied justification, not an actual restriction.
If by some stroke of God, he flips innocent I am still sussing anyone not on his wagon because that would imply inside knowledge
Is anyone else's PM formatted like JoeBob's with the role at the beginning?
