Title: Welcome to Mafia Open Setup - Plurality Lynch
Welcome to the Mafia Open Setup game! Here's how it works:

Game Description: This is an open setup game where the town knows how many mafia members exist and what roles the town has. Plurality lynching is in effect, meaning whoever receives the most votes at the end of the day period will be voted out, regardless of whether a majority of votes is reached.

Rules:
  1. Day periods last for 48 hours, and night periods last for 24 hours.
  2. Players must follow the rules of conduct and refrain from sharing game-related information outside of the game thread.
  3. Players must not edit or delete their posts. Double posting is not allowed.
  4. Once a player is eliminated, they are no longer allowed to participate in the game discussion.
  5. Please respect other players and their contributions to the game.
Roles:
  • Mafia (2 members): Work together to eliminate town members during the night.
  • Town:
    • Bodyguard: Can protect one player each night. If the player they protect is targeted by the mafia, the bodyguard dies instead.
    • Watcher: Can observe one player each night to see who visits them.
Remember, the key to success in this game is strategy and communication. Use your investigative abilities wisely to root out the mafia members and protect the town!

Because it isn't doc and cop it's not as simple as saying everyone stay silent and lead random bandwagons and only if the lynched claims PR do we back off.

We are 7, 7-2 even if town is lynched is a 3v2, voting NL means we allow mafia a free shot and watcher is much less useful than cop because as far as I know mafia mechanics on DART, only one mafia does the kill visit not both.

What I mean is this: If majority is one someone, do they instantly get lynched? This is how non-plurality works.

You may have both at once.

I am very nervous to reply to this because of what is implied here. You have just outed something severe to help the scum right now, I can't directly respond to that message without helping them a lot more.

You are however a hard townread for this as idk how you'd fake what you just did as anything but town.

You may have both at once.
No, I am going to wait a full 48 hours from the posting of the DP to officially count something as a lynch. as frustrating as that can be in the final DP if everyone has their mind made up

I am working on my communication skills because of how often I am misunderstood. your first question confused me to be honest.

is plurality lynching safe from the majority then?
It is temporarily safe from the majority but if the majority of votes are on you when the timer goes off, you are unsafe.

I am sure you interpreted my answer correctly but let's keep all future questions to PMs because I want the DP to remain clean. people are free to copy and paste my answers to the DP for discussion.

That's an interesting reaction, I am more interested in how others react to this situation than you anyway.

I am fine being scumread based on gut read, gut reads are either bs by scum (mafia or third-party, in this game scum can only be mafia) or wrong, often, in mafia. People use confirmation bias to believe gut reads matter.

I vote and say things at times to get action going and reads. Are you voting me because I voted you? Is that genuinely your only contribution and a normal way to play day 1s for you?

You believed the game of mafia revolves around 1 'murderer' (true enough though serial killer is a third party role, if there's only 1 mafia member) and a nurse that saves. You didn't mention an investigative role at all and I wonder why you said nurse rather than doc. 

This game pregame was said to be cop and doc, it turns out it's watcher and bodyguard, do you understand this?
