Description
I wanted to lose a debate so I chose this. (I'm going to lose)
Round 1
Hello, I'd like to thank Intelligence_06 for engaging in this debate with me.
The key foundation for the prohibition of abortion stems from 4 key points, these are:
- Abortion violates the very most fundamental right of a human being, the right to life.
- A fetus is not simply a clump of cells, but a unique individual with its own DNA.
- It is different to drug use in the sense that you aren't harming just yourself, you are harming another life exclusive from yours, hence making it not a victimless crime.
- Pregnancy doesn't doom you to parenthood, there are alternatives you can seek out. These include adoption centres, foster care etc.
To me, abortion seems like a way of trying to cop out of being a parent, or going through the struggle of pregnancy. And it wasn't until recently I was aware how alarmingly high the abortion rate is. Approximately 73 million abortions occur yearly according to the World Health Organisation, this is more than 6 out of 10 unwanted pregnancies. This bakes into the western world a culture that will prioritise simple convenience over a voiceless human life.

Round 2
I think Intelligence_06 forfeiting this round pretty much says what needs to be said.

Round 3
And again, he's lost this and is trying to drag it out with forfeits.

Round 4

Due to Pro's excellent execution, I have lost this debate. I accept it.
Round 5

extend?
well, he has forfeited 3/5th of the debate, so its a win for pro no matter what now.
I am not even trying. He challenged me this so he could "lose a debate". Obviously it can't be that easy.
Honestly, you could still win this considering how easy it is to refute the resolution.
A fertilized egg or an embryo is a potential human being, not an actual human being.
If I eat a fertilized chicken egg, you don't say that I ate a chicken, do you?
I don't really care, I just want to debate people. I have no interest in affecting your record.
Guess what? This is “Type: Standard”. In theory, I could forfeit it all and lose nothing.
Insert mandatory remark on how lame this change is.
