Rebuttals:
My opponent claims the achaic definition of the etymological origins of pharmaceuticals has anything to do with modern practice. That is not a valid argument. 

My opponent claims the profit driven shortcomings of the pharmaceutical industry (a major problem) has anything to do with the efficacy of the drugs they produce. Non sequitur. 

My opponent claims pharamceuticals are the 4th leading cause of death in the usa, when in fact the 4th leading cause of death is chronic lower resperiatory disease. Pharmaceuticals are not in the top 10.


My opponent claims the existence of side effects negates the benefitial primary effects of the medications, like atenolol's ability to slow the heart and reduce blood pressure.

Several claims of magic, sorcery, and babies inside of vaccines are unsubstantiated and too ludicrously to respond to.

My opponent misunderstands how medications work. Management medications like atenolol and other antihypertensives, anticholesterol, antidiabetes are not recommended treatments until non pharamcological methods have failed. Diet and exercize are the prefered recommendation of the vast majority of medical experts. Other medications, like antibiotics and vaccines are short term solutions for illnesses that have plagued humanity for our entire existence. These medications are not candy. If you are healthy, they will hurt you. That is why you need a perscription to buy them. But if you require them, they can save your life. Doing damage to your liver is bad, but dying from a preventable heartattack is much worse.

If you believe in god, then the illness was all part of his plan, so was your access to modern medicine. It is up to your free will to accept it or not.

Other things that are poison in excessive quantities: oxygen, water, certain vitamins, any electrolyte, red blood cells (polycythenia vera), sugar.

Con drops most of my arguments which have been collected over the years.Con claims that the word pharmakeai does not apply today even though we derive the word pharmacy from it. We also use a snake and stick as our medical symbol. World health organization uses the snakes gods staff. even Hermes staff is used which is a snake to. Con brings up a top leading causes of death. The list did not mention a ton of things it forgot suicide which is the 10 cause of death in America 3rd in teens according to a suicide help line. it missed tobacco which has 480 thousand which is bigger then at least 3 things in your top ten leading causes of death. More importantly it missed how many people die from pharmaceuticals.



It seems everyone has there one list. it amazes me how many contradictions are on the internet why were these not on the list

Everyone seems to have there own list. anyway con seems to not understand my argument on anterol. I was mad that they put it in the water. prescription drugs are dangerous.you need a prescription to get the for a reason.They should not be given to everyone through water. He then talks about a bunch of false stuff about the drug. he says they are not candy. So why is it given out like candy. My mom is on antenol. What if a six year old drinks water and gets the the antenol.because they added it to the water. What if the kid starts seeing thing because they added this drug to the water.

God made herbs thank you very much. your drugs are just bootlegged version of it. Since you make 70 percent of your drugs off plants. Your medicine is just bootlegged versions of what god created. But what God created does not have  insane side effects like yellow eyes and skin. If it makes you feel better ancient people had 70 percent  of  your so called wonderful modern medicine. since  Indians and ancient china used herbs as medicine. 70 percent of modern medicine comes from plants. so they had 70 percent of modern medicine except no side effects.  They did not suffer from side effects like yellow skin and eyes. thoughts of suicide.Modern medicine is just the bootleg version of what god created.

In declaring medications as poison, my interlocutor is neglecting the benefitial effects of these medications. He previously cited atenolol, and listed many negative side effects.

Some people are allergic to peanut butter, others are intolerant of lactose. These are not drugs. Yet they create many of the same side effects in some select people. Itching. Hives. Nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, even broncodialtion and anaphylactic shock, which has a significant chance of death. With targeted chemicals, more specific reactions can happen to small groups of people. None of these negate the positive nutritional benefits of peanut butter and milk, nor those of medications.

Atenolol is a beta blocker. In people whose heart is racing, this can not only shoot up their blood pressure, it wears out the heart. The high blood pressure adds extra strain on the heart. And then their heart fails. Probably far sooner then the kidney (or liver) damage atenolol will do. Btw, everything damages the liver, so lets call living a poison at this point.

Atenolol belongs to a class of drugs known as beta blockers. It works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and bloodvessels. This effect lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

If you do experience nasty side effects there are many other alternatives.

70 percent of new drugs made come from plants.So 70 percent of prescription drugs has a plant version that does the same thing  and without side effects like yellow skin and eyes.So the so called health benefits of prescription drugs can be equaled by a simply flower.

Prozac health benefits  Are matched by a  flipping flower. The poster child for prescription drugs. A Flipping flower works just as good as an engineered drug
One of those lines is the Prozac group; the other, the saffron group. And, as you can see, it doesn't really matter which is which, because they both worked equally well. Of course, 20% percentage of Prozac users suffered from sexual dysfunction—an all too common side effect—whereas not one did in the saffron group

So prescription drugs  are useless compared to what God has given us.

My mom is on antelol and i don't think it has helped her.
Plus i can easily just find a plant that does the same thing. I have flipping hawthorn berry's tree outside. The reason why hawthorn berry's interact with heart medication is because it does the same thing. Almost every plant helps with high blood pressure.and controls blood pressure so that can easily be ignored

As I said, atenolol has a very specific effect. It simply stops some nerve impulses to the heart. This slows and relaxes the heart, as well as some veins. It does not heal the veins, the heart, nor it does not remove gunk from the veins. It will not make your mother's condition better. It will keep your mothers condition from causing a stroke or heart failure, but it will not make anything she has go away. You not understanding what the medication does, does not mean it isn't doing anything. 

Re Plants

Yes, most medications come from plants. There is a reason we dont just use the plants.

1. The plants are the same chemicals, as you admit, therefore they have the same effects, and side effects


2. Perserving plants long term is impossible, unless you carry around a freezer which may damage the specimen,

3. Taking, buying, storing, and carrying plants is alot less practical.

4. Plants may not have the chemical in the right concentration. Some too weak, others too strong. Others are mixed with other chemicals which we may not want.

So, no thank you to plants and frog glands. I'll stick to pills, especially with the same exact side effects.

Also what do you plan to do about injectable medications even if you do find it in the wild, like insulin?
