We were planning an early thanksgiving for my mom who is blind and not very mobile but we had a blizzard here and my sister-in-law had strep throat so I called off Thanksgiving which was rather sad.

Well with Ram, Rag, and Blam all modding I think they are slowing down debate pace. Semperfortis looks like a tough challenger for sure

I've never done any formal debating and I don't even know the formats, etc. What I do is try to pick opponents who are less formal than I am, I use the DebateART style guide, if opponents don't set BoP or define terms I define them my way, there's a pretty small set of regular judges so I try to think of them as my audience but I also try to write interestingly. I mostly try to pick subjects I care about and actually have an opinion about. I try really hard to think of original arguments and write original sentences so I'm not just rehashing old stuff.

Most genius talk is really just supremacy talk - unwarranted and uncharitable assertions of superiority. Most people accept that intelligence is hard to define so why wouldn’t high intelligence or super intelligence be at least as elusive? No I am not a genius and fuck all self-assessed geniuses generally. Let history decide who was a genius.

I’m glad I got the medal but I’m hardly the best. My tactics have been sneaky. In pure debate, there’s a bunch here that can beat me. Ragnar, bsh, imabench have beat me a few times. Thett3, tej, whiteflame are devastating debaters that have been pretty inactive
